Today I'm saving another one of your guys' games! This one came in from a viewer named Mert who said that his game file was UNSAVABLE... But I've never seen a game I couldn't save. Will I be able to do it? You'll have to watch to find out 👀

Pretty sure everyone that plays CK3 is a sci-fi fan . Personally watching Stargate again
So many
"The enemy is at our door and we're outnumbered 5 to 1! What do we do?"
"Quick! Everyone get married!"
"Gather my finest generals!"
"Sire, we have no generals."
"Damn it. Then gather my finest priests and wedding gowns!"
Just like in the ol' D&D. (+2 to AC)
Thats called doing the Habsburg 😂😂
everyone get married, weaponize the prisoners and stop eating fancy food!
I've never understood how op matrilineal marriage could be when first recruiting a court together. Even if you have some old women courtiers who are infertile you can marry them to absolute gigachads and then divorce them or... you know ☠️
Matrilineally marrying courtiers for knights is such a big brain strategy. Just that little tid bit made this video immensely valuable to me. Instant subscribe.
next step is landing them in cities. next step is building cities for landing them :D people love their castles, but that also take domain limit, while cities give the best breeding grounds. you can always revoke and give to new people. in one run I got 19 cities in 7-8 domains, there were some scary good kids coming out. was a lot of micromanagement but my sons had super good wives and in 3-4 gen I could marry them back to main branch without inbreeding. quite early too. in the end I was bored so I made two cities breed ugly people only then I mixed them, was more fun that waging wars :D
@@laszlobandi6456 Yes, I have similar experience.
First playthrough: rectify historical mistakes of your home country
Second playthrough: breed Kwisatz Haderach, form Empire of Men
Third playthrough: city of ugly people!
Yeah I never thought about that either because I'm such a roleplayer, I always try and find good matches for my courtiers instead.
Was using it since game came out xD
Same here! Genius move
It is so satisfying watching rebelling vassals get their titles revoked
More satysfying would be executing them 😂
@@SmallPotato2313 yup

This game is easy whoever save that was is trash
@@STroB keep talking out of your ass lmao
5000 hours? so you've played the tutorial?
Yo this some good shit. I feel like rebellions in a big realm can be manageable - even with atrociously high numbers against you - if you don't let them group up. If they don't group up you can just go around murdering the stacks one by one like you did. Happened with me once but in my case it took a bit of save scumming too.
yes the key is to sway murder or befriend the first leader on the faction section, this will destroy the faction almost instantly
Yes, levies are way weaker than mercs.
Also siege the lands of the faction leader
@Roniixx just adopt islam
This might have been fixed by now, but a year ago men at arms in ck3 used to work like space marines, you can drop them right near the stack with the rebellion leader, if they don't catch him after the fight and he's in another stack just repeat this, won't take more than 4-5 repeats. In ck2 on the other hand retinues have to actually walk, idk why they did implement this ridiculous teleport ability.
And obviously you do this on rebellion day 1, not waiting for them to group.
Best intro ever, well done mate, quality stuff, had good laugh from the start xD
Where was the intro from? I'm curious now to watch the original.
@@annekekramer3835 Star Trek: TNG s04e15
It's a classic 👌
The game is usually quite easy but that one was pretty impressive. You got lucky with the inheritance that got you out of debt, not sure you could have won the war without it.
Anyway nice video, I needed a bit of your calm voice and gameplay
he still could have white peace
It was practically over by the time he got it. Ticking war score would have won before the vassal faction could have taken the capital
The second one would have been harder but he could have disbanded and set martial to levy faster. He could have gotten out of debt in a few months and taken another 6 to build up a cash reserve again then levy them again.
There's a concept of trading space for time. Which is basically let them conquer stuff because you need time to get to your optimum war position and once you do you can win. You just let them take things while you get some precious time.
This is actually what the Brits did with France when Hitler invaded them 😅
@@deusvult6920 what the brit did with France is call being caught by surprise they thought they had time to be the mediator and sell weapon to france in a long war like the first WW

