- I tried a challenge where I could only hold one county for the entirety of the game. Was I able to survive and unite Poland under one main power? You'll have to watch to find out 👀

I was worried you weren’t going to play as the lunatic character. Glass monument is a huge buff to your capital. Great video!
Well it seems to be good for vegetables...
@@Kai_Squared It's a greenhouse.
@@justinbell7309 it’s a glass house
how the hell... i grab lunatic as often as i can, and i never get the decision available. pretty sure there's a specific lunatic event to trigger to be able to get it, but idunno, is there a way to trigger it?
Thank You very much Zieley! I feel honored ☺️
You've made me smile 😁
Best wishes from Cracow!
PS. It would have been great to see the development at the end of the video ;)
Is "crawcow" how they spell it in poland or is that a mistake
@@pcu9284 it's Kraków with this Polish letter "ó" that You read the same as the regular "u" in English
No problem man! I'm happy you liked it. Just reopened the game to check and we had 29 development in the capital! Rome was at 35
@@michawiktor9592 No no kolego. Dales rade!

I am currently playing through as an Indian ruler. I'm four generations in and I had groomed and tailored a fantastic daughter as my heir. She had genius AND fecund traits. I'd even already reformed my faith to be able to have women inherit, serve as councilors and fight as knights. Plus the inheritable head of faith for extra money. All she had to do was behave herself and wait for her dad to die.
And then, literally a month after she turned 16, I get a pop up declaring that her secret has been exposed and that she and her brother were caught as lovers.
So I throw them both in prison just to sort of chill out and consider how to proceed. A few months pass, and I get a notification that my son (the one sleeping with his sister) had died in my dungeon. I was like "Wow, that was fast!" as he wasn't that old or infirm. I got worried my daughter might die as well, so I released her. I figured now that her brother/lover had died, maybe things will smooth out.
Couple years pass and the daughter inherits the throne. As I was browsing her stats and such, I happened to notice she had a kill counter and that got me curious because she wasn't a soldier and she was only 19 years old when I took control of her to play as. When I hover over the kills icon, it tells me she killed her brother whom she was banging whilst they were in prison together! All I could think of was "This feels like a plot from Game of Thrones." The weirdest part was that she had no traits or anything that would hint that she might be that crazy. She wasn't insane, or lustful or deceitful or anything like that.
Of course, not long after she took control, many of my vassals rose up in rebellion because everyone knew she was incestuous (coupled with short reign and some vassals having opposing traits). This resulted in a massive rebellion that I eventually put down. But I lost a good chuck of my domain doing it.
So yeah... that's my current story of how crazy this game can be.
This is why we love this game
post your gameplay my guy
She took her brother being into choking a bit to seriously
My favourite character that I got to play as was my child who had gotten leprosy when he was a child, I gave him an intrigue education and at some point when I finnally started playing as him he became disfigured. My plan was to go down the seduction tree and bump up his fertility (I think he had one or two kids, can't remember) but I also managed to seduce and kill a lot of people as that character. I liked him because he was a sexy leper. Lol
@Seraph Neo Restarting is always an option. Wow that got ugly fast
“Only one county.”
*forgets to grant the one extra county up north to someone*
🤬🤬🤬
The reason your second heir got two kingdoms was that you conquored Galicia-Volhynia before you died, so that you held in total four kingdoms, instead of three, so instead of your main heir keeping two of the kingdoms and the second one, they both got two each, because of confederate partition.
What a gigachad queen. Gets captured, tortured, becomes a paranoid anxious lunatic, STILL manages to capture the throne of her liege before she dies at 52.
The Isle of Man can be a fun 1 county challenge.
You can get a kingdom title, you can raid everyone, you can make a massively developed piece of territory.
Spiff? :D
@@thomaswheez I didn’t watch that video.
I just found out that on my own.
Great video & incredible editing, easily one of the highest quality CK3 channels... Keep it up!
Cheers man! Im happy you enjoyed it
the title is literally a lie...
One County Challenge...Immediately takes an entire kingdom. I misunderstood this playthrough, thought you were going to play with just one county for the entire game.
