As a rider/racer since 1973. Having to join the AMA to race local races. We the members should demand a percentage of our membership fee's go to pay for the riders fee's, flights, motels, food etc. The factories should sack up and support the riders, this country, and the fans.
As an ama member, what does your membership fee go too, does it benefit you in any way besides being able to race ama sanctioned events??
The AMA is useless they suck all the money out of racing and won’t even support the MXdN.
Thankfully you don’t have to buy an ama membership to race at Glenn Helen.

People are blowing the star think out of proportion. Haiden confirmed himself that he has to go under the knife and get metal out. Eli pulled out because he’s an honest guy and AP deserves it, it’s as simple as that. Other than chance, it’s the best guys riding, and chance still showed that he can win a moto.
I’m a huge Deegan guy and you could argue when they both are at 100% chance is faster so I’m cool with it.
@mingomane1 I think it's very depending on track I don't think hymas is faster on most tracks cause deegan won almost half the motos this year and run them all down when he needed to and more consistent till the end hymas was faster some tracks though like at Colorado and NY but by unadilla I think haiden was In championship mode, I do think hymas is a great pick anyway if he dials in like unadilla and stays on his wheels kid will be a weapon

Chase is gonna be chasing Jett all weekend long at MXdN he’s about to be humbled fairly quickly too with the playoffs.

I agree 100% with Sexton we need to send our best riders so we can win for our country and stop all the behind the scenes bullshit and do whatever it takes to get that trophy, Should have been Sexton, Tomac and Deegan, I like AP but with the type of track it is i just think Tomac would do better there then AP and now Sexton has to go out and win all his class with alot of pressure and hope the other 2 get on podium in their motos aswell.
Some of the comments here demonstrate that people listen to less than 1/2 of what was actually said and you should absolutely forget about those people correctly interpretting any implications made. Love to hear that Chase is so passionate about this subject.
He's dogging on guys for not going when they have legit reasons not to go, when he himself chose not to go last year. I would rather he had gone even with the little time on the KTM than anyone we sent. He's being a hypocrite.
@@dougdickason the pins need to be taken out exactly during the time when MXoN is on? there's no way they would last 2 extra weeks? And as Steve pointed out Star Yamaha took Alex Martin, Jeremy Martin and Justin Cooper in the years prior so there's no way it's solely a team financial thing. Given the number of people who have turned it down over the years you wouldn't single Deegan out except they spend a lot of time marketing his image as a "Heart of USA" guy. Finally including this year Chase will have gone 2 out of 3 possible times. Including this year Deegan will be 0 for 2.
@@mckyvr the screws and strap being taken out has nothing to do with the timing of des nations, but the timing of the beginning of off season training to race west coast sx, as Haiden has done east his first two years and they want to get him familiar with A1 and the west coast type tracks with harder dirt. This is where the weighing of options by Star comes in and planning. Also, Pro Circuit use to send riders but Mitch has quit doing so for 10 years as he didn't like that the head of KTM was head of team USA the last 40 years and questioned some of Roger's choices back about 10 years ago. Also, im not sure that Star is as flush with cash as it has seemed over the years, as there were stories about Star looking to sell. Recently even, a rumor popped up about Chad Reed and Brian Deegan teaming to start their own team in 2026 or buying Star. Max Anstie wanted to do des nations as it's in his homeland and was bugging Star about going. He said that they did not budget for des nations and it would have to be worth it for them to send someone, which possibly meant they needed to send someone like Tomac as Tomacs cost would be fully covered by factory Yamaha and then Star could package another bike with that and cutting a lot of the costs.

Haiden Deegan has screws in his wrist that needs to be taken out with surgery. He needs to finish SMX first and if he went to France then have surgery he risked missing the start of next season.
Smaller times go to be a part of the race, if Deegan goes he is going there to win. So yeah money does matter, if your going to go there to win, your going to want to go with the best equipment possible, that alone if $$$.

Deegan has always said he wants to do it, absolutely not his fault there are politics involved. He does what Star tells him, right up until last week he publicly said he really wants to go so something must have happened .

AP is solid, but will never be in the top group and rarely do top racers fitness line up a the same time. The top group is Chase, Jett, Prado, Fabre, Gajser, Renaux, Geerts, Vialle, and Herlings vs. Tomac. For anyone that has followed motocross for an extended period of time it would be hard to say that Eli vs. Herring's isn't the long waited race that has never happened. Obviously both are past their prime but were never able to race each other in their prime because of injuries and either rider entering the other riders series at a time when they couldn't focus on racing each other... This year is the last time Eli and Jeffery would have that opportunity. Eli will for sure be back up to speed within the next couple of weeks... where will AP's speed be? We will see at the end of the play off's but AP is not getting faster. Send Chase, Eli, and Deegan

Our sport is in danger of being cancelled. We need to take every opportunity to grow the sport and our best riders showing up at MXoN is how we get the word out when we win.
SX, Motocross, and SMX are no where near being cancelled. MXGP is, but that's b/c it can't be lucrative for anyone other than the major teams

The ghost riding will also ruin things for future riders. Once someone is injured, a lawsuit will make restrictive rules about that and how far away track workers can stand etc.

Fact: Des Nations would be much more elevated and in the same category as Chase’s Olympics example, or the Ryder Cup for golf, if it was Every-Other-Year!
As Chase said, it adds two weeks to an already very long season. It’s a big lift for the teams, and riders every year.
It’ll be much more anticipated and exciting if it was every two years.
Second Fact: It won’t change or go to every other year because the promoters have a golden goose. Can’t blame them.