I can't decide which I find more impressive: that Zieley was able to get out of this situation, or the original player got themselves into this situation. When I saw the ruler was married to a 45 y old woman I just knew they were trolling.
He had probably planned on inheriting a different son. The ruler he *was* playing had died suddenly.
he was super shit with 2 bad traits and even sins. I mean, eating is decent stress removal but he will die at 40-50. I had that in hungarian throne, they came with overeating habbits and had to swap for thin wives as those reduced the body size somehow, I guess that's a hidden trait. like people can be big or small without the traits like giant, dwarf or any issues to health. greedy+comfort eater is kind of funny, you spend more on pudding than building a church. and when you become huge, then both options give you stress. especially that a bunch of vassals would invite you to feast and normally that's a good stress reduction and relationship bonus.
don't be so sure. sometimes the game calculates in heritance and other stuff in a realy weird way. i once managed to make hispania the biggest kingdom with the unite the thrones decision and convert it all to adamitism, but for some reason none of my sons were eligible to inherit and the throne went to someone way back in the line of succession who was still catholic, never meant to inherit and married matrilinearly to the queen of france. so i found myself playing a 50 year old dude with tons of kids, none of wich were of my dynastie in control of a realm with completely different culture and religion and absolutely no idea why my original heirs were suddenly cut out from the line of succession
@@tommerker8063eh, it seemed like a super staged set-up...like, he was apparently "struggling" yet had 3k gold? Like come on, usually people in such a bad situation being attacked by so many enemies usually has under a couple hundred gold or even massively in debt. Honestly I think there wasn't any submission and this RUclipsr (yes, already forgot his name because I don't watch the content much) just made his own scenario to "salvage"

That game was really interesting.
Seemed as though the kingdom was well managed, and a couple too many bouts of miss fortune hit at the same time for him to know what to do with.
*misfortune
A good example of not panicking or giving into despair, looking for advantages to play off. Well done dude.
Zieley, you should try playing as Erik the Heathen's one Norse vassal. It's the hardest start in my opinion. I've tried it like 20 times and can't survive it
He already did.
@@n0tice no, he played as Erik the Heathen. The Lord of the guy I'm referring to
I think Erik has a few Norse vassals. Way back I did a playthrough with one of his Norse counts and via intrigue, marrying his daughter I think and killing his sons I slowly overtook Sweden without much of a fight. It was only my second or third playthrough and the first time I played for more than 1 generation (didn't understand inheritance at first). It was difficult for me back then, but more down to inexperience than it actually being that hard.
what about a eunuch start?
It's not even close to the hardest. Use diplo and intrigue instead of slamming your face into a wall
This series has helped me a ton. I'm a perfectly average player that makes a lot of dumb mistakes, it's good to know I'm not alone 🤣
Making stupid mistakes and having to deal with the consequences is a valid playing strategy.
@@darkwitnesslxx And pretty historically accurate to actual inbred rulers of the past so don't feel too bad

