Can the next vid be a story time? How you started, where you come from, your experiences and how music became your profession, etc. I think it would be very inspirational for young musicians that may relate to you!

Vince was my teacher at Northwestern. Stopped studying with him after certain difficulties arose. Went to study with William Scarlett. Michael McClary, Assoc. Professor of Trumpet 🎺, Georgia Perimeter College and GSU

There are those that have mastered their craft, and those that can teach it. A lot of the time they are not one in the same. You are most certainly both.
    Thank you!

Soooo true. I had a teacher once for 3 years were I didn't make any progress and actually destroyed my lips were sometimes they would bleed but he was an incredible player a solo trumpet player in a orchestra in my country. After I went to another teacher who couldn't even really play himself anymore, I learned so much that I even passed the audition to a prestigious music school here in my country after a year with him. So to any young guys out there wanting to do it professionally, be honest with yourselfs and notice when something is not working out and make the jump and try different teachers out

Great sound, man! I never go a day without this exercise either. Fantastic for all aspects of playing evenly, beautifully, and musically all over the horn.

Great warm up Elmer! Hey Man your English is fine! Have you ever used the James Stamp Warm Up? It seems very similar, but it has more peddle tones. Thank You for the great post! 🎺👍

I personally think that you should always think forward and not up and down just so it doesn't affect the way you play. My opinion, and everyone is different! Your English is great!

Vincent Cichowicz was a prominent member of the Chicago Symphony and an esteemed member of the brass faculty. He put these exercises to paper around 1966 I believe? Calling them Flow Studies.
