About Me ::
Hi, I'm Louise! I started this channel in 2009 after readers of my blog (also called Sprinkle of Glitter) suggested I give RUclips a try. I was instantly hooked and have found my internet playground on here. I make videos about beauty & fashion, positive living, motherhood, lifestyle and occasionally have special guests (friends, kittens or my sweet Daughters Darcy, 7 and Pearl, 12 months). Hit the subscribe button to never miss a video again!
I try to upload every Wednesday at 5pm and Sunday at 9am!
I chat every day on my other social media (linked above) so do come and say hi!
Big hugs,
Louise xxx
Over an HOUR?! We have been blessed this morning!
Bex yes yes yes
Yes, yes we have.
Darcy is always so kind, even when talking about your feet being dry she was making sure she didn’t say anything that would upset you ❤️ what a good egg
I thought this as well! Such tact for a little lady!
She's turning out to be a true Disney princess, like her mom 😍👸
Louise: “I’ll go settle Pearly”
Darcy : “No I’ll do it”
Literally hit me straight in the feels. Darcy is such a well rounded, polite, free spirited child.
Xoxox
If I could give an award for the RUclipsr who actually links it below it would be Louise Pentland. haha
Saru Ahmed 🤣 so true!
Louise! How good to see you again, darlin'. My longtime beautiful and cheery girl.
“It’s a good thing Mummy’s got a good Hoover” I wish my mam reacted like that when I made a mess as a child 😂
Oh my god! me too!!
Darcy and the "bum bum cream" gave me a good chuckle on an otherwise stressful day.
I am exactly like you on child “punishment”. I grew up in the day where spankings / slappings, even “the belt” were commonplace - I never touched my children (who are now adults) and managed to raise them without being physical. I have a hard time understanding how it’s not illegal either.
“Grandmas still going, she’s just started dishing out the goods early”.... 😂😂😂💕
Sharing your childhood experiences may open the eyes of some parents or even help some children who are watching this video to speak out. It's sad to hear that something like that happened in your past and how you shaped yourself into the strong and inspiring woman today. (I feel like my phraseology would be better irl haha)
I as a mother of currently two kids (6 and 2) and expecting baby nr three I still struggle to not behave towards my children like my parents behaved towards me ... I know it is wrong what I do sometimes and I feel horrible but in some situations I do not have a rolemodel to adapt ... I can't copie the right behavior... But I keep working on myself
@@sarahloser2614 I think what matters is that you are very aware of the fact that you struggle with not reacting like your parents. I think its really worth noting that you are trying and you are constantly trying to improve yourself, which is all we can do really. Try not to be hard on yourself as it very difficult to unlearn behaviour that everyone around you modelled for you x
I have really missed your old style vlogs! Pleaseeee continue with snippets throughout your week ( if you want to of course :)
Omg I hope that woman who abused you is in jail! How the hell do you break a kids ribs😡!! You are a wonderful woman to overcome such a difficult childhood 💖. Totally agree with not asking a woman if/when she’s having a baby or if she’s pregnant, it can cause so much pain to someone who may have something going on that we know nothing about.
What you said about how we don’t get to choose how someone shows their love and how it might be different to how we would want to receive it or would show it ourselves, and how we just have to try to accept that love really made me see things from my own childhood differently for the first time. ✨
That's made my day xxx
Could you do a video talking about how you deal with certain things as a parent? Like tricky behaviour/ tantrums/ food etc. I just love your parenting style and both girls seem so lovely, I’d really love to hear more in depth how you do it :)
Go on Louise! In your little crop top! You look fab
I love how Darcy told you your feet weren’t bad. I feel like she is learning great body positivity.
Louise would you consider doing a video about signs of abuse to look out for in little ones? I totally understand if not as this must be very painful. I work in a childcare setting and whilst we have extensive training it would be so useful to know what to look out for from someone who has firsthand experience 😘
Darcy is turning into the most lovely, polite little lady! Such a credit to you! 🥰
Strictly happens every year and it's not showing any signs of stopping!! Keep working and speaking it out into the universe and it will happen one day! I would love to see you on SCD, you would be absolutely fab xx
"I've had a baby since then and alooooot of food"! 😂😂😂 I adore you! Thank you for the 1hr + vlog as well 😍
The minute someone lays a hand on a child, it is no longer the issue of what the child has done but rather an issue of the adult not being able to control their own anger.
