- The AMA has released the lineup for Team USA's entry into the 2024 Motocross of Nations. The lineup has Red Bull KTM's Chase Sexton and Aaron Plessinger in MX1 and the Open classes respectively. While the long-awaited MX2 entry has gone to Team Honda HRC's Chance Hymas, after Haiden Deegan was removed from consideration early in the week. Excuse *Star* also had a talk with *Anstie* & supporting him, long story short had *Eli* beat *AP* & chosen for *Des Nations, Star* would make the investment & *Deegan* would have gone. They told *Anstie* who would have ridden tor team Britain they didn't want to half ass it & I think had *Eli* been chosen they would have gone all in

ET3 has only had 2 races after injury. By the time MXoN goes off, he would firmly be better than AP7 but the decision had to be made this week. As an Ohio guy, I love AP7, but i wish the team was CS4, ET3 and HD38.

yeah. gonna be very start-dependent. the big hit with Hymas instead of Deegan is that Deegan is really the *only* 250 rider this year who showed the consistent ability to recover from bad starts. Hymas and Kitchen moto wins were mostly starting in the lead or close to it, iirc. I'm confident that if they start up front they can finish top 5. but if they get buried at the start? oof.

Getting the screws out of his wrist is a terrible excuse. They have already been in there for nine months, what's another two weeks? The sponsors need to provide better funding to get these guys to travel out there. I am sure if there was more sponsor support then the team would not be so reluctant to send Haiden. The US team is still pretty damn good though, Hymas is fast AF. Stoked to see our boys representing the US! Lets go!
I think that the team will do fine without Haiden "Sky Dog" Deegan. Getting the hardware out of the wrist is legit based on doctors recommendations and the risk of infection.
It cost Australia a lot more and they have to travel a lot further to Europe but they never have a problem sending their best guys every single year. US fell off hard the past decade. Pretty embarrassing really

Bobby Regan 👎 Don't want to let your riders support their country. Find yourself another country. Deegan said he definitely wanted to go. The surgery is just an excuse. It is to remove screws. Recommended at some point but does not sound like a pressing issue. If you hire top level championship riders you should plan for the possibility of supporting them representing their country and be proud to do it! Remove "Star" from your team name if you won't let your rider support the Stars & Stripes! Good Luck! Chase, Aaron, & Chance! You Can do it!

I am sure Star racing is being honest. I remember how honest and transparent they were when Deegan’s bike was claimed and the manipulated and threatened a kid out of the bike he was rightfully owed. Character like that makes it easy to trust them.

Im a little disappointed. In Deegan, he has his reasons, and it's a good one at that. He is an incredible rider, and all great riders carry a certain amount of arrogance. You can go as far back as rick johnson and as current as the bullet. However, their determination to ride for their country has been far bigger than their arrogance to just win within their nation. Mxon is not just international. It is where the global fan base gets to meet and view their idols that become legends.
Hell yeah AP and Chance! Go get em Team USA and all you have to do is give it everything and do it with class and we'll all be proud.... and that Gold Medal wouldn't hurt either.😉

After AP's lackluster and somewhat embarrassing performance in last years event, for no other reason, I would have left him off the team. By the time the MXON Eli would be up to speed with "BEASTMODE" in tow! Make no mistake about it. #38, if asked, would be available and would bring his "A" game, which is undeniably the best in class for sure.

Deegan lives rent free in your head, it's a business decision HD had nothing to do with it. He wanted to go, even talked about it being the first time he would be out of the country. Imagine this outdoor season without him? His come from behind rides to the front were amazing. MXDN is a money grab means nothing. pay the teams and riders then you will get the best.

I'm still a fan of deegan the kid could lay on a beach somewhere the rest of his life and never worry about money or hard work but he works his bag off to be where he is I 100% respect him for what he does but I just wish he would get his ass to mxon that's all

We have a good chance to be on the box. Much better team than last year. We will need a few bits of luck but we could win it. Netherlands and Australia id say are 1-2 favs right now. Belgium dark horse

Glen Coldenhoff is too inconstant, Top 5 or 20-DNF is possible. With Vlaanderen, Netherlands would have had the best team in their history
France is favorite since Renaux made a very convincing comeback. French teams in which Romain Febvre was part were undefeated. Vialle a a solid MX2 rider.
Australia Netherlands and France and Individuals like Prado Guijser and a few others will keep US fourth or fifth
@@el86lo36fky . The Netherlands has arguably the best 450 rider and 250 on earth. One is one of the greatest of all time. Hoff only needs to be decent and they can win for sure. It will probably rain anyway and like Sweden will win or something.

We aint even getting top 3 with this lineup. Chase will perform but AP will likely struggle and so will Hymas. The only chance we had at winning was Sexton, Eli, and Deegan.
Sexton has become a beast this year. He has shown so much growth since last and he definitely has beast mode in him. I’ve been so impressed in his bike handling and control. I’m really pumped to see him against Jet. That will show his place in history.💯👍✌️✊☝️🙏💪🤙🇺🇸🫡
Chase, AP and Deegan all earned a spot on team USA it’s unfortunate deegan cannot go but in reality team USA could consist of 4th string riders and I would support them to the end and not bitch about it especially considering the fact that these factories sales are down because of the US economy and hats off to Honda for going all in. If Eli would have gone deegan would have gone. Honda will already be out there for Jett and hunter so logistically Hymas makes more sense. Kid is legit huge Hymas fan

This is what happens when the AMA doesn't support it's riders and teams financially to represent Team USA. Chance Hymas is going because Team Honda HRC are probably taking 4 riders with 3 being supported by there national board. Edit: it would seem they are taking 5 riders if Jo is going for Japan.

Everybody wants Anstie on team GB but I am sure I read though Anstie wants to do it if picked he doubts it will happen for logistical reasons. If true an interesting situation. Bit of a blow for Kitchen not to get the 250 ride unless he turned it down as well.

Come on michael dont go along with the bs from the deegans. If he cant go due to needing surgery then why was he going to go if eli went? The reason is because its not because of surgery but he bailed because he didnt think the team was good enough with ap over eli.
Haiden doesnt have a current injury, the surgery is something he is choosing to get to remove a plate from his wrist. Theres really not going to be any recovery from that. Itll be sore for a couple days. This is an excuse that is being used to cover their tracks.
