I have watched almost every video of Russell's journey. I have watched how he has gone from doing vlogs in yoga poses, talking about what various tarot cards means to Christians, and since his baptism rejecting tarot and yoga to deciding which bible version is more trustworthy. I personally see the Holy Spirit slowly whittling away all the paganism to reveal who could be a very powerful disciple of Christ. It truly is a beautiful thing to watch the Holy Spirit at work.
Not true. His last video had him in a yoga pose, using a tarot card as a bookmark, and comparing The Bible to a book written by a man who embraces same s*x marriage. Brand is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

In my early 20's I moved into a Zen Buddhist meditation center I was desperately seeking a deeper truth than what I saw around me in culture even in Christian culture. I was depressed, had come from an alcoholic family, and I was very lost. I participated in a 3-month silent winter retreat at the monastery, and in the middle of this retreat, 3:30 in the morning, saying a Buddhist mantra, I had a "vision" of Jesus Christ, his face on the cross. It was so mindblowing, absolutely everything stopped. It was not just a vision, but a very real presence, like the most ancient memory I had ever had. I KNEW this was my God, my Lord, my greatest friend, my most ancient teacher and beloved..... I began hearing knowledge, which is too much to say here. God saved me in a Buddhist temple! I had been seeking TRUTH, and truth came to me in the face of Jesus Christ. His presence has remained with me all these years, and his love and wisdom through the Holy Spirit guides me through this insane world, keeping me solid in God's peace. I love him so much. Thank you for listening, may everyone reading this be blessed. . . .

Jordan Peters isn't yet saved. He is however open. I hope and pray that God will draw him finally and ultimately to Christ in a saving way.
Re: Russell Brand I'm waiting to see the fruit myself and am still reserving judgement. It may well be that he is genuinely saved now but I have seen and heard about many who have so called "made a commitment to Christ" only to find they're caught up with false doctrine or have soon after gone back into the world and weren't genuine. Prayer as you say is needed. 🙏
Whatever it is, it is real. After 60+ years as an Atheist, I found God, and am finding Jesus.

Be patient; stay humble; ask questions; get confused; pray for guidance; praise God for the difficulty of the journey and the illumination he will certainly bring; Christ is present everywhere…even in Old Testament. You are never alone.

That's the problem with alot of these pastor RUclips channels; if a new Christian doesn't have IMMEDIATELY perfect theology the second they become a Christian = fake conversion.

Returned to Christ 2022 after a devastating cancer diagnosis. Cried out that this was too much and He came and lifted me up. A year later, I had my annual scan (no op or chemo yet) and there was no sign of disease. I’ve now given my life to Him and things have dramatically changed in my life.

Jesus Christ is real, I pray everyone finds Him and follows Him. This life can be incredibly empty and depressive without Him. I speak from experience. Nothing can make us feel whole and happy besides Christ.

I tried all of the broad roads, all of the highs, and all of the hedonistic means available, and after a lifetime of seeking life in a dead man's shoes, I came to Christ. My testimony shocks a lot of people who've been raised Christian, but it sure lands hard on anyone willing to give it a listen. Praise God for His amazing grace!
@spiritman-em4qr Why is your testimony shocking? I am curious. In my opinion there is no „perfect way“ to connect with Jesus. We all came from different startpoints. I don’t believe, that Jesus will leave one behind with an open heart and the will to walk with him…… „perfect Christian or lousy, messy human.

Sounds very similar to my own testimony. Christ grabbed a hold of me during a rock bottom I had brought on myself after over a decade of hedonism and selfish living, and degeneracy. I became a Christian and was baptized at 31 and nothing was ever the same again. Praise God!

I didn't go to church much and only read the Bible the few times I did attend church. Neither did my parents - I was raised confused. I went through a bit of mysticism and the world and found nothing. So I turned to the Bible and found Everything I Ever Needed.

