This film is it! One of my favourite psychological horror/thriller movies I have seen in my whole life. I love how Mike is slowly falling into insanity and the fact that the room is basically a living being with its own intelligence and will to torture people. I also love the fact that Cusack mostly acts alone or is just interacting with ghostly projections.
Thanks for covering this movie. It terrifies me so deeply, but I watch it at least once a year because it is just soooooooooo damned GOOD!!! And your review takes so much of what makes the movie good into account!!
Fun fact. This movie has 3 endings...yes 3... 1: Mike dies in the room 2: Mike gets saved and lives 3: Mike dies and while leaving the funeral Samuel L Jackson’s character sees Mike in his back seat of his car from his rear view mirror
Daddy knows a Good Taxidermist/It's a big farm, where you can run all day: Oh right that's dogs/I Need Some GLUE! Just 3 of the lines that make me LOVE your reviews & had me falling out of my chair! I Loved 1408 but could only watch twice; 2nd time with Audio Commentary: It had to be FULL daylight, Blinds UP & ALL lights ON! Plus, ANY movie that makes you terrified of a Carpenter's song? It's doing Something Right!
Eye-poppie = Aye pappie Nice one. This movie terrified me wen i watched it a few years back and though i loved it I dont have the stomach to watch it again. Great review bee.
Also original pet sematery was an awesome movie that definitely creeped me out when I first watched it when I was like 6 lol. Anyone remember Zelda??? She haunted my dreams for awhile back then
Anyone see dreamcatcher? That was an actual good one.. stand by me of course… I don’t know if you can count the shining because Kubrick took so many liberties and changed the story drastically… but I totally agree!
The movie itself stayed engrossing because of him that's a fact, but I've gotta say that ending with the eye and recording is still the creepiest part.. until then we always have that change it's so been in his head and he's just been going crazy. I think this is one of the few movies that giving a straight, it did it didn't happen, actually works. even if just for that stomach drop ending.
"he has a close call and almost turns this into a short film." The WHEEZE what I let out! 😆😆😆 I love your videos so much. Your sense of humor cracks me up so much. Keep doing what you do! ♥
This movie reminds me of what it would be like if the Overlook Hotel from The Shining was confined to just one room. And if you add up 1408 it will equal 13.
to me it is a psychological sond into the mind of a burnt out man - heartbreaking and genial ... the scenes with his father and his daugter are much more traumatizing than the stranger in the window or ghosts who jump out of the window
This is one of my favorite movies. To me there's not even really a lot of scary things in the movie but this movie fills me with so much fright when I watch it. The whole while I'm watching it I'm uncomfortable and afraid.
I recently watched this movie for the first time, it's as good as theNewBee says it is, his "Aye papi", "Sixty o'clock" and the "Die Hard" reference are priceless😂 Another video I'm sharing with Facebook and Twitter😉
I really liked this movie. I’ve read reviews where people say that the movies made from Stephen Kings novels are duds. Myself, I really enjoyed most of them. “It”, “The Stand”, “The Shining” (2nd one), “Rose Red”, not sure what the title was, but it was a storm on an island and the devil in disguise picks one of the children. Let me know if anyone knows the name. yes I’m done, but I do enjoy the movies.
Love John Cusack...(Better off Dead...fave part? Where he's working at the fast food joint wearing that ridiculous pig hat and Van Halen' s Everybody Wants Some is just blaring
Have you ever seen "o brother where art thou"? And if so, could we see a movie review? It may not be horror but it would be nice to see. Thank you for everything
"Aye Pappi" [eye poppy] is also a line from a Halloween episode of SNL featuring Tom Hanks as David S. Pumpkins and two beat boy skeletons, characters in a haunted elevator ride '100 Floors of Frights.' ruclips.net/video/rS00xWnqwvI/видео.html "Any questions?!!"
I’ve been waiting for this one, thank you newbee 💘 this one scared me big time when I first watched it. I was confused and didn’t understand what I was watching I was like in 5th grade when it came out. Side note my dad got me that carpenters record and one of those alarm clocks after we watched together
Following in the Stephen King wheelhouse, would you kindly review Dreamcatcher? I watched it a few times when it came out, and I'm still not really all that sure what the fuck was going on. I think it'd be perfect to riff on!
I guess time loops is what it's all about this time of year We got two new games revolving around time looping We got 12 minutes death loop life is strange It's all about time loops
can someone please explain to me what "riffed" review means? i'm not a native speaker and i can't find any fitting translation (other than being riffed means getting fired)
It basically means he's making jokes about the movie as he reviews it. Most of the time this is done to movies the reviewer doesn't like, but this guy is one of few who also riff on movies they like.
"Nothing in there but a lion and a witch!" Okay, now I'm ready to be a ghost!
"Daddy knows a good taxidermist."
Oh my god... 🤣🤣🤣
"When that key broke off into the lock, I expected that key to go shooting back out."

