    I was surprised at you quoting the price of the bubble tea because we normally pay around $5, but then I realised you said you ordered it through uber eats so the delivery is half of the cost.

      Yes 🥲🥲 where do you get your $5 bubble tea from? I didn’t use to drive so usually only can Uber eats. But I just got my license so yay!

      @@skyearthyx Its about 5- 6 bucks in most the shops Ive seen in the northern suburbs. Big price difference if you buy it at an upmarket cafe or in the city but plenty of bubble tea shops in the suburbs. Especially in Vic Park. You can get it at that price in Coventry United Nations markets. We go there all the time, prices are cheap. Also, northbridge has a ton of cheap Asian restaurants which sell bubble tea , especially down william street between james and brisbane streets.

    I'm planning to move to perth from SG next year after I finish uni. May I know if you are still on WHV or if you're already on a more permanent visa since WHV only good for 3 years IIRC?

      Hi! My WHV expired, moving on to a different one (: you can always apply for WHV2 if you’ve worked eg retail etc during your first WHV. Do read the guidelines/eligibility on Aus Govt website clearly as you won’t get your application fees back once you’ve applied.

      yes, great shopping there. One advice I would give is to not shop at the major supermarkets but at the Asian stores.

    My advice live in a suburb within 5km from beach, as the sea breeze is a significant cooling breeze in summer. Also its great with the swimming and recreation on the beach and river. Embrace the Australian lifestyle with beach, sport, recreation etc. Shopping isn't a priority here so shops aren't open all the time. River can get a breeze and be cooler. Car actually is important as friends can live a big distance away in low density suburbs with infrequent transport. Certainly some suburbs you can make do without car but you'd be limiting yourself. For example inner city would be more expensive but if you were in safe distance from major transport route (bus station) then you'd be safe going to and from. You could then catch train to beach and walk to river etc... But its not perfect. Other suburbs where you could almost manage without a car, would be more likely expensive. But you need to think. The main transport routes may not be near major shops, or if you're near shops it may be far inland and hot... or away from friends and activities.

      If you can afford the high rental prices, or you might want to move to Geraldton to be close the beach, and live affordably.

      @@paulsz6194 Or "South Geraldton"! that's the nickname for Joondalup. Of course its still 5 hours from Geraldton by car, but the nickname comes from the distance north of Perth (being almost Geraldton) so the joke. Lots of towns south too like Bunbury and Busslton which have sufficient facilities. Bunbury is an hour from Mandurah and less than 2 hours from Perth CBD.

      @@BDub2024 What about Mirabooka , lol . Not close to the beach, but very cheap. 😂

    • @BDub2024
      @BDub2024 7 дней назад

      @@paulsz6194 Mirrabooka has good and bad parts to be honest. Fairly quiet. 11km from beach and less than 15 minutes. Mirrabooka 9km from city with 5 different bus routes into city. I know you're joking. ha ha Interesting that even areas such as Balga (which is north of Reid Hwy) is going ahead quickly. If you're less than 15 minutes from coast and within 10km from city then its always an asset. There are some very run down areas of Girrawheen off the beaten track. But yes pockets of some of Perth may be a surprise. I remember even in Bunbury most of the housing is great. But in some areas you go 500 metres from the main road and things deteriorate surprisingly quickly.

      You can find a migration agent. You might not be too late for a skill set migration.