I was a VERY dedicated Christian in my earlier teen years. I started having questions and the church would answer some and couldn’t answer others. It got to the point where they told me to quit asking questions or the whys in everything because it will lead you astray. That it would create doubt in my heart.
I can see why they told me that but at the same time I felt if Jesus was the truth, there HAD to be answers to everything. So there was that tension. I stopped asking them and started asking Catholic scholars questions and realized how different their beliefs were and just began to question more and more. Then my dad died, my only other support in my immediate family when it came to my faith. It crushed me. Only 4 people came from my church (keep in mind that I was HEAVILY DEDICATED, serving at the church everyday, if not serving, praying and teaching Bible study). My pastor didn’t show to the funeral and that kind of hurt. Never said anything tho. Two weeks later, I get a call from him telling me that I should take my naked pictures off from Facebook (I am a bodybuilder, they are not naked picture. I was one of the top teens in American bodybuilding at the time). It angered me because I thought he was calling to check up on me and send me his condolences for my loss. From there I told him how I felt he went about my “naked pictures” the wrong way and that for his 40+ years in the ministry he should know better, that there’s a time and a place for these things and he did not like that and went off on me. We were going back and forth in dispute with one another. Next day I had several people unfollow me from FB. Decided to part way. I was only 19. Decided to pursue philosophy on my own and came to the conclusion that there was no god. I was an atheist/agnostic and as of late I’ve been reevaluating everything. For many reasons. Too much to type. But pray for me, I am open again. I’ve prayed but I feel like a fake because deep inside I still struggle with disbelief. If you gotten this far, thanks. I don’t talk about this often.
Christians and non-Christians alike are always very blind to themselves when they signal virtue but do not look at their transgressions. It is good that you told your pastor that there is a right time and a wrong time to preach virtue and surely he chose the wrong time when he did not have the decency to condole with you on the death of your father. I had a similar experience that had nothing to do with the church, but with a friend who got upset with me but didn't ask how I was doing after my mum died. We didn't speak for five years after that argument, until recently. It shows me that it's good not to shy away from conflict, much better than remaining speechless.
We all struggle and have doubts. Only the insane has no doubt at all. When Christians tell you that they are always without doubt or anxiety, I do not believe it. Even Jesus was struggling with despair. Why would any of us do not?
We are far too educated to be like children. We know too much, we've seen too much. If anything, the task seems to me to become unafraid of death. That, I would say, the belief in God offers the self. To become serene about ones mortality and free from the sadness in having to die. I think it's a life long endeavor. From Buddhism I learned that there is no enlightenment "once and for all". But I am not a Buddhist, I was raised Christian and find back to my roots. I find it is no contradiction to say that I believe in God, while I know at the same time that it is also a coping mechanism. I find it rational to believe in something greater than me. If only, to keep me away from arrogance and insanity.

@ziquefitness9708 It sounds to me like you are in a good place, because you're now open to God. What will you seek & who will you listen to? Conflicts happen in life & even in churches. It's how we respond to them that determines our future. Wanting to please others is okay, but isn't the point that Christian's actions should please God? So our greatest call is to be a disciple of Christ. Didn't you see some selfless love & demonstrations of Jesus' Agape' love while you attended your church and/or in parents, grandparents, or a friend? For me, I saw this in my granddad as a 4 & 5 year old. I intuitized that he knew God & I wanted what he had. At 13, I was intently reading John, seeking God & struggling with my selfishness, sinfulness & emptiness. Romans says that sin pays the wages of death, but the (amazing!) free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Seeking & experiencing God includes genuinely forgiving anyone & everyone who has offended us (as Jesus said in the Lord's Prayer) so be sure that you include, or have included, your former pastor. For me, in the summer of 1968 I heard a sermon by Billy Graham on TV, went to my room & again, asked Jesus to come into my heart. Then it happened... with forgiveness, love, peace & joy. I said to Him, "God You are real!" He both transformed me then & has also gradually has changed me. He's met every need I ever had. I discovered what my granddad had & this is available to everyone who seeks God with their whole heart, as the bible says. I pray that the living Christ will bless you in your journey & grant you complete assurance of your faith.
Faith is within your heart. Doubt is in the world, outside of you and constantly clamoring for a place within you.
Men often uses religion to good own ends. Religious dogma odd one of the things Christ spoke about most disparagingly.
I stumbled upon Russell Brands channel a few years ago and have prayerfully watched him come to The Lord❤️🔥. It has been incredible to witness and so uplifting watching the scales fall from his eyes. Keep praying for him, he's in a vulnerable place and needs our support not to backslide or lose his way. 🕊️✌️💕

Grew up non religious, played around with drugs and alcohol, tried zen, tried self improvement, found my feet with Jesus.
This is my testimony: I once was lost, but now I’m found. I was also raised in Christianity and it became just another way of life. I didn’t know Jesus. I searched through philosophical means, the reason for my life. I delved into the occult and the eastern mysticism religions. I was lost. In the dark, addicted, depressed, following the world. I was in my late 40’s when I found Jesus. Prodigal son/daughter. With open arms he brought me in and I’ve never been the same. I will praise his name forever on this side of heaven until I make it to the kingdom of God. ❤Praise his holy name, Hallelujah!!

