Man, MGSV is one of the best games of all time - I always loved Snake Eater the most, but 5 just recreated the understanding of a 'stealth game' in my mind. For your run, you could probably consider cranking up enemy hearing range, as it significantly affects the difficulty and tactics. Having just finished Sniper Elite 4 on "authentic plus" where it is a thing, it struck me, that if enemies do not hear you jumping or grabbing their comrades from at least 10 meters, it hardly is "realistic". I guess, I know what I be doing on my next run haha Cheers fellow DD, you're pretty good!
I think vanilla is actually fairly balanced. Certain actions, even though they are loud to the player, they're silent to guards so upping the distance wouldn't have any effect unfortunately. Things like diving, jumping or even grabbing enemies are completely "silent". It could be worth increasing the distance though, I'll have a look at the settings. See what I can balance while making it fun to play while being challenging (and fitting within the "realism" rule-set).
@@AdamOnlineYT Oh, I wasn't aware that those actions are hard-coded silent. Some tips, im not sure if you figured this later but its useful for holding people up. If you dont have a translator after you hold someone up, lay down and attack (preferably behind them as they sometimes alert if you do it from the front, it doesnt get you caught but it makes extra noise) then aim at them and they surrender while laying down. Another thing is to tell if someone is successfully held up or not. Usually the icon above them stays red if they dont surrender proper, but with no hud go to the speech and if the hostage speech options arent there they will try attack you. Again lay down and attack, they always surrender while on the floor. In most cases just do the laying down thing first if you can, it stops any risk of attack and you dont have to ask them to get down. Bare in mind it does make like 5m noise, but talking to them does the same anyway. If you need to run up to a soldier to hold them up, dive at them, it knocks them over then aim as usual. If someone does manage to attack you from surrendered, spam the melee button then aim at them, it stops them quicker than they can alert. Lastly getting them to surrender keeps them down indefintely unless a full alarm is raised or another guard finds them. An insta melee is only like 3 mins, a full cqc combo is 30ish mins, so is the running punch, tranqs are 4:30. Im pretty sure choking out is around 4 mins. You also mention dives being silent, they arent, an enemy can hear them from about 7m away around about.

I seriously need to fix my MGSV to do a run in this vein as I've done plenty of daydreaming about replaying it (my game keeps getting stuck after the credits following the nuclear disarmament cutscene). Though I reckon that a fresh save could fix that. Even playing Vanilla MGSV:TPP with the enemy markers and detection gauge disabled, playing as security-staff and going no-tranq gave me some of my most memorable gaming moments and I only played like a handful of missions like that. As much as I love MGS the tranq-gun has a bad habit of robbing the player off some really creative moments of improvisation. Also, a funny thing: Back when MGSV was a new I was actually kinda disappointed that dying as one of your security staff members you didn't lose said member. Hey, glad you enjoyed! In regards to the live chat stuff, interactivity is a big part of why I make these videos. People watching are able to use commands to play their favourite MGS tracks or change aspects of gameplay on the fly, there are also members of the modding community who are there and are able to provide really interesting insights into the games under the hood aspects, and also generally make playthroughs like this possible. In short, the live chat aspect is a big part of why I do what I do. I understand it's not to everyone's taste but figured I'd chime in on that. Thanks for watching o7
i also tried making a no health regen mod. i gave up becuz i couldnt get rid of the red overlay and the noises snake makes. but even if u get rid of those it still doesnt work becuz then u have no idea how much hp u have left. it's a shame becuz on the one hand the games teems with potential for a realism mode but on the other it's so difficult to mod.
if it weren't for mods like this there's a lot of games i would just play once and throw away. got really tired of the overstimulating HUDs in games and all the nav markers all over the screen and map. i need mods like this to enjoy games these days cus usually the combat and menu/hud is just immersion breaking and weird.
