    What details have you found in Starfield? What's with the hidden Cydonia Snow Globe? Have you found my Nirnroot out there? Who lost their thermos? What manner of unspeakable eldritch horror did we find at the Boneyard?

      In Accessiblity menu there is option 'toggle ironsights'. This as option suggests will make right mouse button toggle ironsights on and off instead of having to hold RMB all the time.
      However this also works on your cutter. So with this option turned on you can right click once and your cutter will lock in high output mode. So you won't need to focus it again until you switch a weapon. Saves a lot of time when running around and mining.

    Snow Globe update - it appears you need to read the plaque on the State of the Face On Mars in the city of Cydonia for the Snow Globe to spawn. It seems like this is meant to give you an activity / quest marker for it but it’s bugged, so you just gotta find it the old fashioned way.

      What I found cool is when he showed the snow globe then superimposed the Cairo one w/the pyramids in it. Why? Because in actuality there are ancient pyramid ruins near the face in mars cydonia region. They've been airbrushed out by "the powers that be" but they're real. There's a book written by Dr. John Brandenburg titled "Death on Mars" which has all this info about it. Interestingly members of NASA reached out to him about it too.

    My best guess for the lost thermos is that it was an accidental duplication from the side quest on Paradiso. There's a quest there that asks you to find several lost items, and one of them is a thermos over by the landing pad. This is the real Bethesda curse. I have a serious problem with collecting food in this game.
      I was collecting tin cans before Fallout 4 gave them a use...
      In Oblivion, despite having no alchemy characters, I still collect food. Like I do in Starfield. Skyrim has a little bit of use for food, but not much unless you have survival on, or Frostfall installed. In Morrowind I collect alcohol for some reason lol. In Daggefall I collect clothes... (Oh I do this in Starfield too).

    Quick contraband tip, if you have contraband and jump to a system that begins scanning you, you’ll get that prompt that says you have contraband. DONT WAIT FOR THEM TO FINISH THE SCAN. Instead, immediately pull up your star map, and jump to The Den in the Wolf system. If your ship completes the jump before the scan finishes, you’re safe and can continue to the den to sell the contraband, then return to the system that was scanning you. Now you won’t get arrested and have those items taken from you, and there is no penalty. Cheers

    • @ErzengelDesLichtes
      @ErzengelDesLichtes Год назад +12

      If you try to land at the NASA Launch site, you’ll get a landing site next to Cydonia. During the scan, you can’t land at Cydonia itself, but you CAN land at landing sites. You can dodge the scan and just walk into Cydonia with your contraband. That’s what I used before I found the Den or the Key.

    • @Draliseth
      @Draliseth Год назад +6

      @@Camelworks I love cosmic horror as well, but I think an important aspect you didn't mention is the insignificance of humanity. Cosmic horror makes us feel small, the old gods don't really care about us any more than we'd care about an ant. Maybe they'd find us curious, a novelty, maybe they'll ignore us, or maybe they'll just squash us just because they can, and there's not a thing any of us could do about it. Space is vast and unending in a way or minds can't really comprehend, and in the grand scheme of things a human being is nothing more than a momentary speck of dust in an uncaring universe

      We absolutely need a Lovecraftian DLC. Bethesda are clearly fans of the genre and they like to theme entire DLCs based around Lovecraft. Point Lookout and Dragonborn for example. Far Harbor could be thrown in there as well. Let's hope their streak of Lovecraftian DLC continues with Starfield.

    But also, I've found it on a different planet as well. I don't recall which one, but I do know I haven't been to the planet in this video in my playthrough yet. Very cool feature that hopefully will have a part in some future content. Much like Herma Mora's realm in Skyrim's DLC. The stone makes the same wood sound the bones do when struck with a blade. There is also a (nest, arrangment?) With the same biomechanical bones on top of one of the arches. Location: Linnaeus System, Linnaeus II - Natural Archways, Frozen Mountains biome. (Compass marker is "Natural").
    Edit: Found a Xeno Grub wandering the site.
    Edit: from afar the site looks like the planets surface was pushed up/out. There is also a large (too large to be for humans) stone (table, alter?) With two peices(mineral) of silver on it.

    To be honest, the Boneyard is something that I've ran across different planets but it is a rare thing to spot, I think I've spot such thing once or twice and I've landed on 66 planets. The thing that the Boneyard thing reminds me is of those allien creatures that attacked NYC in the Avengers first film. They seem exactly the same as the one above, only the ones that we see as the boneyard seems to be more of a bones and flesh that disintegrated. However, I am very curious about the shadow near it, it could be a ship that has landed there and it is invisible or it could be simple visual bug, related to the visual shadows.