'daddy knows a nice taxidermist.'
Nice one
My favorite Stephan King adaptation. John Cusack is a gem in everything he's in. Can you review his movie, Identity? Great job as always, New Bee! 😄
This movie and Identity are so good.
"He does his research on Bing" 🤣 I live for these comments, NewBee!
I never thought 1408 and Parent Trap would exist in the same reference, but here we are.
Thanks for covering this movie. It terrifies me so deeply, but I watch it at least once a year because it is just soooooooooo damned GOOD!!! And your review takes so much of what makes the movie good into account!!
@7:49 potato Jesus 😂 I forgot about that! Hilarious!
".. and one by snooze snooze.." 😂

2: Mike gets saved and lives
3: Mike dies and while leaving the funeral Samuel L Jackson’s character sees Mike in his back seat of his car from his rear view mirror
This is literally one of my favorite psychological horror movies
That Scrooged reference. Lol
"And one by snooze?" I couldn't make out what you said at 2:03
“Aye, Papi/ Eye-Poppy” lol.
“Daddy knows a great taxidermist.” Ouch.
Daddy knows a Good Taxidermist/It's a big farm, where you can run all day: Oh right that's dogs/I Need Some GLUE!

I dont have the stomach to watch it again.
Great review bee.
Him- "I want to book 1408, please"
Her- "No."
Him"...ok, now I NEED to."
Haha
That is a good Ghost Story movie, John Cusack and Samual L. (MF) Jackson are very good in character. Great review Bee Man, you rock.
There are some terrible Stephen King adaptations and there are some amazing ones. 1408, Gerald's Game and Misery are just a few of my favorites 😁
Agree'd
Also original pet sematery was an awesome movie that definitely creeped me out when I first watched it when I was like 6 lol. Anyone remember Zelda??? She haunted my dreams for awhile back then
@@tomdesposito5729 Oh God! Zelda was the creepiest!!!!
Anyone see dreamcatcher? That was an actual good one.. stand by me of course… I don’t know if you can count the shining because Kubrick took so many liberties and changed the story drastically… but I totally agree!
Misery haunts me to this day!
NewBee: you are a national treasure. Truly the embodiment of all that is good in our world and super funny to boot. All the best.
To take out the bed, you first need to get inside the room
this is my favorite Stephen King adaptation
This shows how deep horror movies can be. You should do more scary movies reviews in the spooky season.
One of my favorite horror movies. Just all around great.
The movie itself stayed engrossing because of him that's a fact, but I've gotta say that ending with the eye and recording is still the creepiest part.. until then we always have that change it's so been in his head and he's just been going crazy. The digits add up to 13 and it is on the 13th floor (since some hotels go from 12 to 14, 14 is actually the 13th)
I love your humour but also really appreciate your analysis of the movie 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 review
1408 is the greatest Stephen King movie since Pet Sematary.
One of the best King adaptations.
to me it is a psychological sond into the mind of a burnt out man - heartbreaking and genial ... the scenes with his father and his daugter are much more traumatizing than the stranger in the window or ghosts who jump out of the window
OMG THE CLIP FROM BETTER OFF DEAD 🤣🤣
If there was EVER an actor that's been denied an Oscar it's John Cusack he does hit or miss films but when he hits it's a home run
Ayy Papi (eye poppy) 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Guys the full film is on YT!!!
This is one of my favorite movies. To me there's not even really a lot of scary things in the movie but this movie fills me with so much fright when I watch it. The whole while I'm watching it I'm uncomfortable and afraid.