I’d love it too if you’d do another clothing range but maybe in all sizes, so anyone could wear them 🥰💕
I got A LOT of anxiety from how long you had the taxi waiting haha
I had to stop the video and just say-- omg, Darcy! "They're not yucky, they're just a bit sore." What a sweet kiddo. XO.
I had literally almost the exact same upbringing as you and I’m the same age with two children. hearing what you’ve said is mind blowing. Thank you is all I can say
Spanking is making a conscious and deliberate choice to hit a child ON PURPOSE. That's abuse. And there is NO loving way to abuse someone.
It absolutely baffles me how parents think it's ok. If I went up to someone on the street, pulled their pants down and struck them, it's assault. You'd be arrested. But somehow it's ok in the home on a child. Nope. Not cool. xxx
Louise Pentland I know it’s a very unpopular opinion, but I’m glad I was (very occasionally) smacked as a child. It was done with love and best will and it’s brought me up to be a very respectful young adult.
@@TMcB23 its good to hear that it didnt leave any bad marks on ur life, unfortunately i was hit as a child quite often and still to this day (im 25 now) i struggle a lot with all the consequences of that. and i wish i didnt have to.
have a great day!
@@Louisepentland I absolutely agree. If someone did that to their partner, they'd be arrested. That's why we have women's refuge, domestic violence shelters and underground railroads. Why are children any different, surely they are just as (if not more) vulnerable. It teaches children that it's ok to hit others when we get mad. They also learn to fear being hit as a punishment, as opposed to being told what they did wrong and how to fix it (i.e a teachable moment).
Children need to feel like it's ok to make mistakes, as that's how everyone learns. So I feel all children learn is to fear being smacked, and to fear their parent.
I'm really glad you talked about this. Just adding that smacking children as a form of ''discipline'' is illegal here in New Zealand, but this is recent. I am hoping this will be the case everywhere. Our domestic and child violence record is shocking.
Jacqueline I was very very occasionally smacked as a child, only if I’d done something incredibly naughty, and it hasn’t had any negative impact on my life
"This is my job, I'm doing my job right now, I'm at work!"
Goodness I love you SO MUCH ❤️ I'm beside myself laughing
I love how Darcy has turned out. You can tell Louise raised her so well. Darcy is just a sweetheart and I can’t wait to see how Pearl turns out. So far Pearl is just as adorable! You have beautiful daughters that are so graceful and intelligent
Yay Louise! I have to admit I do love to see the 'little bit every day' vlogs. It feels like the good old days! I know some weeks are too full on or you just want to focus on the fam or you just don't want to vlog so fair enough but thanks for our hour plus treat! X
Can’t even tell you how happy I was to get that splinter out 😂😂 xx
You're my hero xxxxx
When you were talking about the mua all I could think of was Bridget Jones and the book launch scene “.... the greatest book of our time... oh one of the top 30 books, at least...” 😂😂
'And yours Lord Archer...yours aren't bad either..' xxx
I was thinking of commenting when I first saw your Gucci bags about asking about your experience as you’ve spoken about it before but never bought one, but I was too scared haha.. would love to hear!
I thought you looked exceptionally beautiful for the luncheon! You are too hard on yourself! You make my Sunday morning! Also had a terrible childhood so I relate to you and aspire to be as strong as you one day! Thank you! X
I'm saving this for peace and quiet with a cup of tea, candles and a big bag of sensations thai chilli tonight when everyone else is in bed 💗 genuinely can't wait xx
thanks Louise this must have taken an age to edit and the persistent documenting with camera your daily life is greatly appreciated.
1 hour!!!! Also I love have bits of each day, but you do what you feel comfortable with whether you do one day, everyday, or 2 days, we will love it!! ❤
Love this vlog. Darcy helping you to open that box. She got so excited to see all that stuff. She made me smile. 👣💞💖
Darcy is just so precious! How she volunteered to settle her sister is just adorable. You are an excellent Mum!
I just love watching your videos. You are so genuine. And I enjoy how you are so honest with your audience. Showing the good and the tough parts of life. Thanks for being you. 💜
This is just a random thing but im SO IMPRESSED with the vegetarian options at the awards!
abigailtheartist I noticed that too.
