    I use 1.30mm on mains n 1 25mm on crosses of same string....works great

      @ZeroLoveTennis  2 года назад

      I might try this kind of approach. No need, necessarily, to have such thickness on crosses.

    Well, prince is bringing the Diablo back for a bit. Only extended to 27.25 but may be worth a look.

      It looks awesome. There are some very loyal Diablo Mid fans that wanted another release over the MP.

    Seems like your strings are only lasting less than 10 hours of play. Could it be your stringer itself that is contributing to short string life? I moved from a budget electronic stringer to a crank (Alpha Revo 4000). Every string in my arsenal is lasting significantly longer despite me playing more often and hitting harder than ever before. My old stringer, even though it had electronic tensioning, required me to bend the string at an angle to give it traction. My new crank stringer is able to pull the string pretty much straight without any angles. I believe that allows the strings to last longer. Just my 2c.

    • @ZeroLoveTennis
      @ZeroLoveTennis  2 года назад

      I'm not sure. It's a nice drop weight but what's this thing about bending at an angle? I wrap around a clamp to pull tension but that's every tensioner.
      I'm doubtful it's that. I'm pretty confident it's just how I hit. Lots of spin and pace. 16g definitely would last longer and I might try that on the mains if I'm annoyed with the lifespan too much.

    • @charlesdang2557
      @charlesdang2557 2 года назад

      @@ZeroLoveTennis gotcha. Yes there is a loop around the tensioner, but at some point you bend the string (cresting an angle) so that it catches on the rough pads in the middle of the tensioner. If you've already ruled out the effect of the stringer, good stuff.

      @@charlesdang2557 I see. Yeah hard to say how much that could matter. But it could. Trying to find a little more density in my next one but I'll try thicker strings (again) haha
      Almost done. Almost ready to just pick one.

    Do you know the swing-weights?

    • @ZeroLoveTennis
      @ZeroLoveTennis  2 года назад

      I don't recall but I want to say the whiteout was like 10 units higher. I want to say it was around 325 for blackout and 335 for whiteout.

    Did Solinco release extended versions too?! Wow, they are really looking to make an impact. They also released a weight kit too and wish other brands would offer that too. Is there a company that makes universal weighted buttcaps that you could swap out? Nice review.

    • @ZeroLoveTennis
      @ZeroLoveTennis  2 года назад

      I need to mention those in the next review because that's definitely a cool thing they offer. I'm not sure about weighted buttcaps. You might mean trap doors? That would be more practical but the fit is usually proprietary.

    • @b.lakeberg7456
      @b.lakeberg7456 2 года назад +1

      @@ZeroLoveTennis Yes, I meant trap doors. It is an awesome concept that the other companies should mimic or provide a universal option. I would pay for it.

    • @ZeroLoveTennis
      @ZeroLoveTennis  2 года назад

      @@b.lakeberg7456 definitely. I think it's an idea most companies would ignore but I hope solinco makes them regret ignoring it. I'm tired of tennis brands refusing to innovate anything small.

    • @b.lakeberg7456
      @b.lakeberg7456 2 года назад

      @@ZeroLoveTennis Yeah, the frame market has gotten kind of stale. What is your style of play?

    • @ZeroLoveTennis
      @ZeroLoveTennis  2 года назад

      @@b.lakeberg7456 I'd say I hit heavy with a lot of spin. Emphasis on baseline but I have a great slice and sometimes really good touch and drop shots. Volleys are ok but could be better. An area to work on for sure. I think I do a good job of keeping people back and making it tricky for them if they make it to net.
      So I want a racket that is good for my strengths and styles. This one does me well. Kinda wish it was a 16x20 but maybe this will do.

    How the test of those 2 babies going ? I a curious as a 1Bhander I am if blackout is cumbersome or too thick on the throat ?

    • @ZeroLoveTennis
      @ZeroLoveTennis  2 года назад +1

      It's definitely the more maneuverable of the two so if one of these isn't, it would be blackout.
      Honestly, the swingweight is right about the exact same as a vcore95 so it's definitely not too cumbersome. Balance is pretty whippy. Thick throat? I wouldn't say so but it's a little unusual looking. Somewhere like a combo of the vcore shape and pure drive thickness? Hard to describe but you'll see what I mean. Better feel than pure drive for sure.

      @@ZeroLoveTennis don't sweat it. I personally like the brain dump way you do it, it's very honest. But it could stretch the video a little bit long. If I'm limited in my time i schedule your video for watch later as i know it will not finish in 5 to 10 minutes. I don't mind and sometimes I'll end the video half way if the point you wanted to make came across already.
