Love how being called doctor is so important to him. 70k a year? Less than a plumber.
Who do you think will have the best chance of working till they die? Jobs like doctor and etc. can work longer if they want to on average. My dad has a PHD and he just retired at 70!!!! There are trades people who retire that age but he could work more and many of his friends are still working longer!!!
More than most plummers.... why does everyone on this channel think that plummers make so much money? The median salary is 56k.
Because they are just starting out. They will be pulling big money in time.

What is the median salary of a plumber? According to BLS it’s 59k per year. Where did you get 70 was the median?

He is not driving, he’s flying….like a 5 hour drive is a killer. I regularly drive from Chicago to South Carolina and back, in a day. It makes more $ sense to fly - I like the convenience of having my car while I’m there. But a 5 hour drive is nothing. They have some growing up to do.
“We have a ton of debt but we also want to enjoy our life” - Dave just smiles

Actually, nothing that the caller said about their counselor was bad, they just said enjoyment. Didn't say how much to spend on that enjoyment. Lol I think the color is assuming hey let's go and spend all of our free money on it, we don't know that's what they were told to do previously.

Except he always goes bad when the subject of a marriage counselor comes up, like at the 3-minute mark, of course he insults the counselor when he has no idea of the specifics of their discussion. He seems to assume that whenever callers mention anything about work life balance, or taking time for fun they are advising to spend tons of money which he has no idea if that's true or not.
“I’m a doctor of physical therapy.” How embarrassing. Trying to make himself equal to his physician wife only makes the difference worse.

Let's be nice ..I feel sorry for these individuals because they are placing their worth on the title rather than who they are. He has a lot more to offer than being a dr or a factory worker or anything else. I just feel sorry for these types bc they want to prove something and have been sold a bill of goods.
@nm c Feeling “sorry” and being nice to them is not going to help anyone besides maybe make you feel a lil better that you felt sorry for this person that you don’t even know. Tough love is true love…not that “emotional love” mess.
@@nmc1859 true
In the real world, a Doctor of Physical Therapy is NOT a physician. He uses the term to enhance his stature but he is really just a PT with more schooling. In 2020, they mandated that PTs hold a Doctorate, but it is more akin to a Master's degree than anything close to an MD. His earning potential will probably top out at $150K after years of experience.
This couple will always be broke because he likes titles and with titles comes appearances and lifestyles.

That's a shame pt's need a doctorate. It will only makebseeing one more expensive.
PTs top out closer 80k in most practice areas. I’m an OT and it is definitely not worth the amount of time, education and student loans to be a therapist. My wife has way less education than me and has already surpassed me in salary and has future promotions/ raises coming.

As someone who works in the rehab field, a PT referring to themselves as a doctor because they have a doctorate degree is ridiculous and pretentious and entirely misleading to patients if he’s walking around a clinic or hospital calling himself Dr. so and so

Also caller: “Ha, ha, Dave, you think I’m going to drive five hours instead of paying several times that travel cost to fly there? Such frugality is fine for the other peasants who call into your show but it is not how I roll.”
When the drive is only five hours, I think flying becomes a hassle. You have to deal with airports; security; baggage check-in and retrieval; vehicle rental (or waiting to be picked up from the airport); vehicle parking for an extended time (unless you can be dropped off at the airport, in which case you have to wait to be picked up when you return.) Yeah, I think I would just drive the five hours and have my own vehicle available to me for the duration of my stay.
@@gregorymoore2877 Exactly. You don't even get much if any time savings from flying in place of a 5-hour drive.
@Gregory Moore - I agree. If most flights still require you to be at the airport two hours before your flight, they could be almost halfway there by driving, rather than spending that time going through security and waiting to board.