I found your channel a few hours ago and spiraled down into disaster save videos. And when I'm out of those videos, you immediately upload a new one. What are the chances
Same, that's not chance, that's the algorithm black magic.
This was, by far, the most educational RUclips video I've watched on CK3. You can watch as many guides as you want and they are very helpful, but I'm someone who needs a short real time playthrough like this as an example on what to do when the shit truly hits the fan. Great content!
Do you publish the "before" saves anywhere? Might be cool for the viewers to give them a shot ourselves =)
He should create a Discord server and have a channel for that.
I've always thought the "save your saves" series was a little too easy, but that was very impressive.
Hey friend, I just thought that you'd be interested in a particularly interesting religion in this game. Donyi-Poloism in the Lhomon area is interesting not for its tenets, but because it has 4 holy sites in 2 adjacent duchies. This is ridiculous. Default holy site buildings are very good by themselves, but the development bonus when stacking four of them in the same area has been insane for my most recent game. Adding the position of court gardener only serves to increase how ridiculous this development gain is. I'd definitely recommend for you to have a game where you build tall in this absolutely broken area.
That’s was actually insane and he made it look effortless.
If this really happened in history, Sabaton would've make a song of this.
This also feels similiar to a certain french king that got help from a certain country girl that has become a saint and a national hero now. From being called "dauphin" to being called "the victorious".
Also this is the reason why I love to screw up my kingdom when playing ck3, the excitement is real. Imagine fighting a battle against your opponent 2x your size and win.
I love these videos. Would you be against setting up really bad scenarios for us viewers to try and fix up? Like some sort of monthly puzzle? Would for sure keep us on our toes!
This was really entertaining to watch despite me not even playing or knowing anything about the game!
That was perhaps the best ever intro to a CK3 video I’ve ever seen. I always get excited when I see a new video from you now and that was gold!
Dude. He took a clip from a show and did some very light editing to it. Calm down
i think i will send in my savefile with my character being a christian (not matrilineal) married woman with no player heir in her forties, 0 intrigue, lovers pox, and she just got butchered by her physician, she lost a leg and has to wear a mask now. by the way the pope hates me because she has 2 sins.
yeah it was the first time i actually got game over in CK3
I discovered your channel quite recently and I bingwatched all of your content in a few days.
To be honest, your videos are the most entertaining ones I have found on Ck3.
Keep it up! ;)
I didnt know this was a thing! I think its pretty cool that you help people out with thought to be lost games. good for the community.
I wonder how much of the faction stuff is exacerbated by the fact that he’s not the rightful liege of any of those places. 😅
U could outsmart the nasa
Had a similar thing happen with my king suddenly dying. But I had the misfortune of all of my heirs except one pissing everyone off. The one good heir almost saved the day but suffered the fate of old age. Idk if I can save that anymore. Bit of an old game
About developing: I bet Italy is the best place to play tall whether it's a kingdom or empire
Rome itself gives you tones of development around, you have a few places for universities and money-making citys like Genua and Cagliari (hope I wrote it right, the one on the south of sardinia), and you also can take the new kingdom of Mediterranean, which gives you huge bonuses for 80 years
I mean that's an awesome place for playing tall
Those are really good points that you used to create your argument. Unfortunately, Bohemia
@@smobasi3367
But trade ports
@@smobasi3367 I dont mind Bohemia, but just for me it's not the first place
@@smobasi3367 you have more development in Italy from start and you still easily can take the mine for money
That's all well and good, but nothings ever gonna beat Sjaeland for deving, you just get soo many coast baronies on a single farmland county, all you have to do is either hybridize with Franks for early tech or diverge culture for crazy research speed. It's devving will spread to Lund, which is also an amazing farmland coastal province with a unique cathedral to be built.
When the other guy declared a Holy War, you could have hired the holy order.
Technically played out perfectly, you see, once again, with enough game experience, you can manage almost everything for this war, a big GG
Me seeing all these dutchies drives me mad. COUNTS ALL THE WAY UNTIL YOU CANNOT HAVE MORE VASSALS!
Great video! One thing though, Cagliari is not "KAG-yari", but "KA-yyari". It's just like saying "paella" in Spanish ;)
Can believe you won that one. Great editing skillz btw :3
Love your videos man! could you restore the roman empire? It is possible and near impossible but after this video, you could do anything

