My son was shy too and tended to stutter so I encouraged him to take drama in grade nine..that was it..he stayed in acting for years to come and stuttering was gone after the first year..soon he had alot of friends..so it works for some..but even if not just have fun with it
His voice is starting to round itself off Elvis isn't there but the strain it took on his voice has started to even out in conjunction with him just being older. He sounds great.
Poor guy losing his mom at age 23 (same age as Elvis gave him a bond knowing Elvis was going through what he went through at the same age). Something that was so tough for him to deal with helped him in getting the part of a lifetime later in life. Perhaps it was his mom’s spirit after all that night he dreamed of her and sent that video to Baz.
Yes so crazy right ? It's like his mom knew that was a huge role and sent him a sign, a guidance to help him achieve this moment. It's so sad she's not there to see him where he is now. But I'm sure her spirit is with him everyday and protecting him.

I didn't know that he lost his mom so young. All the lunches with her are more precious knowing that. I've lost my dad, mom, and sister, who was also my best friend. My older brother and I are the only ones left of our nuclear family. My parents lived until their 90's (although it still crushed me when they passed), but my sister died way too soon. One never really gets over a loss like that.

But then my brother died at a young age & she was never the same. She moved on, but was never quite the same. Losing Lisa Marie was so, so sad and such a shock. I know death is a part of life but it’s still so rough going through it. I have a sister left too. My husband and son are still with me & I’m so lucky for that. I do get up every day though and thank God for a good day & make sure I always tell people I love them saying good bye. I’ll bet Austin was so glad at the Golden Globe Awards that he told Lisa Marie & Priscilla he loved them forever. For 2 days later he was crushed hearing about Lisa Marie’s death. They had developed such a special bond after the movie. She, still missing her son. He still missing his mom. I thought, how perfect that perhaps they can help each other heal. Many introverts are actors because it gives them a mask to be whoever they want to be. He can do every bold thing he would never be able to do in real life and blame it on the character. Introverts usually have a very rich inner life…they just rarely get the chance to show it. A character allows them to show a glimpse of this inner life. Drama class in high school was an amazing outlet. I was usually very quiet. So when I was the most bold and loud in classes, people were shocked.
Aw he still is shy a bit. I can see in him the child he was sometimes. Acting really brings out his extrovert side. It's crazy how introversion works. For me it's drawing or singing that makes me get out of my shell.
