awesome hands down no question the #1 band in the nation that has the largest book, diversity of arrangements, and consistent program with each season topping it's former.
Anyone who knows me and knows my background knows I have never been a huge fan of SU, but while I am not a fan, I have always given credit were credit was due. This was a very good arrangement and i for one, thought I would never here them play anything gospel. But I really like this . A very good look for them. I must say that lick at 2:25 - 2:28 ...whew..... almost made a brutha catch a corner!!! Good job SU!
+marshall Winston and what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? My comment wasn't about me or who I am, but about the musical qualities that SU demonstrated. oh yea, you have a contact pic and i still don't know you...ijs!
Morris Brown College to me had the best arrangement & their tubas were just magnificent on this arrangement, But SU did their thing as usual & I expected nothing less, But If anyone can find MBC's version please post it, I actually recorded it in person but cant find that vhs to save my life. They played it as a tribute to one of their trumpet players who passed...
+Brian Simmons Hello sir, if you don't mind me asking, where do you get your sheet music from? I would love for my band to play this; I think it's different for high school bands (as a student) to play gospel music and this would be a great song for us to play. It's not something you see on a regular basis with high school bands.
Tbh SU version is better because FAMU version was made to be played with a choir and the band doesn't actually play the melody. So technically Su has the better band arrangement
Not sure what to say, as so many said great arrangement - but I expected someone over the top based on the comments on some websites. Its a solid arrangement - but FAMU's arrangement is memorable in comparison....this exposes Southerns weakness (playing anything other than FFF).
My favorite gospel song!!! How beautiful 😍😍😍
we'll never hum, harmonize, or even attempt to sing "Order My Steps" the same after hearing this arrangement.. 👍🏼👍🏼.
He has some nice cords in this....Got that Baptist Church feel....I feel it

I'm a Marching Storm fan all day, but mad props to SU for this arrangement. Nice job!

This arrangement is beautiful but still comes second to the 100 version
Where do you get your music from? I need this piece in my life!
They write in in the band hall.

I BOW DOWN,

Gregory Hyson True Idk Why Everybody Say FAMU It Is Really Not That Good But SU Was Chill Giving It’s well Balanced Also
🎉
Giving FAMU early 2000s late 90s
2019~05~11
FAMU Has a great version but IN MY OPINION SU has the better one💯 Hands down to me the arrangement is better than FAMU and more complex👌🏾
The FAMU version is overrated, nevertheless it’s still great. I just think SU’s version is better.
FAMU version lacks soul.
I like su but they play so sharp and can’t play mid register due to the small mouth pieces

this is simmons 2nd year graduated in 12 I give props to this young director
true because of 100 woodwinds softer balance
Southern Sounds good but FAMU Sounds Better.
FAMU is just better than this arrangement but for SU its good
beautiful
