Hi! Iran = Persia The two words are used equivalently to refer to the exact same thing country. Also, Iranian, Persian, and Farsi (or Parsi) all refer to the same language. Iran means the land of Aryans. * Persia means the land of Persians. * Iran is better to use since Persian is also the name of the largest ethnic group in Iran (that's why the country has always been called Persia). Still, other groups of people living in Iran are Aryans but are not Persians (such as Kurds, Balochs, Iranian Azeri's... that all speak different languages besides the official language of the country).
that guys's name with keyboard is schubert avakian and he is an iranian arranger, composer and musician ,,shadmehr aghili is another very famous and popular singer and musican that apparently had some Performances in this concert with ebi
Persian is the nationality and farsi is the language. Farsi in fact is Parsi, after the Islamic invasion of iran the Arabic alphabet was adopted for persian language, so since the letter P doesn't exist in Arabic, it got switched over to F.
This is a patriotic song because since the 80s there have been attempts to change the historic name of the Persian Gulf to the "Arabian Gulf", and if not always possible to just "The Gulf". "Persian" is crucial to the Iranian culture because it has strong cultural associations in the Western mindsets, as in Persian poetry, Persian carpet, Persian food, Persian cat, Persian language...long list. Therefore it should be preserved and not tampered with. It originates from Pars, the region that was the seat of the Achamenids and Cyrus. Arguably it would be a mistake to replace the "Persian" in "Persian language" with Farsi, because it erodes a cultural association, which could be conspiratorial, to which most of the Iranians could be oblivious. The Iranians refer to the language as Farsi (Arabized Parsi, because there is no "p" in Arabic), however, it should only be Persian in the English language. Just to compare, German is the language of Germany in English, but it's Deutsche for the Germans and Allemagne in French. The same principle should apply to Persian therefore. "Iran" originates from the Iranian plateau, and is more of a geographical description, which originally stretched to a much greater expanse all around, that's why Persian is spoken in many countries outside present day Iran. The miracle was that the language survived at all after the Arab invasion, although the alphabet became basically Arabic and there are many Arabic words mixed in now.
arabs say that persian gulf name got to change to arabian gulf and this song is called khalije fars which means persian gulf and he shouts at the end this sea will remain persian gulf.
This song is way beyond just a music for Iranians. It’s about the name “Persian Gulf” that some Arab countries have been trying to steal and change the name and make it their own for the past few decades.
The name of the song is “Persian Gulf”, and Persia, Pars, Fars, and Iran they are all the name of the same country “Iran”. So “Khalij e Fars” means the Persian, or Iranian Gulf. Persia (the Greek reference) and Pars are the more ancient names, and Fars and Iran are relatively the more recent name. Fars is the Arabic pronunciation of Pars (Arabic language does not have “P” sound so they use F sound instead). Hopefully, this can help a bit, Persian History is ancient and through long chapters of it, there has been many devastating storms that has affected it’s name and Identity...
Correction: the name "Iran" is not a recent one. The name of the country has been Iran for thousands of years. Iran comes from the name "Aryanam Vaejah" or the land of Nobles or Aryans, (meaning of which was later changed and abused by the Hitler's fascist regime). The Greek called us Persia and thus the international name Persia. One of the races in Iran is the Persian race, who speak Persian. There are other races such as Kurdish, Lur, Azeri, Gilak, Baluchi, etc. as well. Reference: www.bbc.com/culture/article/20180810-the-book-of-kings-the-book-that-defines-iranians
@@camsaffari Just one minor correction: Persians are not a separate race from other Iranian peoples. Modern Iranians include the Baloch, Gilaks, Kurds, Lurs, Azaris, Mazanderanis, Ossetians, Pamiris, Pashtuns, Persians, Tajiks, Talysh, Wakhis, Yaghnobis, and Zazas. They are all categorized as a subgroup of Iranian/Iranic peoples originating from the same race. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iranian_peoples
Iranians are very amazing and have a unique nature that no other country has. And that is that, unlike all other countries that are made up of one or a limited number of groups with the same race and language, the country of Iran is made up of 27 ethnic groups with 27 different languages and dialects, such as Persians, Turks, Kurds, Lors, and Gilks. , Maznis, Khorasanis, Tajiks, etc., and the only reason that has made this country stable for more than seven thousand years and prevented it from disintegrating with all these cultural and linguistic differences is unlimited love and patriotism. that Iranians have towards their country and nationality. And they are very proud of their past, culture and civilization Iranians are very sensitive to their history, identity and culture and are proud of it. For several years, the Arab-speaking countries on the border of the Persian Gulf have been trying to change the real and historical name of the Persian Gulf, which is recorded in all historical and international documents with the same name, the Persian Gulf, to the Arabian Gulf, and this issue has made Iranians sensitive. has done. But we suggest to our Arab friends that with the utmost respect "they should be satisfied with the same level of their history and culture, and not try to create civilization for themselves by creating fake names, because the history, culture and civilization of any country are unchangeable." For this reason, when Abi sings this song, which is about the Persian Gulf, he uses all his strength. Throughout history, Iranians have sacrificed a lot of blood to protect their land, borders, and even the culture and identity of their country, and they will never accept this cultural and fake aggression.
Thanks guys, another nice reaction again ❤❤... you might be surprised why Ebi is singing with all his passion and power...Just letting you know that "Persian Gulf" is a very very old name and goes back to more than 2500 years ago, and we persians are very proud of this area and its name as we respect to another countries at the same time....but since last century, most of Arabic countries have been trying to change "Persian Gulf" name to a new fake name , by spending much much money on this way ...
