Is there some setting to fix it? Thank you. My astra is 1,7 cdti from 2005, elegance with xenon.
Hi, when I have ignition on or when the engine is tunning, if I put light switch on 0 the light are always on. Main beam only turns off when I put light switch on parking lights. I think this is possible to switch off with original diagnostic tool:)
Yes, it can be programmed. The Astra H has different "daylight"-modes. In some countries you have to drive withe the headlights always on, so it can be programmed. My setting here in Germany was "off". So when i turned to zero, it always stayed of. When i turned it to "auto" it was switched on, when it gets dark (had the sensor for lights and wipers). I do not remember all possibilities, but they were "no lights", "only head parking lights with backlights on", "headlight+backlight on", "only headlights on". and another one. Just google that, and i am sure you will find the variations.

My family has this car since 2007. only couple of years ago i found out about the hidden menu and only this year i have found out about the aux port haha i love this car opel astra h 1.4 petrol navy blue color
where is aux port when u cant find it for yoars? i have Astra H and i think it dont have aux port..
@@adnanjusic4890 it's on the right side of the hand brake. I heard not all opel astra models have it. I am not sure but maybe i got the the first model 2007 where they started puting aux that year. Just look at the right side of the break it is very noticeable. Its just a goldish coloured hole
Watch right side of the hand brake and little behind towards the back seats right under the arm wrest when you put it down

I dont know why but my display just says "display safe" as soon as I turn the car on, now and then it decides to work normaly but 90% of the time it says display safe and I cant use it. Do you have any idea of what the problem is?
You forgot to say that if you left "first feature" on then your car radio never goes to sleep, continues to draw significant power an in couple of days your battery is pretty much dead.
This hidden menu could be disabled the same way it is turned on.
Never heard or experienced that. When you turn off and on again, you cant access hidden menu, unless you press the buttons again.
To my experience this problems happend with a faulty radio unit, specifically with the sensor on cd port. Sometimes when you have no cd inside the unit thinks that the cd is on and the car radio never goes to sleep, continues to draw significant power and you run out of battery.
@@Kostas_V Don't know if all astras had that, but mine always turned off the radio and other electrical devices (indoorlights) after 15min to prevent a drained battery.
Do you have any features for the Zafira A (1999-2005) ?
Sorry but I don't know :)
If they're hidden, how do you know about them?
Hey quick question, I'm planning buy this car but the fact that its a coupé concerns me, I'm 193cm tall will I fit in this car? Right now I have a Peugeot 206 XT 5 doors
Hi, if you fitt in 206 than Astra GTC (I think you meant this as coupe) will be better. I am only 180cm but I think there is plenty of space for you...i have my seat around the middle position😊
@@4nzXxD yeah im talking about the astra gtc, so the sporty version, i dont know if your car is the same since its the astra H but i hope you are right the gtc looks very nice
I have a question, please give me some advice. In this video when you switch the ignition on, the exterior light is turning on, too (green mark on the dashboard). My astra does the same, and when the engine is running I can't switch off the exterior light even if I put the light switch to "0", the lights are keep going. My light switch has an "auto" function, but when the ignition is on or the engine is running I can't turn off exterior lights at all, neither with '0', nor with 'auto' mode.
What is the car?
Hi!
Can you tell me please how you made the front dashboard in black colour?
Thank you!
Hi, this is stock if you have Cosmo trim. You can search Opel Astra H Cosmo on google. I think after 2006 Cosmo trim has a black interior😊
Just Turn on night mode
My key fob isn't locking the doors ,I have changed the battery's multiple times and still nothing ,the central locking only locks when I press the central locking button on the inside of the car ,any ideas would be greatly appreciated . Thanks
You need to put the key and turn the ignition, then lock and unlock door with the key button and it will work again
do I always have to repeat this function or once there is no need (coming home active)
You have to do it every time. But just flashing high beam one isn't that difficult to do every time😊
What uasge does coming home provide?
I don't know any situation where that could be helpful
When you come home at dark, your lights help you to see better😊
And it also looks cool😅
@@4nzXxD Well yeah you gotta give it props for the look.
Thanks for the explanation
How to on the air conditioner
Does any of this other than light work for vectra c?
Sorry but I don't know :)
Hi, which petrol engine is the best fot this car?
I think the 1.6 115hp, are good engines :)
Hey
I doubt someone will actually reply, but here we go
What does No. 2 do?
Like, what does it say and how is that what it says usefull to me?
Hi, it helps if you have a problem with your car, it shows a code, which you can look up on the internet and get an idea what is wrong :)
@@4nzXxD ohhh
So for me it was all zeros, so i think there's nothing wrong, right?
@@schmanuell.jackson8194 if you have all zeros, that is good :)

