Love the videos! I am a first year in Kinder teacher. I need suggestions on low or no cost ideas easy prep ideas and could you use a smartboard as a center for classes that have no student computers or other tech?
Great video! I teach 1st grade and I am using centers. I have a center where the students use letter beads and pipe cylinders to spell sight words. I have magnetic letters on cookie trays and they also spell their sight words on it. After they spell it on the cookie trays, they also have space on an area of the whiteboard to write the words there too. I have a Read to Self Center where they pick books, wear colored plastic glasses I bought from Target party area. They love wearing the glasses! My kids also have a Technology Center and they use LEXIA, Compass Learning, sometimes I allow them to go on www.star fall.com, and I also use www.abc ya.com. There is also a writing center where they use dry erase markers, dry erase whiteboards to write sentences and draw. It allows me to pull kids aside to work on various skills. I enjoyed watching how you do centers. Thank you!
Hi Monique! I know you mentioned that you linked the seller above, but which one is it exactly. I ended up purchasing the sight word bundle, but I couldn't find the activity with the letters and spinner. Can you please tell me which one I should buy? TIA
HI Gabriela, The spinner was made by The Moffat Girls. If you follow the link under other math / literacy centers. She has several amazing resources for centers.
