John Crump is the most inspiring greats of plein air painting on the planet today. A master painter and teacher. His painterly brushstrokes and atmospheric rendering of landscapes are majestic and captivating to behold.

I can’t believe you described exactly how I feel when I’m in a slump. It’s not that I don’t continue to paint but you sometimes feel like you’ve gone backwards. And you start to doubt yourself. You have to go back and look at some of the good things that you’ve done and remind yourself that you do in fact know how to paint. And the quick studies is a great way of helping you to move forward. You don’t feel compelled to have to make a completely finished painting but you can just work on areas that you would like to improve. Thanks again for the great video.

This really looks amazing, incredible artwork.
He should look up Dr. John Sarno and Dr. Howard Schubiner though about his hand. Could possibly be able to help.

Interesting palette. I always found that pb15.6 witch os phthalo blues shade is the only blue you ever need as long as you have phthalo green and magenta handy. Btw. Magenta and phthalo green makes a perfect radiant black.