Same, thought the plan was going to be to keep the king title but give all the vassals independence
claim a kingdom. Vassalize yourself to an empire with an hostile faith and religion excemption. Profit with your one county kingdom @@danielisepic8577
Your ck3 playthroughs are the best on YT
😳
@@Zieley Can you do a video on trying to rule the entire world
Thank you so much for not using the character creator to make a feudal ruler. This makes the video so much more interesting !
Loved the discord sound at 3:31 by the way xD.
I don't belive you can. Goverment type is determed by your holding/title, which you can't change. Unless you meant make a Polish character somewhere else on the map that's already fedual.
10 peasants on a mountain vs 1M knights
The game calculating the battle: So, it is an even battle
CK3 Content is so underrated and addictive. I often find myself watching when I can't play CK3 lol top tier channel. I know these videos take forever to make.
Thanks James! you a real one
You could made a whole series of this Only Holding one County theme and start somewhere else on the map, India or the middle east region should be fun if you're willing to try 😆
Hold Baghdad and united the middle east
A good game idea, is you randomize your skill selection, (like the martial tree) and the events you pick by a dice roll
I love your videos Mr. Zieley!
Thanks man!
I did this "challenge" without realising it. In an old patch it was possible to build around 5 castles in the county zachlumia. I mostly did it so that I didn't have to worry about gavelkind succession as much. There was some funny business happening where if I only had one county, the de jure duke title, the de jure kingdom title, and the dejure empire title later, then the extra heirs couldn't inherit anything if I remember correctly. It was actually really stable, because I only gave family members without claims on the kingdom title dukedoms.
I used to grant whole duchies to vassels thinking they'd grant out counties and such but instead they just hold everything. I don't even think the computer gets a penalty. I've seen them hold like 3 full duchies. Like more than 12 counties without granting anything out
Yeah, don't do that. They can easily hold 3 duchies because they don't care if their few vassals are unhappy.
You should only give single counties to people, always to different people as well if possible. When you reach the vassal limit, that's when you start dividing things by duchies.
You gotta keep your vassals as weak as possible.
@@TheDanorte - I just grant duchies to my sons...
@@Max_Griswald Not a bad strategy but risky. For a couple reasons:
1) Giving land to your sons, makes them your vassals. They leave your court, so now they can get injured or decide things by themselves.
2) Granting land to your sons makes it more expensive to disinherit them. Which is something needed so your land isn't partitioned between your children when you die.
I like giving titles to sons, but only when I a close to death, and after disinheriting them. My heir gets nothing until I die, so I can fully control their life, so nothing goes wrong.
@@TheDanorte - Ahh, I've played like 800 hours and never disinherited anyone...
@@TheDanorte play for renown, embrace partition
Also, this challenge makes it easier to manage heirs but makes it more challenging to manage vassals and foreign kingdoms. Which forces you to play as smart as possible and in a constant vulnerable state.
I love your content, I’ve recently found you out and you are one of my favourite youtubers all that I wish is that you uploaded more vids, b/c I would genuinely watch an unedited 8h session of you doing this stuff.😀
Not sure if it was your channel or if you participated or maybe you might want to give this a try.
A few months ago i stumbled on a video where various people, i think they might have been ck3 players would play their ruler. When their ruler died the next person would play as their heir.
For some reason i cant find this video anywhere but remember really enjoying it.
Learned so much here than all other tutorials out there. This is also my favorite way to play, unfortunately I suck on managing successors. Everytime my 1st character dies, my heir always have bad stats, can't control the whole realm that I got and and can't stop the factions that are coming.
Have their guardian be someone that is genius
A good rule is to always educate your player heir yourself. Because then you can influence the traits they get. I usually educate my first and second born son personally. And then after they grow up I will educate my grandchildren. That way the line of succession remains pretty strong. Doesn't always work sometimes you have no choice but to take a bad trait because of stress but it gives you significantly more control over what happens when your character dies.
Hello. This is the first video I see from you and I loved it. You did it for a subscriber and I think that shows the love you have for them. I will like and subscribe because that attitude deserves recognition. Plus your CK3 content is one of the best Ive seen, but I should add that it is hard to make bad content for such a good game. And I loved the lesser Poland joke.
Starts a quadruple war. Wins 5 wars. What a chad.
