    Can anyone explain why there is no place to sit on the departure level?? We stood in line for 3 hrs today before Euroways cancelled to Frankfurt. 300 ppl with maybe 20 seats in sight.

    There is only one kiosk to buy food items on the departure level. It’s at the north end. Weird.

    I didn't notice any Link shuttles moving. Was it just early for them ?

    Question. I’m a bit confused on what exactly we need to go through during our layover as far as security and customs go. We are flying to Europe from the US (and are US citizens) and have a layover in Calgary. What does the customs process look like (we are checking a bag). And can we expect the same for our flight home (Europe to US with layover in Calgary). Thank you!

      It's no different than a canadian travelling to say Asia with a layover in Europe. You are just in transit, all your bags will go to final destination and you don't have to go through customs unless you want to leave the secure area. If you hold a US passport you will just be asked general questions and have your passport stamped. You can even leave the airport but you just have to go through security again when you come back, mind you, you will likely go through security either way before entering your plane to go to Europe.

    I will be landing at the Calgary Airport from London Ontario as a connection to my Las Vegas flight. Will I have to pass through security after landing in Calgary after already passing through it at the London airport?

    • @OnTimeReports
      @OnTimeReports  Год назад +1

      Yes, because you'll pass through US customs and immigration in Calgary so when you land in LAS, you'll arrive as if you are on a domestic flight.

    Hi, thanks for the video 😁🤗 I have a question for you, if you don’t mind.😁 we have never flown into the Calgary airport before, and we are coming from Ottawa and have an 8 1/2 hr layover before heading to Kona Hawaii..my question is, are we able to access the WestJet lounge and be able to go through customs from there? TIA😁

    • @OnTimeReports
      @OnTimeReports  Год назад +1

      You should be able to use the lounge but you have to use it before going through US customs. So when getting off your flight from YOW, go to the lounge (B gates), exit the terminal, go to the international terminal and proceed to US customs

    The new international terminal is a joke. I came off a plane last year from Vegas & figured there would be a washroom close by. Not so! Had to walk half a mile before I found one. Nearly pissed myself. Piss poor planning.

    Question - if arriving on a flight from the US but we have a layover then an international flight to Europe, do you think we can access the B terminal from the international terminal? (I assume this is where our first flight from the US is landing)
    We are trying to understand if we can get to the WestJet Elevation lounge and back to the international terminal

    • @OnTimeReports
      @OnTimeReports  Год назад

      Yes you'll be able to access the Elevation Lounge after clearing Canadian customs and immigration.

      When you are going to Europe, you’ll have to pass through Canadian immigration and then there should be a elevator where there are staff to redirect you back to the departures level. No additional security check should be required. Coming back you’ll have to go through US pre clearance and also security
