I'm going to stand up for myself and I won't back down from a confrontation. Too many times I've been mistreated by others because I was too scared to speak up and I wanted others to be happy without considering my own wellbeing. God please lend me your strength and give me the courage for what I'm about to do.
This helps, but even when I did this (I still do) a few years back, I'm still not confident. I'm not scared to fight, but I'm not confident. This dude is right. Doing hard stuff, hard work, overcoming.... that is where it's at
same here my mate, and you are 100% right, stand up, its all about standing up, even though you don't have courage, still stand up as weak as you can be, stand up, its not easy, i have the same issue, but its worth it, may God strength your heart. and I've realized that it's been a year since this comment, so how did it go standing up for yourself mate.
@@Love-thyself I lost the battle, but I won the war. I was 17 when I posted this comment; I confronted the man who was causing me all my troubles, face to face, non of that internet malarkey. I was scared, my voice whimpered, my knees felt like noodles; when I look back at it, there was nothing to be afraid of. I don't think I got my point across in that confrontation, always you think to yourself, "I could have, should have, would have..." - but I did the best that I could in that very moment. That event tested my mettle, and is partially what made me the man today: the outcome is not what is to be praised, rather, the will to act when under pressure, I believe the latter is what separates Boys from Men. I'm 19, stronger, wiser, and bolder - all credit to Jesus. As for my adversary, he became obese and is in a path of self destruction. Many people like to say "you should forgive your enemies", but only those who ask for forgiveness deserve forgiveness, and I doubt my enemy will ever repent. The only way to achieve peace is through war; Negotiations are delays of the inevitable; Pacifists get pushed around; The victors are those who take action.
Does the average guy even know how to relax? Or is he stressed out of his mind when he's "resting"? Is resting just sitting around doing nothing? Or is it clearing your mind an allowing it a break from daily stress. I personally believe it is the latter. And honestly, i haven't met many men capable of clearing their minds. Took me a bit to get the hang of it, but you can do it with meditation. Best part is, it only takes 10-15 minutes to meditate a bit and give your mind a rest. So you you end up with more usable time rather than less, as you no longer need to sit on the couch in front of the TV for 3 hours to relax.
As i am sitting here watching and listening to your words, i can heard my Grandfathers voice saying the very same thing in my youth. i lost him to soon and it has been a hard road since then. he was the great MANLY example for me. thank you for helping me look inward and find the answers i have been so in need of.
I want to thank you for taking the time to make this video. You opened my eyes. I realize now that the problem was me.. I didn't want to admit it.. I'm now focusing on me...
Speaking with more confidence when standing up for myself …not letting things happen to me just because it’s easy to keep quiet rather than what I feel and actually want
This video motivates me to do things that are outside of my comfort zone. I always found that I acquire confidence through experience, like you said, it's the action that matters.
I'm gonna get back into working out regularly, build better dietary habits, talk to women more, and stand by my convictions instead of remaining silent.
Timely video for me. 55 years old. Started BJJ two months ago. I suck. Feel like I am going backwards, not forwards. I do have a fear, a fear that I will never improve. I will keep training. I know what people will say, "Just hang in there and you will get better". But it absolutely does not feel that way.
I grew up in a single parent household, and as a result I did most of the things my mom taught me to until I hit a certain age and started hanging out with the 'cool kids' (So I started smoking, drinking etc... just to get accepted). My father and I never were close enough to each other, today I feel uncomfortable with myself etc... So I'll talk to him about my struggles and get him to understand why I seem very distant and different from all my brothers that are so talkative while I just stay there like a wallflower.
I am going to study for my Certified Personal Trainers Certification. Thank you for everything that you inspire in me!! I also did the Spartan Sprint in April 19 in Atlanta. I'm 46 my son is 16, I struggled but we finished. Do hard things!!!
I expressed myself emotionally to my brother and sister. I buried my emotions for many years and would more often then not act tough or put on a mask. That made me feel very insecure about my looks and emotions. By expressing my emotions in a healthy way, I can then go through and assess my mental inventory to find what doesn't work for me in my life. In my opinion, it's all about balance. 🙂
I tend to lose a lot of time playing videogames. But is a hobby that I love, I'm gonna buy a camera and create and streaming, so maybe I can make this time more profitable: 1st - as a side hustle 2nd - improve my confidence talking to strangers
I had an issue with a very high production dairy. I drive truck-we pick up farm milk at dairies. I loaded this dairy the first time and it was a fiasco. I swore I would NEVER load it again! I finally did and, with the years of experience I now have, things went a lot better. Plus I started doin keto 3 weeks ago. My life is coming together.
Thanks man, it all makes so much more sense to me now. I took action a month ago and it catapulted me to a greater degree of confidence. Now I can go even higher thanks to your help. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

Hey Ryan. I recently joined the fb group, which led me to your podcast and this channel. My actions to begin are resetting my physical fitness, starting now. I just did a set of bodyweight squats while I finished this video, and made a date with the wife to go for a long trail walk later today. The REAL challenge though, i'm going to make myself go back to school and finish my bs in engineering. Whether I do anything with it or not is no longer important, but I have absolutely made excuse after excuse, because I'm scared of failing. Thanks for all the content you put out. Take care

Thanks for this energizing video. Recently I have found myself lacking motivation to do the things I need to do in order to finish well in my current job and not burn any bridges. You see; I have accepted a position in another school district. The thing is that I am so sick and tired of having to take work home; yet like you explain in your video, it helps tremendously to think about the fundamental reasons why we do things. Well this job has helped me acquire a comfortable house, and a solid life style, and I have met very good people here. I am going to, at this moment, open m laptop and write a couple of reports that I have been putting off. Why? Because I am thankful for my job, and it deserves my best effort.

As far as supplements for the gym you really don't need anything besides maybe some whey protein isolate powder and some basic creatine monohydrate. Real foods will always be the best source of protein and everything that you need, stuff like whey protein isolate only is necessary if you are having trouble getting enough protein or if you are on the go or something like that. You only need at most about 1 gram of protein per day per pound of your body weight for muscular growth, which really isn't too much unless you are a particularly big guy.
