The mines are invisible due to the Redux source port. The voxels/sprites were placed under the ground, which renders just fine in the game's original software renderer, but in Redux, they're completely invisible because of the OpenGL renderer's more accurate (but less faithful and unintended) clipping.
8:59 Glitch explanation time! This happened because of a weird design quirk of the Build engine where sectors are able to inhabit the same X/Y coordinates - if a linedef from one sector overlapped another sector, the game engine would simply accept whichever sector was currently rendered as the 'correct' sector for the player to be in. Sometimes occasionally the player will rub against the wall of one of those sectors and the game will become 'confused' as to which sector is the active one, dropping the player into the 'incorrect' sector. In this case, the 'incorrect' sector was an underwater sector (which in the Build engine are just normal sectors which trigger a flag to make the player float to simulate swimming and color their vision blue when the player enters it). Since the player didn't enter the sector in the normal fashion from a 'entering water' state, the "underwater" flag was never triggered and Lo Wang was subject to all the normal laws of gravity, hence being dropped from the top of the sector to his death.
I've encountered this bug in Aleph One games too, it also being a portal renderer. Normally it only happens with parallel halls of identical shape, 5D space sectors optional, like the central AI chambers in episode 1 of Marathon Eternal X Omega 1.2. Yes, Eternal's most recent update is a bit of a mouthful so most just call it Eternal X 1.2.

That's MY kind of ninja!
13:00 Since this channel seems to deal with old games from like the 90s, Civvie did you own a Virtual Boy since the music is from Wario Land (underwater version)?
"Amble around in pants shitting terror" Good lord I haven't laughed that hard in forever!
11:20 if you press x to alt fire mode that machine gun it’ll run continuous not stop after four shots every time.
Reminder that ninjas historically used guns, although that was when guns went "fwoosh" and not "bang"
Me: * Watches almost halfway through video *
RUclips app: I’ve never seen this video in my life.
[creating_dump] the sfx on top of this just fucking broke me 10/10
Wow gotta say watching these last few Pro Wang episodes has me nostalgic AF.
I bought the redux and it’s good. W/out a mouse it’s not great but fun! Thnx from the future
You should totally do Blood next, or Wanton Destruction. Why not? Rumor has it that if you want to claim yourself as a pro wang, you must beat all content!
"here this will help you on your mission "
does not hand over a simple gun does not hand over a second med kit no thats amateur items
SHE GIVES YOU A FRACKING NUCLEAR WARHEAD FOR YOUR ROCKET LAUNCHER
now thats some firepower right there
What about the scarce Shadow Warrior expansion/map packs?
Does anyone know the first FPS that put the gun not in the center but more towards the right side?
Was it that Star Wars: Dark Forces?
Does ANYBODY know how to fix the terrible mouse wheel weapon switching in Redux??? If I bind weapon switching to keyboard buttons it works just fine, and switches accurately and quickly, but scrolling with the mouse wheel requires several scrolls to finally change to the next weapon. It drives me nuts. The new version of Blood doesn't have this problem, but this game and Duke 3D World Tour both do.
Your edits make me happy. Especially the Bio Menace one.
At 1:30 in the background... is that an ad for Slayers? Ha! Sweet!
Not to be greedy but... Pro Wang Wanton Destruction and Twin Dragon when?
that's a nice Slayers billboard 1:36
Are you planning on doing the expansions Civvie? Been a long time since these videos.
Lol that spontaneous Blade Runner Moment out of nowhere. This is why I love this channel.
Wow, I had forgotten how god-awfully miserable this game was. I guess 9 year old me had a higher tolerance for bullshit. I wish I could send 9 year old me to my job.
Thank you for "Weebery".
Lani Manelli voiced all the girls in Shadow Warrior, man she voices everything.
