The Rubik's cube giant transformer ship was hilarious and more so because our fan films in the 80s had such a ship, predating the Borg appearing by a full two years. Heh. I take it also the demigod is a Sillian and too, and the cubes and orbs are from various nods to other rpgs.
It was a decent episode. In the bottom 10 for me. Still fun. Edit: I have to wonder if they are going to live action most of the crew for the last episode. Just wondering.
I binge watched 1 through 6 yesterday (Sunday) and thus far I am "Whelmed", not overwhelmed nor underwhelmed, just middle of the road. Hopefully they up the ante next episode.
at SDCC Mike was asked about Section 31 Boimler and implied they're not allowed to use Section 31 because of the movie, Paramount has done stuff like that before like not allowing certain VOY characters to be used in PIC
If we had 22 episodes a season this would have been a great episode, but unfortunately we don't get that these days so it just felt a little flat. Personally I would have cut the Dr and Boimler storyline to make more time for the rest of it.
Ha, would a cat have social structure? They tend to be antisocial unless they want your attention, If they do, they demand it at once. Ha :) If they do not, they are going to trot off and hide somewhere ticking at birds in a window.
While there has been great episodes in Lower Decks ...it's episodes like this that won't make me miss it. Really obvious jokes and plot twists. Starfleet officers acting so extreme (you literally have an officer violently assault another) that it doesn't feel like Star Trek...this was a fart. How would that demigod officer even have passed the academy? Goes too far
You guys could always re-watch the Discovery ep with the TARDIS scale turbolift spaces before a Lower Decks ep. That should re-set the expectations.
I think Olly might be handy in dealing with the rifts that might be the season arc problem

Hope they come back in live action lol
„Generic TNG episode“ is actually a high praise 🙂

They should continue LD in a feature film.

Meaning Jack Quad in the Section 31 movie 🤔
The Demi God will def have something to do with solving the rift anomalies in the end

Made me want to watch that cheesy cartoon adaptation, Rubik and his amazing Cube again.
Romeo and Juliet meet War of the Roses.

Cats have rich social lives, there are scientific studies about this
"Irregular polygons" some animation jabs to 3d cgi animators. Ha! LOL.
