First time listening to this band and I'm kind of blown away. So many styles! The lyrics at 2:44 reminded me of Nine Inch Nails - Eraser. I need to listen to Frost* entire discography right now.
Straight out on the footprint of "Tower Block", I see. Interesting. First times listening to that for me were a progression from "What even is this?" to "have they gone mad?" to "I think I like it", and it's now one of my favourites, close behind the classic "Hyperventilate".
Last track Mr. Blundell did with the boys. Friggin amazing grove. Both different and classic Frost at the same time. And the guitar solo is classic Mitchell. Worth the wait as usual. Its gonna be a Frosty day!!
Here's hoping Craig returns to the fold (now that he no longer has his SW ... uh ... "day" job?) though I know once concerts happen again Steve Hackett is going to keep him busy.
I'd like to know what combination of Mitchell and Godfrey is involved in the solo after the 3:00 mark. That is the wildest and most jaw-dropping solo EVER! Both bandmates are just such a joy to listen to-I hope their collaboration continues ad infinitum. For me, only IQ comes close to Frost*. Everyone else is far in the rearview mirror.
Insane... on first listen I thought...have they lost their minds? But having seen the Frost*verts... it all makes perfect sense... Crazy bastards.... I love you.
Best Prog Band out there right now and there's no close second! Well, I take that back. What Neal Morse and Mike Portnoy are doing in the last 15 years would put them in definite contention. After that, nothing else out there touches this and them for me.
Neal morse Roine stolt marillion...those guys are touched by inspiration .but i concess the composition here have something different ..as porcupine tree did .. sometthing that s occult and magic
Sorry but those compositions since 10 years are top top top ..really very inspired of Manu things BUT really inspired ..the chords ,the textures ,etc ,all IS GREAT LEVEL !!from France
Check out their album Milliontown, specifically the songs hyperventilate and black light machine. It's different to their current style, but it's my favorite of their albums
@@DrTacoPHD665 Thanks! I've checked out some of their other stuff already. I didn't find most of it to be "heavy" like this song. This right here is more my preferred kind of "intensity," but I'll certainly check out your recommendations.
G. Rost They have a song called The Dividing Line which isn’t on any of their albums album and I’ve only ever been able to find here on RUclips. It really matches the intensity of this song and I highly recommend it.
Jolly Jeepers 😯what a blimmin' awesome track. Loving this next evolution of *FROST can't wait for the EP. The Riff at 03:55 Sounds like a twisted version of the Green Hill Theme from Sonic 1 🤣
Indeed! You probably heard this but I am seeing you everywhere haha, love your taste man! And ofc, amazing profile pic, revisited Triangle recently, still brilliant!
I'm more of a metal guy but this is awesome! It reminds me of black light burns, and the part at the 2:17 mark sounds similar to Language (The Contortionist) Sick song.
@@BillyCrawshrimp I don't remember anymore. Relistening to this, I don't think it sounds anything like porcupine tree except the drum patterns are similar to Gavin Harrison.
Frost's singles are some of my favorite pieces of music. This has big Dividing Line vibes, which is one of their coolest tracks ever.
Frost* are the best!
I'm never not impressed with these guys. Truly, they exemplify the cutting edge of modern musicality. Super talent right here!
Wow, absolutely loving it!! Could we see a Frost/Devin Townsend/Steven Wilson triple bill somebody? I'd kill for that show.
Wouldn’t that be wild?....a good thing....
Ah nothing like new Frost in the morning ..loved it.. a very underrated band..good stuff guys

Hightly recommended 😊😊. The tittle "Black light machine" is outstanding 👍👍
@@frenchbassguy cool!
I hope you've already checked them out by now. It's worth every sacrificed second.
*THIS IS WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED!!*
True story - I very much did want this song!
not only- I want more!! 😅
Ahhhh Frost....love you guys...thanks for all the great refreshing awesome epic music
Refreshing is an absolutely adequate adjective.

What a boost of youthful rebellious energy to the Frost sound! Very cool. Parts remind me of the Prodigy. (The Frostigy?)
Had the same thoughts
No doubt. This stuff is fresh!
Frost is always founding new paths when it seems there's no new possibilities to be discovered in the progressive genre.
Progdigy?

pure reason revolution releasing new stuff and now... frost*
May 2020 find its redemption through good music
Don't sleep on Haken, their new album is out June 19th.
Insane... on first listen I thought...have they lost their minds? But having seen the Frost*verts... it all makes perfect sense...
Crazy bastards.... I love you.
Best comment.