Oh wow the black dress is fab. Would look amazing with your rainbow Kurt Bag. I have this bag too 🤩
I did an hour walk this morning watching you.🚶♀️👌 and walked the dogs. Great Sunday and thank you Louise x
You are so evolved, accepting and wonderful. You are parenting in a truly wonderful way...never second guess that...and be true to your soul...as you are!
I really appreciated you opening up about your therapy sessions and your experiences as a child. It's so incredible to see what you have become, regardless of everything that happened to you. Very proud of you and you provide so much hope for us as well. Thank you so much! Xxx
The highlight of my weekend! I just enjoy these Weekly vlogs so much 💛
Your humor and way with words cheers me up without fail every video ♥️ been a viewer for years and you’ve made a great impact on me as a person. I’m so grateful for that 💌
You are so charismatic on stage, Louise! As you are always.
The whole 'under dressed' 'over dressed' kind of thing stresses me out soooooo much. Me and my partner now have a code for the many family events we go to for his side of the famalam. He'll tell me the event and my first question is always 'so is it a glitter or a no glitter?' Sorted!!
i was wondering about the gucci bags too - i‘d love to hear the story about them because i remember you saying you‘re not one to have such expensive bags ❤️
a weekly!!!! with an actual week!!! over am hour!!!! thAnk you louise couldnt be happier
Louise, that clip of you not knowing where to leave the stage had me cackling, that is me basically 24/7 😂😂
Perfect timing!! This is exactly what I want to watch
Good morning Louise , you do look *swish* ! I literally live for your videos . I watch them when I get ready 😂
Lots of love !
Emily x
Darcy is such a sweetie ❤️ and Pearl waiting for you on the threshold 😭😍 and I’m only 10 minutes in!!! I have been truly blessed this morning!
Darcy is just adorable! What an absolute peach. Reminds me so much of my boy when he was little, quite mature and sensitive. Stoked to have just found you xo
Over an hour vlog?!? Loved every minute of it! You are a lovely human being, Louise! Just be happy and healthy! Hugs...
Loving the candid chat about your life - I hope it's helpful to people out there
I love that yellow skirt and black top combo 🔥🔥🔥
I feel like it’s my birthday! A vlog from Louise that is more than an hour long?!! My day. is. made! Absolute gold as always Louise!! xxxx
i find your videos so comforting and i’ve just realised its because you remind me of my mum (definitely a compliment that woman is my fave)
It’s so refreshing and brave of you to talk about your childhood struggles so openly. As others have already suggested, getting involved with a charity like Childline sounds like a great idea! I also appreciate that you dared speak about your disagreements with parental corporal punishment, that’s something that is quite taboo in Britain anyway, but has been illegal for decades in countries like Sweden
Thanks for putting up great content once again!
I love Louise’s outfits! You always look bloody brilliant🤩x
Thank you for your amazing positivity and humble nature (currently rewatching in 2021) I have been going through old videos as a reminder of the old normal before the pandemic and your videos always make me smile and lift me up everyday! Much love, stay safe
Thank you for amazing videos every week. I am only 15 yet you are the most inspirational female in the media. Thank you so much 💕
Lovely, lovely, lovely 😘🥰💕 I enjoyed every second of the 1:11:05 long vlog, thank you so much. Yes, you’re back to your old confident self, and I don’t know ANY other woman that rocks a pink lippie like you do! 👍✌️💋
Sunshine, a mug of coffee and a whole hour of Louise, life doesn't get much better than this xxxxx
Hey Louise, I never really comment on your videos, I’ve always been a watcher and never really written anything. I would just like to say how much the weekly every week has made me feel so much better. I tend to get very lonely and every Sunday it’s almost as if I’m with someone. I’d just like to say how much your videos comfort me. You also seem such a genuine and all round lovely person x x x
I absolutely adore you. I love that you're just you and don't really try to do things up just for the camera. You continually make me legitimately laugh out loud and I love it.