6:22 Sure, that's pretty realistic haha. Is there a way to increase the guards' field of view and range of hearing? edit: Also is there a mod to turn off Miller's/Ocelot's radio chat for yapping on whenever you extract guards, destroy installations (radio, AA, power)?
There is no mod to change the enemies' fov afaik. Their hearing and vision distance has been increased for this playthrough, but certain actions like most cqc and interrogations are hard-coded to not be audible to enemies, even though the player can hear them. So increasing their hearing has no effect unfortunately. There is a mod that removes those voice lines, if i remember correctly.
So you couldn't fly in by chopper? Because C2W can easily be done without getting out of the helicopter, if you destroy the radar in free roam. Then it's just Minigun to destroy the radio. Easy S rank.
I love these kinds of realistic restrictions. ...but shouldn't "No Fulton" also be a rule? That is a very "sci-fi" kind of tech. Also, why do you have 30'000'000 GMP? Shouldn't this be a "fresh save" kind of run?
@@adrianalexanderveidt344 Fulton is sort of necessary given that I'm playing a perma death ruleset. Meaning that when I die I have to fire the staff member. I need a way to add more soldiers to my ranks. For the GMP, the game stores a portion of it online so even if you start a fresh save you get a lot of it back. But I'm not using it for developing any weapons or the like because I don't take any weapons into the missions, so GMP doesn't really have any beating on the gameplay difficulty. Glad you like these kinds of runs, hope you're enjoying the video!
I very regret that we dont have something similiar to mgs or to Sam Fisher for around 10 years. I think market needs game like this with espionage mission included. But why developers doesnt creats a new IPs? Maybe that they cant pack a lot of micro payments and other bullshit like this
Certain actions like cqc and interrogations are hard-coded to be inaudible to enemies, even though the player can hear them. So unfortunately turning up their hearing has no effect on such actions.
@@AdamOnlineYT it's not and having more unrealistic shit in there doesn't make it look better. Knock someone out cold by sweeping them off their feet, smh lol what foolishness.
@@jaqua7732 It doesn't knock them out cold, it knocks them to the floor and then they are held up. It's realistic within the context of MGSV. It's not a simulator game like ARMA or something. Suspend some disbelief, it ain't that deep.
These videos are a little corny to me and they scream farming RUclips. Playing this game for years I understand how to cheese it even with these mods maxed out. It’s an extremely arcade-y game and it’s just not meant for this

@@AdamOnlineYT yeah man you do you, good video hope you keep on keeping on.
A tutorial on mod install would be appreciated
i also tried making a no health regen mod.
i gave up becuz i couldnt get rid of the red overlay and the noises snake makes.
but even if u get rid of those it still doesnt work becuz then u have no idea how much hp u have left.
it's a shame becuz on the one hand the games teems with potential for a realism mode but on the other it's so difficult to mod.
Sakra ee village is outside of the Mission Area of Where do the Bees Sleep, how did you get there without failing the Mission?
if it weren't for mods like this there's a lot of games i would just play once and throw away. got really tired of the overstimulating HUDs in games and all the nav markers all over the screen and map. i need mods like this to enjoy games these days cus usually the combat and menu/hud is just immersion breaking and weird.
FINISH HIS WHAT NOW
Sick
(01:42) Realistic Physics ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
So you couldn't fly in by chopper? Because C2W can easily be done without getting out of the helicopter, if you destroy the radar in free roam. Then it's just Minigun to destroy the radio. Easy S rank.
Which mod improves the guard sight because it's just ridiculous how close by i can come without them noticing me
Infinite Heaven on Nexus Mods, I suppose.
@@alifnaufal thank you
Perma-death huh? Damn that’s a bit too hard core for me lol.
I wanna get MGS V on PC to do runs like this but I'm worried recreating my character from Xbox would be hard.
Poor excuse just do it ffs
@@AdamOnlineYT Cool! Keep up the good work! And thanks for responding.
Hey Adam Is there anyway to play this mod what can I do in order to play it or can I just make my own?
