Nice! You can't beat that Keith bullet design. Elmer Keith was a legend with his experiments and I think he hunted exclusively with his bullet. I actually enjoy the recoil of full house loads. Good stuff as always my friend

I use the top punch that comes with my Noe or rcbs Bullet molds, they drop right down inside the lee seating die , works perfect especially with soft lead and if your compressing black powder, it won’t deform your Bullet
lots of people have reported erosion on their forcing cone after using lilgun. i like my gun too much to cause undue damage to it, so i stay away from lilgun when loading for revolvers.
Have you tried using a gas check on the base of those bullets? It will allow for a little bit hotter round without melting lead down the bore. My general use was the 148gr semi-wadcutter with gas check. Excellent performance. I used 2400 powder.
Very Nice Elvis ammo . I have to say Iv always love the Keith style bullet in a 38 Spl or a 357 Magnum it always works really nice. Thank you so much for anther green video
Yeah I got out today to test out the Elvis woods load and I have to say I definitely would feel properly armed with a cylinder full of them. I just tested out 50 of them there definitely fun to say the least
I go between a similar load with my Keith bullet using H110. I also like a 125gn XTP at around 1800 fps. with H110 using Hodgdon's data. They claim 1900 but my 4 inch Gp100 is a bit smaller than the test barrel.
@@deandeann1541 Might be a bit less with the load data provided by Hodgdon's. The max load velocity is 1966fps and their test barrel is 10" and doesn't a cylinder gap.
You can buy flat-ended seating stems from Lee. They're not too expensive and are shipped pretty quickly since their "FLAT" profile isn't considered custom. I had to order one for XTP projectiles.

I stopped using my fcd's on lead bullets because the post size ring swages the lead down in the case and defeated the point of sizing the boolit to .001 over bore diameter. My gp100 cylinder pins to .360 and if I run the fcd and pull a boolit it is post sized to. 357 not the case with any other crimp die. On auto rounds this destroys case neck tension and makes setback scary easy by just pressing the loaded boolit on a hard metal surface. Unfortunately I now only use the carbide fcd's fire the few times I load jacketed.
My woods round is a 350gr .45-70 loaded up or down as necessary for the distance and size of the game animal. Best advice I ever got… hunt with what your comfortable shooting at the range because that’s what your most accurate with. If your flinching there your going to flinch in fathers field…

L’il Gun is a bad mother I usually save for nasty .45 Colt loads. My favorite.357 load so far is a charge of A-9 a little short of maximum with the Lyman/Thompson gas check bullet at 160 grains. Gives 1335 in a 4.625” barrel with an extreme spread of 26.