Why does he call him Jesus Christ? That was not his name, so many people think his last name is Christ it’s amazing how many people pray to a man who they have not made any effort to learn about

He never claimed to heal anyone in fact he said “your faith has healed you” , I feel there’s more questions than answers and the New Testament wasn’t written for 300 yrs after his death and they excluded some books, why is the EGO so evident in people that speak about religion? I think being spiritual is the way not following different types of groups all who claim to be the way

We see in part, it’s the best we can do. We certainly can’t see the heart. While on the surface it seems faith in christ is weak. I’m seeing waves of truth flooding that nation. Russel is just one example. Every nation is under assault, every person, and soul. It’s got some great headlines, but don’t be fooled. God never needs headlines, satan does. Even for just propaganda that he’s winning. That’s the great clue he’s still losing. Only the fool believes the liar. Since he claims to be winning, he therefore must be terribly loosing in reality. That’s the good news! We win!
The Holy Spirit can move in anyone in any religion or atheist but they don’t realise it’s actually Christ’s spirit, our God & Saviour.

Same here! I feel into the lust of the world for about 17 years. Drinking, sex, drugs, etc.. recently came back to Christ and quit everything. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ ❤😊

I think Russell is fresh out of that new age religion. He's still tied to it, so hopefully it falls away as he learns who Jesus really is through God's word. A lot of people have their own ideas about God, but God is very clear about who he is in the word. As long as people honestly seek him, they will find the truth. They just have to get over themselves first.

@Samnoid That's what you get when reading about God?!? God isn't an Almighty murderer. God is Love and if you choose to separate yourself from Him..He will allow you to do just that. He also will give you eternal life thru the cross. So since God is love He has to be wrath or else He can't be Holy
@@Samnoid, God is merciful, patient, gracious, and He is the source of love and all that is good. And, yes, He is a God who judges unrepentant sìn, and if He didn’t judge the wicked, He wouldn’t be a loving, just and righteous God. His name is the LORD Jesus Christ.
Perfect by no means, always felt not of this world and searching. Was being called, but the call was muffled by my sin.. And then that day EVERYTHING was different what I saw in things that at one time seemed ok, good or harmless. My view of what's good is exponentially different. I'm. Convicted daily, sometimes more than that. I've caught myself saying " it's really that simple" it's all there in front of me... In Writing! Thank you Lord for your good word! So joyful my heart was softened.

The most interesting point for me was when you said, at the age of 30, you swept the table clean and took a look at Christianity again. Was it you sweeping the table clean or was there a moment when the Lord touched your heart in such a way that it made you turn around and sweep the table clean? This is not an insignificant thing. When I wanted my life to end and prayed that God would take me out of my miserly, my prayer suddenly changed and I started to pray that if there was more suffering that I should endure for His sake, that I was willing to suffer. My life has never been the same since and now, even in my suffering, I am filled with joy knowing I have a future and a hope. My prayer is that both these gentlemen will cling to the hope that is in Christ and humble themselves before Him.
Yes! I grew up a christian and thought I was one. I had an experience about 3 months ago where I died to myself. I Cried out to God that I was ready to take the punishment for all my sins and have my life torn apart. Instead all I received was His love and grace and mercy. Chains of addiction immediately fell off! I AM a new person! So excited and grateful and AMAZED at how it could happen. Something I prayed for in the past and something I wanted, but I had to DIE to myself. I had to completely surrender to God and instead of receiving his wrath, I was made more alive than I've ever been.
I really appreciate this common thread of “familiarity breeds contempt.” It helps me while I’m watching my kids fall away to know that this is a necessary step for them to build a lasting and enduring faith.
Never stop praying and never lose hope. Jesus won’t lose a single sheep, even if they stray for a season.
Praying for his walk with the Lord to be strong and real. May the Lord use Russell, Jordon and all the others who have found total emptiness in the riches of this world and joy of salvation!
I relate to this so much. Rejected Christianity, atheist, agnostic, new ageism, hedonism, Buddhism, drugs. I found nothing at the end of those paths. Surrendered to Christ in despair and my life has changed drastically for the better.

