- 2012 was one of the best years for Lego Star Wars of all time. This year gave us sets based on the Old Republic, Clone Wars, the prequels and original trilogy. These sets ranged from smaller sets such as battle packs and planet series. All the way up to giant starfighters and ultimate collector series models. In this video I will explore every single set released this year, and take a look at whether this year truly is one of the best of all time. I will look at the value, minifigures, build and price of each set, as well as take a look at what it is now worth today in 2024 as a lot of these sets have skyrocketed in value. There all so great, 2014 has perfect sets, from the battle packs to the larger scale ships. But then 2013 has the Ewok village, which in my opinion is one of, if not the greatest Lego Star Wars set of all time. And if I’m correct, the best display lego set, the UCS executor super star destoyer came out in 2012, (don’t quote me on that lol) so that makes all three of those years amazing. But then again, 2012 and 2013 had some ok sets. But in my opinion, 2014s sets almost never miss and are amazing in every capacity! We’ll see though, this video could prove me wrong!
2012 was a good variety solid year
This was the year I first got into Star Wars. This may be nostalgia talking, but I think every single set released this year is beyond superb.

I love the Sith Fury-Class Interceptor. It was a difficult build, but it was so nice to see stuff outside the movies and shows get some love. I hope we get more video game representation in the future. I want a remastered Rogue Shadow.
I've got one sealed in my backlog and am waiting for a special occasion to build it! I'd love some sets based off Fallen Order and Survivor too!

Found it kind of funny that despite this video being titled so excitedly positive, about half of the video is pointing out shortcomings and criticisms of the various sets that came out that year. Still, a good walk through the sets that came out in 2012
Haha yeah. I've got kind of a series going where I title each video the best and go into why each year is the best. After I've done some of the other 'golden years' I'll make a video comparing them all seeing what is truly best :)
Wow, I remember getting all these sets except for the B-Wing and R2D2, this really was an incredible year for Star Wars sets.
