I wish I have good ping at wvw playing wvw with 300 ping is really real experience for me, again as starter touch wvw your cele guide is acceptable even people complaining or hate about cele gear.

I get focus for the defenses and proc-cing the spear burns but why not offhand pistol instead for synergy with your pistol 3?
You can, but you will lose spear refresh cooldown time.
