Thank you Anthony, I really appreciate it. I felt very blessed being up there once again in lovely conditions. Sadly I couldnt get much of a tune out of the bagpipes so I will leave it to the Scots! Atb Joss

Me and my wife love your wild camping videos Joss. We are in our early 50's and got into camping last year. We spent a couple of nights wild camping inbetween Dolgellau and fairbourne and loved it. we also bought a Citroen Berlingo which we are converting into a camper for those quick get aways. We love Wales and feel it is our second home. If you can recommend any wild camping spots either to pitch up ten or park up in our camper car. that would be great. Our only grumble with your videos is that they aren't long enough lol. We really enjoy the fact that you show a lot of the scenery around you and you dont talk all the way through but just when it matters. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Bless you
Thanks Tony, glad that you enjoy the films. I will be out again soon, fingers crossed! Im not familiar with camper parking spots too much but I know if you head to the quieter areas of snowdonia where there are less tourists, you will find nice ‘park ups’. @@jossthomas123456 trying for Sunday instead, weather looks better, do I keep left rather than going towards llyn idwal, looks that way on map, an a scramble by small water fall?👍🙏
mr glamper yes mate, you come off the path for Llyn Idwal on the left and go over some rougher ground. That soon turns into a path again which is scrambly but mainly a steep walk. It levels out soon enough and you are at the lake. There is a ‘hump’ of land jutting into the lake on the left where I camped. If you watch the first few minutes of this video, it takes you to the lake ruclips.net/video/laVy22Qy1Zg/видео.html
Excellent footage Joss only a recent subscriber but really enjoying your films 👍🏻 the slate mine & lagoon looked amazing... Hi James Thanks for the comments, glad you enjoyed the video. The sunglasses are Julbo. Ive had them for 5 years and they are really tough. Thanks for watching, atb Joss
Climbed snowdonia and camped there in my teens . I remember lots of pain , a friend crying and Saying “no More no I’m not walking “ 😂 . Walking until sunset and more walking crack of dawn . But the best place we camped somewhere in snowdonia at the top there was a huge lake it was just breathtaking . I soon forgot about all my aches and pains . When the staff were asleep I thought it would be wise to wake up 5am and wash my hair with cold water, it was winter . But to be fair my hair looked like it had a bottle of oil in it , after 3 days and I couldn’t tolerate it . I was also used to washing my hair with cold water . However my teacher noticed the damp Hair, and I got a good telling off😂 . I remember being upset because I never got in trouble . But apparently I could have caught pneumonia , hypothermia and they’d need mountain rescue for me. No hospital for miles and miles . About 3 years ago I went to Steele falls in Scotland , since I live here and that gave me the same emotions of Snowdonia . We are being lazy since we have good walks and mountains over here, and Wales seems so far . But I should go back with my children, to relive it before I’m too old and tired to hike . Thank you for the video , brought back lots of good memories
Hello joss , firstly , it was a lovely video and really enjoyed watching it . Secondly, i wanted to ask you if you know any other spots because me and my mates wanted to go on a wild camping too , thank you.
Hi Sahib thanks for the kind comments. Glad you enjoyed. Remember to camp high as you can, away from paths and leave no trace- no campfires! Here is a playlist to give you some ideas! Let me know how you get on… enjoy! ruclips.net/p/PLRjkWIimmeixQ7fSreL0c4aNg6A8LAtUQ
Love a bit of Compo, but that looked rank. The big Gary Baldy needs some tea man. Bag pipes made me howl 👍🏼 loved the feeling of semi isolation, no bugger else there.
Cracking walk and what a view, apart from the "flying friends" - I would have been going mental, hate the bloody things. Was the trig on Moel Tryfan? Great editing Joss and as always a pleasure to watch one of your episodes.
Thanks Alan glad you enjoyed it. Much appreciated. I deliberately left any place names out of the video, just so as to give the location a little anonymity, if that makes sense. Atb Joss
I live here in a village down the road and this is where I collect magic mushrooms every autumn because there’s a massive abundance and it’s stunning. I have never ever dared to swim in the lagoon since everyone said that it would swallow you up because of the dust, well I guess that’s just bs lol.
Mate you're an absolute legend. Are you on insta? Heard a lot about the secret blue lagoon. Always wanted to trek there. You got some balls going there alone and camping out too. Thank buddy, it really was a special place. Bochlwyd is a great spot. I had my first solo camp there.. high wind in the forecast though.. hope the forecast changes for you! Atb Joss
If you watch the first few minutes of this video, it takes you to the lake

