the little piano in casablanca was a kolher and campbell
Thank you for sharing the history , I live about 15 minutes from the old factory in Granite Falls , my dad was working for them the day President Kennedy was shot . He wrote on some cards that Kennedy was shot today and stapled them in some of the pianos .
Hey Joey, I used to work at a piano / organ store in Charleston SC in the '70s. K&C was our lead piano brand. I made several trips to Granite Falls in a pickup truck pulling a huge U-Haul, returning with 6 or 7 consoles. I really enjoyed the trip - it was an easy drive up and a slower, more careful return.
So what happened to that big ole factory building? I'm super curious!
@@WillBravoNotEvil the factory is still there but pretty much empty , the water tower still has K&C on it .
@@joeyannas7828 Thanks!
Thanks for sharing the Kohler and Campbell story. Nice playing Patrick!
I have had my Kohler and Campbell (Waldorf) for 53 years. It needs some refurbishing and I can't afford to have it done so I was forced to find something else in my price range. My piano still sounds good even though the hammers are very worn and a few other problems. I love a Kohler and Campbell for their mellow and smooth sound. I need to find a home for it with someone who can have the needed repairs done. I love the story of the Kohler and Campbell piano.
Great K&C info indeed. BTW, what is the name of the intro music you play, pls? Thanks!
