Fun fact that you'll definitely want to keep in mind for later, if you wait until after he bows Grimm won't do the ball attack at the beginning. I think you just had a lot of pent up aggression from the colleseum and ended up attacking him right away every time :P
Grimm is hands down THE best fight in my opinion, it does feel like a real dance. You can check out mossbag's Hollow Knight Lore video, it's a bit long but it's the most comprehensive video you could find.
Grim Troupe itself do not change any endings for you. It´s content is by it self. Though you will probably be presented with a choice that requires two playthroughs if you want to earn both achievements. So choose wisely. The third arena fight seems really long but when you learn the waves it becomes easier. The hardest bit is the areal fight that last pretty long. A tip for you to be able to heal more is to save one easy bug each wave that gives you time to heal before next wave start. Also dreamnailing enemies and the crawling bugs (up to down) gives you extra soul right before the areal battles. The way you know how far you got in the battle against troupmaster grim/nightmare king grim is when he does his ball of fire thing, that occurs at 25 %, 50 % and 75 % of his health if I am not mistaken. I also wonder what leg eater think about you changing his charms? I would suggest to do the final boss (Radience) before you doing all the pantheons (the fifth one the hardest of them all) that one do give you new endings. Otherwise just keep on going you are doing great :D
I'm looking forward to your response to Mossbag's (Mostly) Complete Hollow Knight Lore. As for the pantheons... if you don't like the third wave of the colosseum, then I don't think you're going to enjoy the pantheons. Also, be warned that Mossbag's video does spoil the ending of the pantheon. After you've beaten the last "normal" ending of the game, I don't think it's a big deal, but it definitely spoils the pantheon ending.
