    Kilocalories and calories are taken as same in the indian context. When we say 500 calories it basically means 500 kcals but written as calories only. Read somewhere in marrow app (7:55)

      Kilo calories is the unit we use for calculations of human consumptions. Kilo calories in common practice is written as Calories (Capital C). This is different from 'calories' (1000 calories = 1 kilo calories or simply 1 Calorie). There is nothing like Indian context in it.
