If I know the shape of the room I'm walking into, I'll be able to deal a lot better with whatever awaits inside. It's the reason why I usually do my first playthroughs of this type of game on an easier difficulty before tackling the hardest one.

Console Peasant here. I played this game for the first time recently, and while I'm not playing on No Pain No Gain, I am playing on a high enough difficulty to see Shadow Ninjas pretty early (Who Wants Wang). One thing I noticed is that shadow ninja's have a windup animation when they get ready to launch that fireball attack at you (an example is at 8:47. Turn the playback speed own and watch the Shadow Ninja. He'll take a throwing stance right before he launches the line of fire at Civvie). Its the same one the Brown Pants Ninja's use when they get ready to toss shuriken at you. Also, I'm 99% sure that Shadow Ninja's can toss flash bombs at you.

The coolies, the female warriors, the ninjas, they all are demons. Guess that's why the reboot of Shadow Warrior also had demons in the entire story. A tip for the railgun, for some reason it doesn't shoot straight unless you have auto aim on.
I was forced to turn autoaim off to preserve my honor. It makes dealing with bees the worst.
Damn that sounds rough, they're a pain even with auto aim on. I usually just use fists or just say fuck it and nuke them lol

A recent update to BuildGDX fixed the weird Railgun offset.
I recommend playing through that rather than the official source port.