worth it' ..... but He said 'I love you'. and died! Don't know how long I cried first in shame

I grew up Christian and in the church, my parents took us every Sunday, I asked to be saved at 4 years old, I never completely stopped going to church. But I always felt like I was missing out on something from the world and so when I left my parents I experienced the world. I never let Christianity be the main focal point of my daily life until I reached the lowest point in my life while living in sin. I realized I was lied to about the world and that nothing made me happy except Christ Jesus. Alcohol/weed, sex, parties, etc. was all a lie. None of it made me feel happy, it only made me feel disgusted with myself.
Once I came sprinting back to Jesus and gave my life back to Him and truly dedicated my daily life to God then everything changed. I met my amazing wife who was compassionate and forgiving about my past. We just had a beautiful baby boy by the gift of God opening my wifes womb.
Jesus Christ showed me that doing things on my terms and living for satisfaction gave me no meaning, but when I lived my life on Gods terms for our triune God then everything changed and I have never been happier.
I am sanctified and saved by the Blood of the our risen Messiah. May He return soon.

I was raised in a fundamentalist Christian group and sincerely tried to follow the Christ I was taught, however I was always struggling with fear, anxiety, and sin. Finally, almost two years ago after spending 40+ years reading my Bible and seeking God I finally understood the fullness of the Gospel that it is all in the finished work of Christ. I have finally been saved! It is incredible and transformative. I pray that this is what both Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand have discovered.

I have a similar testimony as Russell. Long before I got saved, I found that this world gave me no satisfaction. No matter what I did it left me empty. I believed in God but I certainly didn't know Him. Whether he truly understands his need of what Christ did for him on the cross is between him and Christ. I hope to God he is genuine. I hope to God he truly understands his need of Christ taking his sins away. The simplicity of salvation through Christ (true biblical Christianity) is its own worst enemy. All the religions of the world claim that they are the way. But when you examine one key component of all of them, they all say that you have to do something to earn your way (works) to win God's approval and to enter the kingdom of Heaven. If that were the case, and we could somehow earn our way to heaven, Christ would have never had to die on the cross. So then what does God require of us in order to be saved? FAITH.... Not faith in ourselves and our works. Or faith in a religion or religious practices and traditions... Faith in the finished work of the Cross of Christ. That's it! Trusting that God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy his anger against us. It's that simple people. 🙏

The Book of Judges is more important than many people realize.
Societies nowadays go through the same cycle that the Israelites did all those years ago:
- Be blessed and prosperous as a reward for faithfulness and strong adherence to God's commands
- Over time, become distant from God and begin to engage with sin more and more
- Fall fully into corrupt and sinful beliefs and actions, rejecting God and turning fully to the things of the world
- Lose the blessings and rewards that God gives, causing a loss of prosperity, comfort, and safety
- Cry out to God for forgiveness and return to Him, restarting the entire cycle
We are entering the final stage, where people are beginning to realize just how important God is to a prosperous, long-lasting society.
Our country has been made into a ruin of its former self, and many people are beginning to notice how false the world's promises of Godless prosperity and equality were.
I know a lot of people do not like dr Peterson, but i have a lot of respect for him.

I have seen a few RUclipsrs that I watch become Christians and they did not go to church. They say he came to them and they started following him. We need to do our part sharing Jesus with the world, but he will also show up and change peoples lives. With Russel I think we need to pray for him to stay on the path.
When I came full circle and back to Christ myself, the first year or a little more I didn't go to a church. I read and listened to the Bible being read in it's entirety. I didn't want any influence from a denomination without having any chance of having heard the biblical context, especially as I have seen more and more from podcasts just how corrupted many churches have become.
He does need our prayers so very much. We don’t see the whole story so we can’t judge either

So powerful “you arrive and there is nothing there”. This is exactly the realization I came to a few days ago as a I abruptly decided to leave all new age practices (didn’t know it was new age and found out 7 years later), and began reading the Bible with a desire to know Jesus. I was being prepared however for about 2 years before this. During all of the years of searching and turning inward, I never found the peace or joy I was looking for and things fell apart more than they came together. Four days ago I finally felt the peace and an immense relief that I didn’t have to search anymore. These new age and mystical believes are not only toxic, they are straight out harmful. A week ago I would have never thought that I would be thinking or saying this but here I am, I am finally coming home. Because it does feel like coming home and God has been patiently waiting. I also found it so helpful what you said about the narrow path and the death of self (not physical death), since I am newly on this path. Thank God and thank you for a great video 🙌🏻