i started a game conquered almost all of africa, had like 10 sons. but the the time i was 70 every last one died and it was a game over. that one stung. i stopped playing after that
I got sweaty watching this
Have u heard of manorlords and will u upload vids of it when it comes out
First of all, very good job Zieley.
I would have done a lot of very similar stuff here, but there is one thing you did, I did not like. I think you should have kept the duchy of Sardinia. Being just one duchy over the limit is just a -25 opinion malus, which is rarely a problem and actually by keeping Cagliari the duke of Sardinia will have -25 opinion of you anyway, because he demands his de jure territory.
So the only difference is the negative opinion on all the other vassals and I think the additional duchy building that you can build then in Cagliari makes up for that.
Otherwise, great video, as always!
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the content. I recently got my tonsils removed and it's been hell. But I've been binge watching your videos since I've been bed ridden. I've learned a lot. So thank you. :)
Lodging standards are actually very useful, because it cancels out the -50 base reluctance when inviting random ppl such as: wandering knights, ppl with ingeritable traits, talented npcs to fill council/court positions.
I use it frequently in tall games, especially since it also boosts artifact qualities.
If youre good at befriending, of youre playing in the iberian struggle, you can also befriend inspired characters to capitalize more on the artifact quality boost, since you being friends also cancels out the "inspired" reluctance when inviting them.
Hello, Legend of Total War here, today we are saving a disaster campaign battle playing as Genoa, YES, YES!!!
Femboy Beta Male Voice........................... No Thanks FemBoy
"Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work. But I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it. I'm swamped."
That's a good example of how wars can be won being underdog. But there's one tip i usually use. For example on 19:00 you could select a commander with organisation trait to come to the enemy's army quicker and gain some advantage caused by starting a battle against a smaller army(timecode may be not the best example of this tip). Also you'll lose less provision, that sometime can be a huge advantage if u r running out of provision. Also you didn't change your lifestyle to get more stats, or maybe it was on cooldown and you didn't show it i dunno.
Well hello gentlemen

7:37 I had never thought of doing this before lol. That's pretty cool, cause whatever's in prison is generally crap anyway.
You are really a fucking monster at that game !!! :) :) Well played :)
Zieley I think you got pranked 1. There is no way to gain the throne in this users court, without using the Debug menu. 2. There is also no way for a player to become the King of Genoa. 3. The barony of Genoa is usually a City and not a castle. Good Video anyways
You can make custom kingdom tho
1) Genoa has been changed to a castle holding now 2) Anyone can create their own kingdom provided they hold three duchies 3) I thought anyone could acquire the throne of Solomon. I think I remember once acquiring it playing in India, though it was no use as I wasn't a Christian, Islam, or Judaic religion.
@@WHY-xd5zk Yes technically you can but I don't know if they did. However that doesn't explain the other things
@@David_Bower I don't think it is possible to obtain the throne whilst playing 876 in northern Italy.

they had 3 years to capture the holy war target without resistance, but they decided to go for everything but that. sometimes ck3 AI just makes me want to cry
Man, this is totally different than ck2. Yesterday I was just playing ck2 and I tried to remake the pecheneg-kievan war and legit sweden, denmark EVEN A SMALL COUNTY just went to war with kievan rus, just because I was beating them up, even tho they had twice more men than me. Meanwhile in here you can buy mercenaries and they don't just disappear if you can't pay them lmao
I just rewatched this for the second time.
It remains, to date, my favorite CK3 video on the internet.
italy is always very high in development, which is why my spymaster is always hanging around there
Is it just me, or does Zieley sound a bit like Donald Trump. The "My brother died, which is nice" and "these vasalls [...] which we now all have in jail which is actually beautiful" gave off strange Donald vibes.
I randomly clicked on this video, not knowing what it's about or what CK3 means. So I find out it stands for Crusader Kings 3, so I continued to watch, cause why not. Then he starts to send out marriage proposals, cool. Oh I got a grandma, she's kinda old but whatever, you go marry. Wait, my wife has bad stats. Can I divorce her? Shit, the pope is against it. Well no problem, let's just go for a murder scheme.
I bought the game.
I remember fighting the fall of the Roman empire in Civ2 and having Armour roll across the planes fighting the Visgoths. Rome didn't fall on my watch.
LOL never played CK3 so I wasn't ready for the "I'll just have my wife killed so I can get a new one" bit.
All I heard was Janeway say, "delete the wife".
I started only listening going "man what a rut to be in." Then I actually looked at the screen....Dude has 3106 gold. Then the negative gold due to court amenities. Probably not the worst case scenario tbh.
I wonder why you didnt get a decent ally when you divorced your wife. I am not sure the +5 martial ability are really war deciding; but since you rule a decently sized kingdom, you could probably find an ally with 4-5k soldiers which would come in really handy, I d assume.

