Have fun! We can not stress enough how we thought that Medieval Tallinn is the most beautiful in Europe. Lovely place with a lot of charm, food, history and more. We visited Tallinn around the same time period.
Toompea was the seat of power for hundres of years but to make it more exact then the pinkish building is our House of Parliament or Riigikogu. The building itself was built almost one hundred years ago.
Thanks for watching! We try to pack as much historical detail as possible. We appreciate any and all feedback. We really want to return to Tallinn, it was wonderful to visit. Do you live in Tallinn? Or visit? Just curious.

Hi! Thanks for watching. Well, we stayed in 2 different areas: Telliskivi and Kalamaja. We had no car and walked everywhere. When we make videos we film everything. Overall, we noticed a little graffiti in Kalamaja between the waterfront and residential apartments. I agree that the history is affected for sure.
Thanks for watching first and foremost. We definitely did not find Tallinn to be old and stupid as it was just charming compared to other cities in Europe like Rome or even Paris. Estonia was not a part of the Soviet Union. It was a sovereign state illegally occupied by the Soviet Union. Your video initially seemed to be a bit cringily obsessed with the Soviet aspects of Estonian history. "Baltic Europe" is not a term. Kalamaja was not a closed area during the Soviet occupation, but the seaside was. Tallinn originates as a town from the 13th century, not the 12th century. The Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is utterly hated by Estonians as it was built as a symbol of Russian imperialism. The matryoshka dolls in souvenir shops are also hated because dumb tourists buy them thinking they are part of our culture, but they are really part of Russian culture and don't have anything to do with Estonia. The bulk of Soviet symbols have been removed long ago. The ones you've seen are a minuscule minority of them.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. We really LOVED Tallinn. Also, we show the recent aspects that relate to Estonia's history. If you see at 16:13 we do a Communism walking tour that showcases a lot about the past history with Russia. If you wanted a video of us walking through the medieval saying little then our channel may be disappointing. We are definitely not obsessed with the undeniable Soviet influence. To not talk about that is ignoring very recent history. But we appreciate your perspective.
@@BigSmallTravel Don't worry, it was just what I gathered while watching it. Plenty of foreigners make these videos and they make the Soviet history part the central part of the background information which is quite frankly infuriating. But I'm glad you liked it in Tallinn!

I visited 4 years ago and never saw any graffitti (art?). It's reaaly spoilt a lot of the history (Why)
But, freehand graffiti is more common in Tallinn, while Tartu is known for its well-prepared stencil artworks.
