  • Another track day with N2, this time my first one at Road Atlanta. This track is fast, blind and so much fun. It takes some time to trust the track hasn't moved per lap as there are so many blind corners.

Greetings. I randomly stumbled on your vid. I was working turn 7 where you pulled off. When the crash truck pulled up, you mentioned not knowing the protocol for this situation. Truthfully, there isn't a standard protocol. You did the right thing by being safe. Riders were doing strange things that entire weekend - like standing around in impact zones or leaving their bikes standing in gravel pits. Good job. Turn 7 is tricky, I'm trying to figure it out myself. Good luck and keep getting faster.

Thank you for clarifying that. It does scare me that people stand around in the run off area, I didn;t want to hand out there. I'll see you there next time.

Sounds like a false neutral/electronics problem. Very common on the sc77 fireblade, i had one from 0 to 25k miles and used to get them all the time, Paul Kingsburgh from KCS tuning can fix these issues.

I was just there with PRE last month. Will be back in July with Precision and STT. Home track for me.

Great vid! I raced CCS there in 2000 on a 600, the back straight and braking into the chicane (what use to be gravity cavity) was nutz and so hard I can't imagine doing it on a liter bike. At least the brakes didn't fail on the other end of the back straight.

Yeah I’m glad this failed 1 corner earlier.
It’s a really fun circuit and will be coming back again

Upgrade brake lines to braided metal and good race pads

Glad you got off the track safely. It might just need a bleed and stainless lines. Also watch that youre rolling completely off the throttle as ive had that happen to me before, sounds like the throttle was partially on while you were trying to slow down.

Tbh i think your right that i'm not off the throttle 100%. I pulled the clutch in when i knew i was hitting the grass, slighty panic mode too. Head was fried and i guess this is the learning process.

Brings back memories of my first track day at RA. It was before they modified turn 12. Glad you had a good time and made it back safe.

Its a amazing track. Heard the old layout of turn 12 used to be a lot faster.

@@ambition_vs_talent it was, I was in the flag stand when 2 formula USA bikes crashed coming through there, we ducked because we thought the cbr900rr was going to hit us up in the sand, it came damn close to doing that.

Rd. A will Def Fry brakes. I use Wilwood EXP 600 Plus High Temp brake fluid. That seems to help.

That certainly helps. But he’s got some major problem with this set up. Probably air in the line from not enough bleeding flash replacement. The lever shouldn’t go totally back like that.

I'm not in TN, I'm based near ATL. NCM track does look fun tho!!
And I don't get a laptime as I never really got turn 1 and 7 right on the same lap.

@@daytonasayswhat9333 they took out gravity cavity, that was a big G out spot at very high speed. Also where the guy in the video messed up turn 12 was a little different, if I recall the bikes use to use the turn 12 cars use these days. paddock was outside the front straight.

Uhhhh, so how did you end up with No breaks?” That’s a bit frightening. They certainly not a matter of brake pad upgrading there’s some fundamental flaw in your system there. Do you bleed them?

    • @ambition_vs_talent
      @ambition_vs_talent  4 месяца назад

Yes so the issue in the end was a slightly stuck throttle at 10% on. It was getting stuck on the slider at the end of the bar. That contributed to cooking the brakes and why the revs go up when I clutched in as I go off the track.
      Bit of a weird one.