Snuck another one in there 👀
I’ve been sick all week and have been missing playing like crazy. I’m a pretty weird guy and other than the tutorial (and a half playthrough with my wife as Norway) I’ve only ever played the same county, the Mormaer of Buchan in Fife Scotland. He’s 15, no heir, no family. No nothin. Sweet little Buckbuck I call him. I suck so much, probably cause I start where I do but I love this game so much and I’m happy I found you. Thanks for keeping me entertained and distracted while I’m not feeling great.
Seriously such an under appreciated channel! I'd love to see a 1066 finland playthrough in the future if that interests you.
challenges like this really new players understand county management, huge.
"Hello There" "That's pretty good" 0:00
Highly underrated channel. Good video
Imagine reading through the history books to just see a king declare several wars at once mostly to just flex military might
Immediately became a recluse after breaking up with his soulmate. 😢
The one county dream. Imagine that county had a holy site building... (Heavy Breathing).
Will you do a game to get the decision Dynasty of many Crowns? I think thats the one where you need to have 10 independant kings that are your dynasty.
Easy, I can usually do that in 3 generations, sometimes 2. Do a lot of holy wars, grant kingdoms to dynasty members and grand independance. Matrilinial marry daughters to 2nd heirs of other kingdoms, kill first heir and other claimants. My favorite is France and conquer Iberia piece by piece. Philipe Capet is such an underrated character.
It's pretty easy to do tribally, just conquer like a mofo then hand out titles and independence.
I like how the border gore gradually developed into the (almost) actual medieval borders of Poland. And using Konni too with Krakow being capital. Turned out fairly historically accurate!
In the mod that adds china I think there’s a county with about 10 holdings (prob Beijing)
i love the story of this crazy girl who got tortured, became countess, built up the armies of the realm because of her past, built a crazy glass statue that she became famous for, decided that she was queen, killed the king by buying off his wife, and then taking the kingdom from a literal child. "the mighty Queen of glass" what a chad
Great vid! I think your inheritance changed when you got that 4th kingdom of Galicia, so each of your 2 sons got 2 kingdoms (instead of your heir getting 2 and the other one getting only the Great Moravia one).
good catch my man
most underrated Ck3 channel. Also can you make Rome as a Byzantine vassal?
The painting intros of this channel give me immense joy
This video packs enough heat to deice my driveway, and trust me, that’s saying something
Ah yes, that time in History were Poland and Greater Poland were at war.
9:50 the more you know, watch lunatics become meta now
Another great video mate! Always love seeing your content. Can't wait for more
Cheers Simon, appreciate ya 👊
Great Video! Polish games are fun because of this high pursuit!
Recommending you doing a Targeryan challenge: Reform a faith that allows you to marry any one and have multiple spouses and goes for the Targeryans ways! hahaha
Relly enjoy your channel!
The memes make all your videos gold.
This is so cool ! Please come up with a part 2 !!!
24:30 actually "Lesser Poland" is correct term, and it also exists today. The capital of it is Cracow :P
Okay. Now do the Roaming Warband challenge:
- Change your capital at least once every lifetime, ideally the moment you conquer a new county.
- Never have multiple counties for more than a few days at a time.
That means the people you grant the titles to always get independence right away, and your bloodline slowly moves across the map ruling different parts of the world, possibly even all of it at once if you only grant the titles to relatives.
You haven't just been holding on to one county. You grabbed a whole Kindom haha
Your videos are amazing man
Oh my god the breakup scene with your sister lololol 20:32
All I can say is... aside from the nerdgasm I got hearing Duel of the Fates...
Well done on making Częstochowa a theocratic barony and Olsztyn a (Castle) Barony - it's highly realistic xD
HOL' UP! You just got Moravia into the Polish borders, and got Greater Poland into the Bohemian borders??... NANI?!
Hahahaha I thought you were going to say “and where we will be playing is …none…of…your…business” 😂😂
You are the best! With all the memes and the fun gameplay, you Sir are absolute!
Loving the audio from Hair Cake in 3:57 xD.
This is the funniest video I’ve seen in a while… really needed to laugh.
This is probably the first modern state Capital in Medieval Europe.
I think my favorite moment of this video was when you were fighting raiders, and there was an SLJ quote immediately followed by Duel Of The Fates. Yeah, I'm a nerd.
