What kit you use for the 440 ? I’m thinking about doing a Big bore on my 05 ltz but the Athena Big bore is 435cc
@@albertomarquez4186 I got the JE kit, forged high comp piston. If you really want to commit port and polish the head too. That set up with all the mods I listed before and you would be runnin some impressive numbers!

Looked like a Yoshi header. and whoa that thing is powerful.
Header is stock but painted with special heat resistant paint so it look nice and dont rust like stock one
I recently bough a ltz 400 2013 and it has a yoshimura pipe it farts well hihi

Yep, it can beat any stock 450s in drag race. It has stock cams so it has much bot to mid power and tons of torque. It cant be compared to stock LTZ 400

How'd u get a 460 kit? I could only find a 434 kit
You have to combine 434 with stroker crank
@@andyrosa3560 that's expensive, not worth it for me. But my engine is hard to start but after it's started it runs perfectly I did valves and all so I'm thinking jetting.
Did you ever have any overheating problems with the big bore?
No problems with stock cooling system, even during slow trail riding.

I have had my 440 2003 ltz since 2009 and beat it to death on regular. Now after to many hrs to count imma have to rebuild top end. Just get athena pay extra they have bigger cooling passages and forged pistons its worth the extra for reliabilty. I cant complain with mine giving out on me after yrs of abuse. Just change oil reg the usual . those 150$ kits woulda poped yrs ago

What about gearbox ، stock?
Yea, it is. I don´t know if that was only in my case, but swingarm chain tensioning system just can´t hold that torque and chain often get loose. Using bigger washers under bolts helped. You definitely have to upgrade chain guard so when chain fall off it won´t destroy shift lever. That happened me twice. Once I have to change engine case and the second time i just velded it. Stupid design...

Not only that big bored ltz’s idle hella high otherwise they like to die out on you
