I have never seen such animation. It's like stop-motion but somewhat 2D using different materials with emphasis on the transparent ones. Truly refreshing take on animation!
Ya ur right so coo. But I don't think there is 2d but yes a 2d but the zoom in of the boss mouth is 3d clay witch is stop motion so cool btw and weird cause the animation

@@Discoverwithkate a lot of it is 3D objects layered on top of each other, so it is still kind of 2D, it's like using paperdolls but with resin I'm assuming to look like candy.

What’s it called
It's probably just called "stop motion." There's nowhere near as many works in this style to give it a name, unfortunately.

I like how they made the blue haired girl taste outstanding, to represent she’s a nice person. Meanwhile, they made the pink haired girl taste disgusting to show how rotten she is. Nice work!

This is a completely new style I have never see before, the big animation companys like Disney should creating something new too, they just keep using the old styles, we really need some fresh airs like this short film!

見里監督の作品は社会問題をテーマに内包したものも多いから、これも安易な能力主義によって生まれる足の引っ張り合いを描いた作品なのかもしれない

im pretty sure that they all work in an office and create zips that taste like candy. if they taste good, they keep it. anyways, since the pink hair girl, which ill name Abby, kept stealing the blue hair girls (Octavia) zips, thats why she was so unpopular and people thought she wasnt hardworking. when Abby turned Octavia into a zip, (it was obvious that she hated her), she gave the ants Octavias zip (Candy.zip) but she didnt know that the ants were Octavias friend, so they didnt eat her. the ants came up with a plan, to use the plants as a catapult to throw Octavia into the boss’ mouth, (i assume that if someone eats a zip with a human being in it, they will spit it out), then Octavia told the boss everything about Abby, Octavia turned Abby into a zip and gave it to the ants. I assume that Octavia became the new boss, or something like that, then everyone gave her their zips to check if they taste good or not.
Im pretty sure Abby got fired too.
I think this is pretty much tied up, in one way or another. Considering that the authors are Japanese! They are the masters of poetic, subtle and very, very symbolic storytelling.
Blue is a hard-working woman and I am to believe she is perhaps part of a competitive department of a company, she's a good honest woman who has people under her that she treats well and has check the work before handing it in. Pink is a lovely looking sweet talker who spends all her time manipulating and making herself look good and little time producing good work. She steals others work and presents it as hers and replaces others good work with her terrible work. This places the negativity on good workers which can get them fired, and it's apparent the boss does not like blue. Blue witnesses pink stealing her work but pink essential makes things worse for blue and blue's support team witnesses it and helps her out of the situation and helps her get proof and then changes the situation for the better of everyone but pink who in the end is at the mercy of the support team for blue.
The name of the blue hair is Aoko (青粉)(idk if its japanese I just assume it is since the kanji fits and Aoko means Blue Powder so its pretty funny lol)
Blue girl: hey thats mine!
Pink girl: *staright up butchers her*
For me, the point is that someone can "steal" someone else's work and accordingly devalue the person who really did this work. Something like this happens in life...

All I’m glad is that no one died. Even though the pink haired girl did terrible things, she didn’t deserved to get eaten. (And she didn’t so that’s good.) So I’m happy everyone is happy in the end and no one dies.

I love how the flavours of them actually describe their personality’s like aoko is sweet and nice because that’s how she is in personality wise then zip is sour and horrible to match her personality

I love how the ants make mew sounds like lil baby kittens😭
So from my understanding these Pdf files are made out of candy (or something like that) and when the boss eats/tastes it, it'll basically give the information based on its taste. Now seeing how Aoko was treated, yet she still remained kind and nice despite finding out her colleague was swapping her candy pdf for terrible one's she didn't lose her cool (even if it was only a few seconds). So after she was turned into a candy pdf, the ant tasted it, knew it was her, then decided to help her out by getting her boss to taste the candy pdf of her and realize their mistakes. (This is just my understanding, I dont really know the real meaning of this animation, apart from dont steal from others)
It's about getting feedback from others and letting others see your work before you send it, and letting them support you too when your work is stolen. When they threw her into the boss' mouth, they were metaphorically putting a good word about her to the boss, letting him know that she's good because they've seen her work themselves.

One of my favourite parts was when the ants saved the blue haired from that pink hair and that the blue hair as candy tasted like pure sugar showing she’s a kind person while they made the pink haired taste like garbage that even one died.

POV: you find that one short where that AI guy is talking about something random, and you actually find the video he was talking about.
I’m like really confused of what’s happening
Theory: There was this blue woman who was trying to give her work to her boss but I think that pink bitter lady always keep stealing that hard work of hers and replacing it with a bad work. Whenever the blue lady gives her false work to the boss, he wouldn’t accept it. Later, the she befriended some ants who they find her as a “sweet” person to them. The next time the bitter woman tried to do her things with the blue’s work, she was caught by blue but she then “murders” her with a mixer and placed her in a computer. The ants who witnessed this came to the sweet blue lady for the rescue and tried to get her to the boss and take her work to him in time, which they succeeded and then karma hit the bitter woman which she’s now stuck on the computer and the ants find her as a nasty bitter woman. The end.
I think the ants are supposed to be clients! One comment in japanese mentioned the pun: kurai (black) + anto (ant) -> client

This reminded me of being bullied at a ferm I worked at I was bullied by four grown woman being the youngest there working making just as much... me being stupid and young one of the girls asked how much I made one week and I was honest and so happy to be making anything at the time after that they HATED ME. I was bullied for how I looked what I had to eat for lunch and somthing new everyday ... end up having a mental breakdown and yelling at two of them I quit that day. Aka I ran out as fast as I could when I got my stuff back from my desk things had been stolen from me and broken it’s very hard to talk about... no one even cared or took it seriously it traumatized me In a new way I hadn’t experienced. This brought it all back not sure why I normally push it to the back of my mind but here it is .