Hey, thanks for watching, you can find all mods used in the description of the video.
guard peripheral vision still way too nerfed
Sir do you have a mod list possibly I would love to use all these mods
Hey, thanks for watching, you can find all mods used in the description of the video.
How sad that it isn't fpp
I used the No Health Regen mod back in the day, but sadly I can't find it anymore. Where can I download it currently?
I think you can find it as a setting in the infinite heaven mod
@@AnotherViewBot will check it out. Thanks
If you look at the med spray mod, its one of the files you can download
what are the mods so i can try it out
They're listed at the start of the gameplay section, early in the video 👍
@@AdamOnlineYT oh sorry i skipped to about 10 minutes to see the gameplay, great work btw
6:40 wasn't very realistic 😅
I very regret that we dont have something similiar to mgs or to Sam Fisher for around 10 years. I think market needs game like this with espionage mission included. But why developers doesnt creats a new IPs? Maybe that they cant pack a lot of micro payments and other bullshit like this
Kojima making a stealth game. Watch new state of play
There is also a splinter cell remake with sam fisher in the works hopefully the stealth genre can make a comeback
@@JamesMcKenzie-h3f I am full of hope
0:58 the leaves camo uniform it's from a mod or can you obtain in vanilla?
Theres a ghillie suit for the sniper class that looks similar in the multiplayer but this one looks different so I would say its a mod.
@@athenian221 thanks, unfortunately i play on ps so i cant
18:17 is that another mod? if yes where can I download it ?
Can we get a modslist/link to download?
Hey, thanks for watching, you can find all mods used in the description of the video.
Hey can you post this on nexus man is there a way we can play this
Hey, thanks for watching, you can find all mods used in the description of the video.
The guard reaction to sound isn't realistic though
Certain actions like cqc and interrogations are hard-coded to be inaudible to enemies, even though the player can hear them. So unfortunately turning up their hearing has no effect on such actions.
not realistic if the guards don't die in 2-4 shots
0:30 realistic mode already over 😂 tf
Wut
Goth music + MGS fits really well. Love it 😂
Tf is a Calorie Mate?
From older games
could you please give me the name of the uniform that the female soldier at 0:20 is wearing?
Imagine not being able to push 60fps in one of the best optimised games of all time and it's 8 years old.
Mods tank performance
Much love, but why do I feel like your graphics are so bad. I don't remember MGSV graphics being this rough looking.
I play with guard sight 300% and 40% health so yeah...
Easy there big man
Are you using auto aim?
Nope
How realistic is knocking someone out by sweeping them off their feet or by flip tossing them.
How realistic are walking battle tanks, psychic children or revenge fuelled fire demons?
@@AdamOnlineYT it's not and having more unrealistic shit in there doesn't make it look better.
Knock someone out cold by sweeping them off their feet, smh lol what foolishness.
@@jaqua7732 It doesn't knock them out cold, it knocks them to the floor and then they are held up. It's realistic within the context of MGSV. It's not a simulator game like ARMA or something. Suspend some disbelief, it ain't that deep.
@@AdamOnlineYT oh well I just didn't notice that somehow, but if it only knocks them down and then you have to hold them up that makes perfect sense.
@@AdamOnlineYT suspend some disbelief come on dude I play video games and watch marvel movies.

Seek therapy, Joseph. The only one who felt the need to defend their ego was you after having your objectively bad take called out. Find out why you felt the need to project so hard, your cognitive dissonance is showing.
Those of us who prioritize immersion, especially when it comes to games that simulate what it's like to be somewhere you aren't supposed to be and remain undetected, don't give two fucks about "gamers" like yourself who thunk everything you play should be treated competitively, like a sport. Stick with Mario and stop pitching. It is because of fucks like you that the beauty of these games are tarnished because you constantly spam the fucking dive button. In doing so, you disrespect the animators and programmers that put blood sweat and tears into these projects.