I just want to point out the hello there in the crowd talk

I don't know who that lord was who introduced himself, but he is a Bold One
Your videos are so so good. Makes me happy.
Love your stuff man!!!!
Great video! But oh damn, I wanted to see your full family tree at the end xD
The runescape death sound is sending me 😂
Playing tall is so OP, no succession problem and ton of gold. You can actually blob like a boss while playing tall...
29:58 "Maybe in the future we can be friends"
Really well done video! You should do the "Mother of us All" Achievement play though. It always seems like the hardest one to me so it would be cool to see how someone who's as good at the game as you did it!
Mother of us all needs an overhaul reward wise, it gets you a little prestige and a nickname.
Whereas Elevate man and the isles gets like 2 or 3 renown legacies, development boost, nickname and 7500 army for something possible in half a lifetime.
Horse lords rocked until ‘39….
One county nepotism runs are a blast
The easiest way getting a lot of gold is becoming the council administrator by chancing the vassal gang.
You can do it every time and u get a lot oft buffes
holy shit, this Glass Monument is INSANE
I wouldn't mind a 2nd episode of this. I know the snowballing has started, but it's fun to see.
Find your soulmate like the french allied to zieley ❤
For real i love your editing style. I am using your style as Inspiration for my own channel :)
great video looking forward to part 2
babe wake up zieley uploaded
I have tried this many times, always failed because I got bored lol
Your videos are great Zieley, I have 120h+ with ck3 and still learn from you. I have a question.
Which ruler/culture are you most excited to play with when te expansion arrives? Do you plan on doing a playthrough series?
Thanks my man! I haven't thought about what culture yet, but lots of videos planned
Misread the title thought you were gonna annex the whole world and see how long you could hold it
''I held one county all game and.... then I decided to start conquering other land''.
20:20 SWEET HOME
Zieley!!! I love the videos keep it up
My favorite single county kingdom is the Kingdom of the Isles and Mann. You can just raid everyone and they can't touch you lol.
That decision is so OP.
It would be cool if they added that you can get flat out refused if you offer to be a vassal
Step Brothers reference, instant subscribe :D
"We finally died and this is good news..."
You should make a part 2 where you try to take over Europe as 1 county
Great video my friends.
One County: Polish Rhapsody
Sick video man. Can you do one of the steam achievment challenges as a speed run ??
I might have to, lots of comments suggesting it
@@Zieley 🤙or not even a speed run. Just want to see how you would approach some of the harder challenges in the game!
Personally I'd have built up buildings and men at arms while tribal and raided a bit. Getting men at arms for prestige is pretty cheap
haha love seeing Olsztyn that near to Krakow :D
love that seinfield music
Love the video
Great work! Did you continue this save further and try to push the one county limitation as far as it could go?
I thought it would be being one, small county all game and getting r@ped by neighbours but well, that's more interesting.
That could make for a fun video too 🤔 Well, fun to watch, sounds painful to play hahaha
Time to wind down to Zieley and CK3. Thoughts on it coming to console? I have it for PC gamepass but can’t wait to get my friend to try it out on console!
I think its a good idea for all the people without a decent PC. But I cant imagine it will be easy to navigate the interfaces
21:57 said no Polish person ever.
"I held ONE COUNTY all game '
*FALSE ADVERTISING*
You limited yourself to holding one county personally, but you still held a kingdom title, and had multiple vassals.
New challange, single county, no vassals. An Island is ideal for this. The best single county Island is Visby (independent tribe in 867). If you can change its culture from Norse to another culture without any counties you can really take off in terms of inovations and development (having your heir's culture converted, or, a lot easier, using the ruler desginer to start as a non-existant culture (like Norman, Old Saxon, Karelian, etc)). Could still conqure land, and hand it out to your dynasty if you like, maybe make yourself a custom king title (if you hold three duchy titles for long enough, then destroy the duchy titles and grand independence to all the counties).
Personally I made a custom ruler that was Norman and followed Messalianism (Messalianism because I needed something to do, so I started with a pure-blooded ruler qualifying for strenghtning the blood line and I tried to breed super humans). Got all the tribal, and early medival inovations by about 1045. High medival unlocks in 1050.
Really like the channel! Also I don’t have a pc good enough for CK3 is it worth playing CK2?