since you are easily the best ck3 player on youtube, id like to see a series where you use the "interesting characters" presented by the game and see just how broken they are
I don't know the game and first time watching 2 of your uploads. So much scheming to death LOL. Good game content, really entertained by it.
Oh! Look at this...it looks like one of my brother just..died...
Which is awesome 😂👍💀💀💀
finally someone who knows the strategy of marrying female courtiers for other good courtiers, i've been doing it since i started playing ck3 (which was around 2 years ago when the game got released), it is so good, you can even snatch "the campeador" from king sancho in the 1066 start by using this strat
this is extremely cool.....still can't understand this game for the life of me though(although i've only played ck2 not 3)
Well in my case i had the same problem 4k vs 24k Chivalry skill, and other things that made my champions 600% effectiveness wass all i need to destroy armys 2K of men at armas with that effectiveness full of champions destroy easy a 10k army
This was insane. Learned so much about the game from watching your videos
Hey! Nice vid! Just a small thing, when clicking the raise (red) flag, you can instandly right click on any county to move the flag there instead of the extra 2 clicks. Maybe im just too lazy,..
Love the video
My biggest tip to bring your dynasty management game to the next level and avoid the primo splits: disinherit the children you don't like. It requires you to be the dynasty head and only costs 150 renown. If you're not dynasty head you can still seduce nearby women, invite them to court and have bastards around until you get one you like enough to legitimize. The latter method will cost you piety for every child and give you traits with minor negatives and also be careful; some religions produce wild oats instead of bastards. A wild oat is eligible for inheritance while a bastard is not.
18:00 was that fixed? last time I played they said it's a bug that you won't ever get commanders. played a long while ago tho.
don't forget the males either. you selected the courtiers, but you can use the search function too. C is the shortcut for the character search, then you can save a filter for 'court+unmarried', also 'court+not your religion' (religion is the cause of most plots). married knights leave a widow behind which can get you a knight, while single knights will leave you with one less courtier. generally you hire everyone you can, above 30 they might leave if they got no position, so the strategy is going for quality instead of quantity. house members get kids with a house, so females with any house are valuable. so the pairs should always be one house member and one lowborn, and matrimonial when the wife has the house. cities are valuable also, italy has this pillar, that some cities become independent, that has to be swapped out. then you can fire barons and replace with an old knight and a younger wife. they should be relatives or friends of yours so you can call them to court when the husband dies, bringing all kids with them. micromanaging barons can give some super good vassals with no inheritance in sight. even if you don't manage it, they will be high up in the marriage list for your vassals and improves overall points.
the strategy with granting duchies should also be focusing on your own dynasty. you get hooks on them each generation and they can come to your wars free of charge. even your sons will be allied with them for at least one more generation. I had a bunch of allied family members outside my kingdom this way up to 30k army which was beating byzantine without me doing any work. aand generally good to give one count to each duke so they got a decent court and some fallback option when they die. you can't help much, they will give those counties to their kids, maybe just choose different age groups so won't happen all at once. if they are your age, their sons will be your sons age. I had 3 subjugation wars incoming for my son when nobody dared to attack my old ruler, and it was mainly because I hurried with distributing lands to random people. other things, like selecting martial based people with zealous trait outside de jour territory or good stewards closer to your domains is more important than just hiring cowards and yes mans.
Guy, it's "Provence", not "Provinence". It's pronounced "Prov-A-nce" Now you know. :)
Wow I'm new to the channel but this is the worst I've ever seen! Holy moly almost everything was stacked against you here, even excommunication coming in as a stick in the wheels. No allies, no children, nothing! It's so bad that it's suspicious, and seems like someone made an unsaveable scenario on purpose.
bro if i could send you my games you'd truly be stumped. i hate to admit it but i suck at CK3. I've played about 100 hrs too since it came out on Xbox Series S/X
I mean 2/10 personal demesne seems like a major glaring issue, why would you ever only maintain 2 personal holdings with a Kingdom this big?
If this would have happened in CK2, you'd be automatically fucked. Nothing to do about it.
Alert: the large kingdom bordering your small county has declared war.
"im never gonna finically recover from this."
I am new to the game and 5:43 blew my mind. Can you actually switch to a court view like that or is it a mod?
