Nic Jenzen-Jones, Director of Research for Headstamp Publishing, spent some time in Budapest speaking with László Becz, author of "Rifles on the Danube: Hungarian Kalashnikov Firearms 1959-2002". They talked about everything from the history of the FÉG factory to the difficulties in finding and interviewing retired engineers who don't have phones. All in all, Laszlo has put twenty years of work into this book, and it's exciting to see it come fully to fruition now!

Can’t wait to get the book and comb through all the details, seems like a lot of time and effort went into this. Köszönöm szépen Nic és László!

I for one like seeing a non-Ian host! If this means we can have more Forgotten Weapons content, especially for something like books coming out, I consider that purely a good thing. It's not like this means Ian is doing less.

I have an AMD-65, AK-63D and AK-63F. I was excited to hear about this book being published and ordered a copy for myself.

I'd really love to buy one of these books even more so after the fact he mentioned how rare or difficult to access the data was. Seems like something you can't find anywhere else

Such an interesting subject to pick, I'm sure Mr. Becz will do a great job exploring it. I wonder what Headstamp has in store next.

Ian didn’t think we’d notice it was a body double! Just kidding, I thoroughly enjoyed this interview and the fact that he looks like an Australian Ian was the cherry on top. More Ians from around the world please!

Kedves László, Nagyon köszönjük a taralmat és a könyvet. Kapható lesz-e esetleg magyarországon? Vagy csak a feláras EU változat az egyetlen esélyünk megvásárolni?

Looking forward to this. There's a lot of scope for books about Warsaw pact firearms development particularly the Czech, Polish and East Germany. Although if you guys did a book about Italian Service Firearms I'd buy that too.

There is an old joke about coverd weapon manufacturing: A young couple expecting a baby and don't have the money for baby stroller. But the husband works in a baby stroller factory he brings the parts home and try assembly. After some week the man get angry and say to his wife: - I give up! No matter how many time i put this together its became a tank!