@@jossthomas123456 thanks joss much appreciated 👍🙏
Great video! I aim to visit this year
That bagpipe music when blowing up the mattress 😂
Really enjoyed it fella. Thanks for all the time and effort producing the video. I'll have the cinnamon bun if it's still going.
Lol thanks for watching John! Yes you can have the bun!
Snowdonia at its best 🏴 I loved the bagpipes 😂
Thanks Jessica! Glad you enjoyed it, all the best, Joss
Thanks Jessica much appreciated! Atb Joss
Another great vid fella, when are you next up on the Clwydians? Wouldn’t mind tagging along, if you wouldn’t mind a fellow Welshman coming with you!
Ah sorry, must've missed it, amazing!
Excellent footage Joss only a recent subscriber but really enjoying your films 👍🏻 the slate mine & lagoon looked amazing... I’ve only been down to Wales for Pen y Fan & a camp in the dry reservoir but hope to get back soon to tick Snowdon off🙏
I’m interest in your wrap around sun glasses, do you have a make/brand I can look up please?
Cheers keep em coming😄👍🏻
Hi James Thanks for the comments, glad you enjoyed the video. The sunglasses are Julbo. Ive had them for 5 years and they are really tough. Thanks for watching, atb Joss
Nice one subbed up
Thank you Paul! Much appreciated
Climbed snowdonia and camped there in my teens . I remember lots of pain , a friend crying and Saying “no
More no I’m not walking “ 😂 .
However my teacher noticed the damp
Hair, and I got a good telling off😂 .

Love the video. Try leaving your rations in the packet and boiling them in water including the cinnamon bun 👌🏽
Thanks Henry.. ahh now that makes sense. The warmth would liven the bun up a little👍
lol better still open pack throw the contents away and eat the packet
Love a bit of Compo, but that looked rank. The big Gary Baldy needs some tea man. Bag pipes made me howl 👍🏼 loved the feeling of semi isolation, no bugger else there.
jason phillips thanks mate! It was rank, big garibaldi lol!! Thanks for watching my friend, atb Joss
Atb Joss
Great video
Thank you buddy
Blue lagoon looks awesome pal I heard you're not allowed to go there now by somebody?
Thats a different one, in Fairbourne. Farmer blocked up the access tunnel
@@jossthomas123456 Ah I see ok cheers
I live here in a village down the road and this is where I collect magic mushrooms every autumn because there’s a massive abundance and it’s stunning.
I have never ever dared to swim in the lagoon since everyone said that it would swallow you up because of the dust, well I guess that’s just bs lol.
The bagpipe bit 😂😂😂
I want to go too. Where is it? I would even do some swimming in winter :)
Loving the bagpipes 😂
Mate you're an absolute legend. Are you on insta?
Heard a lot about the secret blue lagoon. Always wanted to trek there.
You got some balls going there alone and camping out too.
Really enjoyed every part of the vid mate, the editing, the jokes, the drone shots and the history too.
Keep it up.
Hopefully ill be able to catch up with you on a summers day
Love from Manchester
Thanks for the kind comments buddy. The original ‘blue lagoon’ near Fairbourne, got blocked off by the farmer after loads of people littering and disrespecting the place. Yeah Im on Insta if you look for ‘a walk in the wild wood’
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching and commenting, atb Joss
Mi oeddwn arfer byw ger Yr Eifl/I used to live near Yr Eifl. Another good upload mate. I know your spot but my lips are sealed ;) Da iawn.
Lle braf i fyw! Diolch yn fawr. Thanks Scott much appreciated. Hope you are keeping safe and well. Its a cracking spot which I will no doubt return to👍👍👍
Great video as always but where do you park? Worth putting a grid ref for safe overnight parking that would be really useful 👍
Keep them coming.
Thanks Tony. I dont publicise my locations too openly, part of the fun is the hunt for special places and it means that these places dont get spoiled by too many people going. Its also on private land and people need to take care with their own risk in mind👍
@@jossthomas123456 I hear that sir 👍
Hi Joss, hope you're keeping well buddy. Ain't seen you upload for a while.
Thanks Buddy, all good. Been very busy during lockdown as Im a key worker. Looking forward to getting out soon though! Atb Joss
