  • Hey everyone!!
    i thought to share an old technique of mine with you guys and hope you guys find it helpful.

    Why you say you can't erase it ? You can erase it even if it's oil , the very fundament of this technique is to actually create tone with the brush and then proceed to work with the eraser to create textures and highlights. But it's only used for that intent , not to correct big mistakes. Just make sure to create multiple layers to get real black tones instead of putting directly bigger layer of painting right from the start. It will enable you to work better with the eraser later on.
    I can say that this technique doesn't have any real cons , the only thing is to make sure you don't get any painting on the paper by bad manipulation , like big chunks of oil. But other than that , it's very beginner friendly and good transition between graphic and painting.

    Very very helpful technique but can we use acrylic black instead of oil?

      Mariam Malik thank you :)
      And acrylics won’t have the same results because they dry up so quickly and secondly can’t be blended like we do with oil paints.
      You can try both sideways on a paper :)
