Swapping to the Spring Chicken reverse joint legs could help you against more airborne enemies and also give you a more traditional "Dragoon" feel.
This brings me back to Oro's Arsenal from DS2. Good old times. I love the AC6 series so far as well!
Man, I am right there with you on that. Was just thinking the same thing yesterday honestly when I ran across a different AC6 Oro's Arsenal vid Everybody loves to shit on DS2 but IMO it's the best souls game in terms of PVP.
I do love that the laser slicer attack chain is long enough to reload the zimmerman in-between. Such a strong combo.
A build I made yesterday is this but instead of the lance and drone, two bullet orbits to stagger super easily, and shoot them while I'm using the laser slicer, then if they don't survive that, like you said, the zimmer can follow up
I knew Rusty was going to be a baller as soon as he pulled out the Laser Twinblade. So glad we get to use it. Gotta try this one out.
I'm more a fan of Pile Bunking personally, as I can never get the Laser Slicer to land it's full combo, but the build is sick. Bunker also kills through stuff like Pulse Armor, since the charged attack comes out faster than Pulse Armor will off a stun.
But the STYLE
laser slicer uncharged combo will kill most light-medium builds with the Basho arms, if you stagger them first. It's the uncharged attack chain that does the heavy lifting, I find the charged attack to be worse. Only heavy builds or those with terminal armor will survive it - but you can just do assault armor at the end of the combo and nuke their terminal armor.
If I had to guess, it might be your booster. The stat that affects boost during melee is really important for some melee weapons to actually connect consistently.

I just unlocked the slicer last night, ive been wanting it for a while since i saw rusty with it, NOW i want to use it even more. It just looks so good and does so much damage lol

To be fair melee builds kind of need shotguns, nothing else has enough impact/speed of use as a 1 of weapon

My frame I used for NG+ and NG++ was this except with a pistol on the right shoulder so i didnt have much downtime on my Zimm and Pile Bunker on the left shoulder. Such a fun build!

Can't help but notice these youtubers always have great fights against great foes. Yet when i get on its almost always someone glued to the ceiling and running away, or a double zim rush. Ahh the power of editing.
That paint job coloring is absolutely sick. I love my purple mech currently but I can’t find a good color combination like that one!
I mean. I'd love to see do a variant on this with reverse joint, because Dragoons are typically known for their Jump skills and this is more of a charger.
Issue is that lance excels on the ground, so you don’t really want to jump around much
Damn I wish I could just go into missions with two melee weapons.
I find laser Lance + flame thrower + dual song birds on tetra legs or tank treads is just mean.
You get Constant pressure from the flame thrower and it has the added benefit of obfuscating the laser Lance wind up. And if youre rocking tank treads you can unload with the song birds without the problematic recoil absorption. Follow it with an assault armor blast and the opponent will be in stagger city. It makes npc ACs a total joke.
I’ve made a (very unoptimal) laser lance + pile bunker build before and landing the very not-true combo was hilarious
So now that I have some more experience with the game, my only alterations would be the mind beta legs, and the arora coral gen for the harder hitting AA.
I do use the Alba head and two split missiles, one in the arm and one on the shoulder, but I have yet to really test these in PvP, and are mostly personal preference.
how feasible is it to swap out the slicer for my beloved pile bunker? i know Vaati did a build using lance+pile bunker and it worked really well because the charged lance has enough forward momentum that it lands you right next to staggered bosses, but that build was focused on oversized PVE bosses, not enemy ACs.
I think Spring Chicken (or best avalable RJ legs) would be better with this build both thematically and practically due to the better innate jump of reverse joints.
I was gonna say, all it needs is some good jumping legs.
RJ legs do suffer on the ACS stability front, which is kinda important for melee/shotgun builds.

To people who have played the 3v3 PvP mode. Do you think it has longevity or will it be pretty dead soon, similar to all the non-duel modes in Elden Ring? (yes I know these are very different games but AC's 3v3 and ER's 2v2 & 3v3 are practically the same game modes by the same company)
I hope it stays alive so we can watch teams do tournaments and stuff lol

Melee attack thrust stat on your booster DO NOT effect charged melee attack speed or range. Just use any booster you want

Question from someone who doesn’t have the game. If I use weapon bay to have two melee weapons would it prevent me from having a normal shoulder weapon on the right?
Yeah, you basically have three combinations: two shoulder weapons, two weapon bay swappable weapons, or one shoulder weapon and 1 weapon bay swappable weapon. If you're running a melee swap, you can only have a shoulder weapon on your right shoulder since only your left side can hold melee weapons

2 hit combo
uncharged 2-hit attack chain. Charged attack is too slow to reliably confirm on a stagger.
Anything that makes lazers actually work is good in my book.

I agree. It activates at 1 hp for 2 seconds. Might as well make it 1000 ap or below for those 2 seconds.

So I've happened across what is possibly the most degenerate build in the game. Now that this fell knowledge is burned in my brain, I inflict it upon all of you.
Dual zimzams
Dual funnels
The heaviest quad you can slap together.
Get in range, sic your funnels on them, then assault boost into the poor fucker, pop the zimzams and hurricane kick to victory. By the time your kick is finished, your zimmers should be reloaded, so pop pop kick. Most will be dead by now, if not pop more funnels and continue to make them regret being born.
I have not figured out a counterplay to this, yet, and I'm not entirely sure there IS one.

Multi-player can definitely have some insane high damage instances and builds like this one. Single player pve can aswell but not line this. Some bosses have high damage attacks that could potentially one shot you, but a lot of missions consit of you picking off smaller and weaker targets and working your way up to bigger ones. Definitely give the campaign mode a check out :)

I have a fist build called akaza and go into pvp with my fist and if I play right I can win some matches
Mt very first pvp match was against oroboros and it was a learning experience. He was nice enough to rematch a bunch, he won all of them of course, but after him, I did really well because I was more prepared. But FROM SOFT, why are you pairing first timers with top tier players?

Literally using a melee without some stun option is stupid, specially in ac6 eith the nonstop meta builds, iv been part of the ac community for years and some of yall are acting like absolute fools towqrds all the new players
