  • AUCKLAND (Pacific Media Centre): A Papua New Guinean journalist and researcher talks to the Pacific Media Centre’s Climate Change and Covid-19 Pacific Project about the crisis facing her country.
Stephanie Sageo-Tapungu, from Madang province, reveals to project journalist Sri Krishnamurthi the impact of the coronavirus and climate change on her homeland.
She is concerned that covid-19 has forced climate change into a secondary role but it still remains a serious concern for her home province of Madang.
Sageo-Tapungu was talking to the Pacific Media Centre's PMC-EJN project as part of a series of interviews which Pacific Media Watch undertook with the Internews Earth Journalism Network (EJN).
She was in the process of returning to her home and family after completing doctoral studies in Aotearoa New Zealand with concerns for both when this interview was carried out in August 2020.