John Cusack is my favorite actor and this is one of my favorite movies. Very cool!
Better Off Dead is so awesome!! I have never seen 1408 but I need to watch it
Love this film, hell yeah.
I love your reviews. You deserve a Show. Mainstream shit.
As you are I was.... as I am... so SHALL YOU BE....... 😈😈😈😈
I recently watched this movie for the first time, it's as good as theNewBee says it is, his "Aye papi", "Sixty o'clock" and the "Die Hard" reference are priceless😂 Another video I'm sharing with Facebook and Twitter😉
Glad you posted another review. You crack me up bro
I’d rather be “better off dead” than stop there 🤦♂️😆
1408 is already a Great movie, but your reviews just make it 1000x better! Thanks for all that you do!💪❤
One of my favorite movies! I rewatch once a year. I've read somewhere that there's a third ending, but I'm not too sure if that's true. Great work!
Im David Pumpkins, man! I get it. Eye poppy
Poppy was really strange
Another Better Off Dead reference to make my day! Cusack is such a great actor, he brings a likeability to every character he plays.
This film is definitely missing some Goose/Flerken energy
I only saw the alternate ending when I watched this from Blockbuster back in the day. Up until now I thought that was the only ending.
1408 is in my top 20 horror movies because it not over produced crap.
Thank you for reviewing the original theatrical cut!
I really liked this movie. I’ve read reviews where people say that the movies made from Stephen Kings novels are duds. I appreciate this review. 1408 is one of my favourite horror movies
such a beautiful movie that gives a amazing story but a sad movie
I absolutely love this movie! So glad you covered it!
My favorite scary movie of all time
Aye way papi mi Amor es grande panocha. Where is old bobcat these days? I can't think of anything he was in that was bad. Thanks for the videos duder.
Love John Cusack...(Better off Dead...fave part? Where he's working at the fast food joint wearing that ridiculous pig hat and Van Halen' s Everybody Wants Some is just blaring

What a movie!
Omg that Good Eats fridge reference made me laugh so hard! Such a quick but great joke lol.
this is the third movie review i’ve watched on this one movie and this is my favorite
love you dude

I love this movie. Great review. I am newer to your channel and I love it. Very entertaining and you are hysterical. 👍🙂

Always love your reviews!
As always, a pleasure to watch your review 👌
Following in the Stephen King wheelhouse, would you kindly review Dreamcatcher? I watched it a few times when it came out, and I'm still not really all that sure what the fuck was going on. I think it'd be perfect to riff on!
Hey! That was not the version I watched!
I watched this movie in class I wish I could tell you why but it was amazing
I loved this one when I came out. I actually watched it again the other day
Yeah baby another beautiful review from the new bee!!!!!
I guess time loops is what it's all about this time of year We got two new games revolving around time looping We got 12 minutes death loop life is strange It's all about time loops
Yay so glad you did this one :)
great review for one of my faves movies!
Hilarious 😆
John Cusack can last all night
EYE POPPY!!!!
Always thought that hammer killer guy looked like the ripper from last action hero
Just the fact that so many great video essays have been made regarding this movie speaks volumes.
This is a movie about mike showing his acting skill
..."Maybe you're the problem?"...😂
one death by snusnu …must’ve been zapp ..
I’m surprised that I’ve never watched this…looks like another one to add to my list :)
