Eli is such a class act. That dude has never complained once in his career. Glad hes start consistency back, its really so important with the way these tracks are designed this season. If he keeps getting good starts we are in for some great battles at the end of this season. I can't wait for the next race!

He was skimming them Tom was jumping them

yup, pretty lame the rules are being changed by the uppers to lower the skill gap and bring the elites down to easier levels so they can't show their skills. "Everybody gets a car!" 🧐
They want to build a whole track of on off sections it seems,that freaking section is on 90% of the tracks

Bring back the dragon backs. Bring back the technical obstacles! You can watch supercross tracks from the 90s and they were way more crazy and technical. They had like step ups going into bowl turns and then step off going out! I miss the crazy supercross tracks... bring em on!

I w been looking back at older SX races from 2013 and such, those tracks looked so much better than the tracks today. The tracks today all look the same. Whoever designs these tracks, needs to go back and watch some older tracks that Stewart, Dungey, RV and Reed battled on. Go back to those style tracks. Get the money people up top OUT OF THE SPORT!!!

AMA and Feld are doing everything possible to help Jett break McGrath's record. I don't think the timing of removing whoops and dragon's backs are a coincidence.
Actually less technical helps everyone keep up with Jett. He's fast in whoops and hits jumps nobody else does. More then likely would have even more wins if tracks were more technical
What are you talking about? The harder the track the more likely Jett wins. They've made the tracks so easy he has no where to make up time. Everyone does the same rhythm and the whoops are a joke. Jett would put a half second on the field ever lap through a real whoop section. If anything Feld just wants to avoid him dominating like he did outdoors.
I wasn’t even on Twitter except to read scores from my daughters softball club. And suddenly ET3 comment was top of a feed I never used. I did the same thing about chasing down whether it was the real Tomac posting 😅
I have always just heard his nick-name "Philthy Phil" and never put 2&2 together. The name is spot on. Definitely needs to be a regular!

Awesome interview! Here’s an idea for the future. If the AMA is scared for the riders. For super duper cross they should bring back whoops over 9 and dragon backs… in theory SMX is only the elite of elite. Those riders should be able to tackle that with no issue.
Favourite part of the interview is phill trying to come to terms with getting older and seeking reassurance from tomac about training less haha..

Yes I have said this before, Lewis asking the riders questions is unbelievably condescending and the way he words the questions, it’s almost like he’s saying they suck. I don’t care for his interviews at all. Glad to see tomac feels the same way.
I don't even ride dirt bikes, and I have noticed how the whoops as they are seem to be just long enough now that you can hang on until the end almost all the time, no matter how ugly they start to get, nothing like it used to be.

My wife claims Eli does best when he wears gear with pastel colors, but when he wears dark colors he struggles. She is a big fan and got me on board the Tomac train a few years ago. Maybe someone can make Eli aware of this pastel connection……..
But if they tell them, then the universe will know he's in on it and they'll take away Tomacs mystical winning energies that are manifested in the lighter section of his wardrobe.

It was the best itw of ET3. I agree with him about whoops and dragons back. The sport is becoming like this era, soft and one of the reason that I love this sport is because that's not a soft sport. It's an elite sport with elite riders. They should deal with long set of whoops and dragon backs.
Ride soft rutted tracks like those after an injurie like this is for real men. He did good in those conditions. I don't think he will be in for 2025 because he doesn't like how SX look right now I hope I m wrong. Look at SX races from the 90' and early 2000, they were real tracks. Make everything to closing the gap and speed between riders at some point it's just ridiculous.
I would love to see him help Triumph in 2025. They run Kayaba and Monster, it would be a good fit for both side.

Between the muddy tracks and the completely neutered whoop sections these races have become boring sprint races. Please bring back some challenging tracks so the elite guys can shine!

Make Supercross Great Again! Bring back the real whoops...back-to-back, like Anaheim used to be.
Before I even watch this, my biggest criticism of the tracks especially on the east coast is the whoops it makes zero sense at how fast they get blown out not t mention taking them out one round if they lasted when JS7 and RC4 there’s no reason they can’t last now.
It is quite poignant that ALL those guys jumped past the medic flag, but the guy that was most on form saw it

Phil got some good questions
Big whoops and harder tracks separated the men from the boys. McGrath and Larocco excelled in the tough tracks others didn't keep the pace.
As cool as it would be to see Eli outdoors, I think he should take it off, the current schedule is too much year after year. I’d rather see Eli on another SX season, or a part time schedule like RC did
Personally I prefer watching Eli outdoors. It's the only time we have really seen beast mode in full tilt. Plus Jett rolling a perfect season is more reason I want to see a healthy Eli compete.
