Lovely song. This is my parish; we moved out here in 1959. Right now, a group from OLS is in Isreal. God bless them and keep them safe while there and a safe journey back home.

My home parish where I received my early sacraments, sang in the Folk Group, went to every teenage dance and Carnival; and held my dad’s memorial Mass after he passed.

I used to go to this church with my grandparents every day, except Sunday’s and holidays, when I was a kid in the 80’s. We moved to Maine in 1986. My grandmother and grandfather have passed away. I’m 43 now. I come back every year on my grandmothers birthday, (may 3) which coincidentally happens to be same date (not the year) the first mass was celebrated in the old church that is now a gymnasium) and light a candle for each of my grandparents and attend a mass if possible. I also took some grass, dirt and rocks from the lawn and put it inside a tiny glass bottle and put a cross sticker on it and made a necklace. Does anyone have any pictures of video footage of the inside of the second church? I would love to see it again. I miss going there with my grandparents so much. I was very sad when I found out they had made a new church. 😥