Now THIS is the future of Prog! Love it!
Yeah!
Yess this IS fantastic
A futuristic masterpiece I’m here for it
This one just gets stuck in my head, especially the main killer synth riff when the song kicks in....
That guitar solo!!! Mitchell always brings controlled chaos to his solos. Melodic shred at its best!
I think that's a Jem special 🤔
It is all Jem. Apparently John isn't on it at all.
Of course Mitchell's signature.
Wow, surprisingly heavy for a Frost* track. Love it!
This EP might be the most exciting part of my year so far
Very Spock's Beard like, love it!
That's exactly what it sounds like, yeah.
Sorry but those compositions since 10 years are top top top ..really very inspired of Manu things BUT really inspired ..the chords ,the textures ,etc ,all IS GREAT LEVEL !!from France
Incredibly refreshing! Almost sounds like a Devin Townsend cameo there towards the end. Super stoked for this EP.
So sick! I'd love to see either Frost or Lonely Robot at some point tour in the USA. Loving this style lately!
Friggin awesome!!!! Frost's just gonna save the year! 🤟
If the Eurovision song contest would be a Prog song, well, there we have it.
A sucker punch of sonic beauty!
amazing music
Absolutely love this.
大好き!
A genre defying samplebased progressive glitchcore metal midtempo banger? Consider me in!
What a great EP!!! Please never stop making music
I brought Postcard and Dividing Line together and made this an album.
😅
Blimey! That blew the wax out of my ears! Storming.
Sounds like a follow up to Tower Block....Maybe this should be called "Attack The Tower Block" :-P
Noticed that.
I can't wait!!! I need More Frost*!!
WOW! I just bought the EP - it's fantastic!
Me too, on iTunes.
Very good stuff they brought!
Sounds pretty fresh.
Anyone digging this should listen to 'moving backwards' by wheel, it's a super good album with similar themes and tone to this song thoughout.
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻👍👍👍👍
Whoa! Never heard of these dudes. This was great!

@@stelvak Yeah. Found it here on YT. You can download through their bandcamp webpage. It's a good tune!
Heard it on their SoundCloud months back.. It's a banger ❤️

The Crazy Gang have smashed it again. One day we may get to hear this live.....I sure fecking hope so. Go Frost* :-)
New Frost* songs?! Oh yeah!!
There they go!
Dam good way to start the day....hits all my gritty prog needs.
Frost* hits a Limit Break on a Friday. And there was much rejoicing!!
New Frost*! Awesome!
Sounds fantastic. Fresh Frost
Now properly awake, 3 cups of super strong sumatran coffee and this! Can't wait guys!
Awesomeness !!!
Fantastic new song
Woah, didn't expect that haha! I like it actually, electronica and prog go hand in hand if done well. Progdigy? Sure, I'll take it!
Can't stop to listen!
Yes!!
Frost* are quite “out there.” I like it
Indeed! You probably heard this but I am seeing you everywhere haha, love your taste man! And ofc, amazing profile pic, revisited Triangle recently, still brilliant!
Prodigy meets prog!!!
Fookin eh, bloody brilliant!
This is a trip at 50% speed
Wow ! I feel like I've been slapped hard in my face ! And I've liked it !
AMAZING BAND... what an amazing surprise last day! :)

Sick song.
Wow
Great Track!!
Frost in hardcore-mode! :)
For some reason I was convinced these guys had been disbanded. Glad to be wrong! Crazy as ever 😉
SICK!
Nice!
Woooohhh!
What just happened?!!!
Holy shit.
this reminds me of the apex theory.
We dont deserve frost
...and the kitchen sink was the only thing left behind.
After repeated listens I'm not so sure that isn't in there as well :)
When?
What's the effect on the solo at 3:15?
is that a gazpacho - molok rising sample at 2:18 or did they just sample the same thing a few years earlier?
Good ear
Checked out that album because of this comment, and I'm really glad I did. Super cool stuff.
Same
Maybe jem has decided to defrost frost, hope theres more
Not at all what I was expecting. Maybe it'll grow on me.
Is that Devin Townsend at the end?
No.
Porcupine Tree is that you?
This is a joke right
@@BillyCrawshrimp I don't remember anymore. Relistening to this, I don't think it sounds anything like porcupine tree except the drum patterns are similar to Gavin Harrison.
Ammatesiri Frost* what happened to you?
no thanks
Sounds more like SKrillex or Pendulum than Frost, I don't like this at all