Strength in your convictions that people do not deserve to be physically hurt in any way (even little people), forgiveness, understanding, and grace all wrapped up in a strong woman. 👏 👏 👏
i honestly cant put into words how much comfort i get from these videos but i can say THANK YOU for making them
I don’t watch many vlog channels but yours is an exception. I feel homely and happy whenever I watch them. I am a younger viewer but love the videos non the less. Thank you for being such an inspirational women xx 💕
That bit where you zoomed in not knowing where to go on stage made me wee 🤣 I’d be curious to know who funded the rspca event, as I feel like a percentage of their donations don’t often go to helping animals as it is 😞 loved the weekly! Over an hour! What a joy 💞
I’m really enjoying watching all your old videos they’re getting me through lockdown 🧡 love you!
How could anyone not love you 😂😂😂 trying on those dresses I swear you are the most amazing woman so relatable thanks for making me giggle!!
I LOVE that this is an actual WEEKLY. Keep them like this missed the old vlogs ur personality shows thru more
Ive been sat here for 30 mins waiting to watch this before work! Make my day💓 lets not even start on the fact its 1 hour and 11 minutes long🥳🥳
Pearly waiting at the door and calling out 'mama!' - cutest thing
You worrying about what you're wearing is literally the relatable thing!!!!
I lost count how many times I had a little giggle watching this weeks Weekly! Thank you Louise❤️
THANK YOU Lady Louise for blessing us with the best hour of the day
I think you looked lovely for the event - your hair, makeup, and color choices looked great.
Thank you for what you said on asking about pregnancy. I actually lost my baby a month ago and its something people are often oblivious too xx
Morning great timing hun . Just watching whilst getting ready for the day. Happy Sunday x
It is now 2024. I decided to watch your videos randomly. Firstly you looked really nice in what you wore at the luncheon. Secondly, I had forgotten what Pearl & Darcy looked like little. They've changed so much in 5 years wow!!❤love the little bakery ❤you would be a great story teller for children
Hi lovely, I just wanted to say how much i thoroughly enjoyed this particular vlog. You are just so incredibly funny without even knowing it. It was an absolute joy watching you this week with all your confidence and funny wit. You have brightened up my day. xx
Laughing at Pearly’s disbelief at being allowed the sprinkles! 😂
When you were talking so openly about your dad's parenting it is so relatable. Even though I'm sure it's a very hard and vulnerable thing to talk about it's really helped me comprehend things and I'm sure many others!!🌞☺️😘✨
Louise you're perfect!! beautiful family, amazing personality, incredible out look on life and i always smile and laugh while watching you, favourite time of the week seeing you upload. Darcy and Pearl are lucky girls to have someone like you as a mummy, two very beautiful kinder hearted girls xxx
I absolutely love the old style of the weekly, and prefer it to the current style. That being said, I want whatever is best for you as a creator, a mom, a partner and a human being.
In Scotland there is a big movement to actually make smacking illegal, thank goodness. I cannot express how against it I am, violence is never the answer. Personally, I feel that punishing a child with violence only teachers them that it's okay to use violence to get what you want. Sorry to hear what happened to you when you were young Louise but you truly are an inspiration. You have gone through so much but were able to see that those things are not right and break the cycle, which is absolutely amazing!
I think you look absolutely gorgeous in the yellow skirt!
The “maybe not maybe not” as you opened the blinds made me cackle 😂
It means so much to see someone who had a bad childhood be a lovely mum, mine wasn’t the easiest and I’m always worried that I would be the same as I was treated, but you ease that worry. Darcy and Pearl are two very lucky girls ❤️
Life has been so busy but i am sat on my bed with popcorn and a drink of coke ready to catch up on videos 😄 x loveeeee the denim jacket 😍
Yes!! Someone else who loved the Giant Jan sandwich! I loved this book growing up and I went in search of it in my mums loft to find it out for my one year old daughter! No one else I speak to have ever heard of it!!
I love a smock but can’t carry it off 😭
See out done them all with the duck skirt. I actually love that skirt you worn to hello magazine it’s stunning I’m too big to carry it off. Xx
That baking role play area is a nursery teachers dream, brilliant to bring out all sorts of areas of development! Especially the books linking to the activity, love it.
So glad FabFitun is in the UK! It's one of the only subscription boxes that is always worth it!
Louise!! Thank you so much for listening to the feedback! I am so overjoyed by this vlog. Watched every second beginning to end and it is as enjoyable as always! Love the duck skirt btw. Can't wait for next week!
Thank you for cheering up my evening after a disappointment 😊
I love Darcy, what a little sweetheart she is!
I love it when you do your makeup in your videos! 💕💕