From 1 to 10.. I give this car a solid 3!!
Nice one, good video. I was hoping their was a setting you could turn on for welcome lights. But very good hack.
Thank you very much!
0:21 why at this I only see 0 range tc- inst and every this thing is at 0, how do I activate this? ( testmode bc )
Do you think it can work in opel vectra c 2006? I didnt try to check it + most of videos I watched was about hidden function in astra, couldnt find smth internesting about vectra:D
Yes, Vectra C is the Same.
@@ossy3rd I tried The option with gas and pedal brake and dont work, I have check engine but it lighting bout 1 year and nothing happen with car, engine works good, have his Power. Maybe I need to clear EGR or smth dunno, wanted check it with that trick. Sorry for my bad english btw
@@funkyfella197 works with every Opel Model between 2001 and 2010 with elektronic Gas Pedal.
I have used this often on my Vectra C 1.9CDTI from 2007, and works Well.
But also used opcom (Clone) to erase the Errors after Check with Gas/Brake Trick.
BTW : you need to Push the Pedals all the way down to do the Trick.
Gas is easy, but Brake is Sometimes pretty hard.
Thank you for the answer💪
@@ossy3rd okay, thats explain everything, thank you mate.

i have been driving this car for almost 9 years. and never had any problems. My friends with BMWs and Mercedes had to give up all of them after a maximum of 4 years because the costs of repairs were simply too expensive. I would buy it again anytime
It was my first car, than I had 3 other cars, but I bought it again for daily driving around my town, because it is quite cheap and it should be quite reliable😊
Thank You
Today I learned something new about my astra 😀😀😀
Hidden menu doesn't work for me. I get "No function" screen when I press BC button
Maybe you have a diffrent screen?
open the radio first and then hold the settings button. that's how it works on my opel.
That means that the BC in your car has been disabled in the factory, a Opel contracted dealer should be able to unlock it (or buy a OPCOM off eBay to do it yourself)
the astra h interior design inspired by the Berlin wall.
wow didnt know about the lights
this exists on Astra J?
I am not sure
Hey,
How i can turn on the welcome lights? And also. Is this will working for me only night times? It will be usefull
Btw,
The video is super but only 1time did the car for me the exterior lights at night.
How can i fix it?
Thx for the quick replay.
Works for me during the day as the car can't detect if it's night or day. Maybe the sensor that detects if the door is open is stuck? It's right where the door touches the body of the car
How turn off function 3?
When you turn off your car it closes menu :)
I know all of that, but thanks for let the others know
I had it in 2008 1.9cdti , i think it's still beautyfull than nowadays cars.
1.9cdti is also great engine, especially 150hp :)
Yes perfectely this is it 150 hp.
And had another in 2010 Sedan 1.7cdti made in turkey as acompany car.
71 driver side airbag sansor communication circuit mailfuncition ho to solve it
fixing the problem solves it, if your asking repair guides in youtube comments you should drive it to repair shop and dont touch it yourself....
Tf how ur bc is so looking good ? On mine is everything like bam here are some numbers idk if you know them but hey (astra h 1.6)
mine tooo some series don't have this bordcomputer
This car has 3 different radio types. TID (Triple info display) has very basic functions including bc
GiD (graphic info display) is the one in the video. You can choose between radio, navigation (very basic. Only shows arrows to tell you the direction) and bc
CiD (color info display). This display shows colors so not everything is in yellow. You can once again choose between radio, navigation with a map, bc and it allows you to connect your phone so you can call people
This one has the full graphical display. Some cars had a more basic 3 line screen (clock/temp and 2 lines for the radio or BC)
I think everyone knows about these features now
Looking at comments, not everyone does :)
thx
I knew about all 3
A mi el plástico central del volante seme rompió no recomiendo un opel a nadie y gastan muchísimo y eso que era un astra
If i do the thing with the error code it says me: 000000
Normal? xd
This is good😁
Nice
In Second function nothing happend...
Meaning, you don't have any error codes?
Pray to be like that always haha. You’ll see when you will have an error code and the possible causes are multiple, pain in the ass 😂 good cars anyway if you mentain them, z19dth owner for 2years, ex was z19dt, just normal/common problems solved.
I was talking about video when you showed second function.
It's not my complektation😅

those germans......
And for your inf.that is not astra H,that is an GTC
It is Astra H GTC, which is still an Astra H. GTC is just a 3 door type, just like Astra J GTC.
I knew all 3
I have a corsa D 1.3 CDTI 90 hp and that engine is terrible
This is 1.9CDTI 150HP, tuned to 185HP. For now everything is great, and it has a looot of tourqe😊
+1: clear error code, disconnect battery for 60 minutes
I have this car and finally after 13 years things are failing :( my clutch was $2500, I paid it, was the first thing to ever go wrong. And just this week high pressure fuel pump went! was $2000, pressure regulator $1000 :(

It got sorted when I got rid of my vauxhall bud 😚
congratulations your battery will drain now on...
20 seconds of turned on headlamps won't do anything to your battery. If this 20 seconds kill a battery, than that battery shouldn't be in a car.