@@christabelleblue9901 That’s a valid question. Well I can only say from own experience and what I’ve learned, but yoga and meditation were the start of the journey with the mystical and loving myself. Meditation’s purpose is not only to quiet the mind but also to enter an altered state and connect with the mystical. My first meditation 10 years ago didn’t do much. But the more time went on, the more I would experience visions in my meditations and movements that came on their own. Alongside yoga, I picked up different books such as “the power of intention” and “you can heal your life”. I think what it naturally does (except for what many Hindus’ say that yoga is a type of worship to their gods and is religious, etc.) is that it takes you on the self-help path and into new age.
It’s rare that we’ll do yoga and meditate without becoming curious about the other things, such as new age beliefs. For example, there are teachings such as “you have everything you need inside of you”, “you attract what you are”, and “everything that happens to you is because of your own energy and/or karma”. It creates this notion that we can do it all alone, that we can manifest anything we want, and that we don’t really need anyone or anything outside of ourselves. All of this often leads to a constant search for healing, to be whole, and to dive into deeper practices. Some of those are shamanic journeys, cacao and ayahuasca ceremonies, psychedelics, crystals, etc. They are meant to be practices that help you be healed and feel better and to connect more with yourself and the divine.
But the problem isn’t only opening the doors to something mystical (which got scary for me the more I meditated and began feeling and seeing things), but also that it creates this belief with time that we are flawed and need more and more healing. Then we begin doing ancestral healing and people go to retreats where all sorts of things often happen (not at all of them). Then when we don’t feel better, or can’t manifest, or we attract bad things, we blame ourselves. It's very much about the self and it separates us from others because of the teachings that we can do it all on our own and we shouldn't need anything.
I was fortunate that I never took psychedelics and that my fear kept me going too far. Also, working with crystals is a type of magic. I am not saying that everyone will adapt the teachings and go deep into the mystical, but these things do open a door to other things to come through. Because when we meditate and do yoga, we automatically open ourselves up.
When I decided to leave it all, I can't tell you how relieved I felt. There are many ways we can calm our mind and exercise our body, like taking a walk in nature, doing a regular breathing technique, going to the gym, pilates, swimming. And regular therapy works, for example CBT was good for me.
What personally got me out of deep depression was faith and people.
This is only my experience and my thoughts on it but I wish I had done more research beforehand. All I can say that after years it made me feel empty and separated from people. There was also a lot of judgement towards those who didn't practice these things or believe what I believed. I think to go into these practices, it's good to go in with knowledge and open eyes. I hope this gives some insight and value and wish you the best on your journey ❤️

Also I see meditation as just soaking or centering prayer. It deepens a lot of Christians faith and there is a whole movement called holy yoga which is Bible based

3 hours before his baptism russell brand was playing with tarot cards, talking about something that "helped him" that he read from his meditation app earlier that morning, and yoga which makes this questionable to me. He also quoted buddha about rebirth comparing it to baptism a day prior...i dunno. What ive personally been noticing is conservatives with large platforms preaching a philosophical/gnostic Christ recently, a sort of delusion seemingly...not the living true God. Of all places that the bible has been such as hotels and hospitals, I recently went through 3 years of cancer treatment and being a follower of Christ, I had to ask for a bible. I had left mine at home and was waiting for my iodine to go through my system before some scans and the bible that was there last time was gone. I had brought a highlighter in my bag just to highlight some scripture in that Bible to show specific verses to someone who might be scanning through the bible. It was gone and I asked the nurse where the bible went and she said she would look for it for me. She came back and had the exact same one I had the week previously because I had folded specific pages back and recognized it. The bible is slowly disappearing from usual places which it has been for years. We must try to keep this going in these places that have been a beacon for Christ where people of need are usually attending and need access to this life saving book. I pray that people would read their bible and come to Christ and grow in Christ.
This is the best description of the basic concept of Christianity. Humility and dying to self. So easy to say but so hard to practice which is why we need the power of Christ in us.

What a pleasure to watch them come to faith and at the same time share their journey with us. Absolutely lovely!
Go through panic attacks 3x a day for 2 years and feel like you have betrayed God and have been cast out and you'll come running back to the feet of Jesus. God blessed me so much throughout by being able to distract myself with work from the ruminating thoughts that plagued me. This was 2006. I am grateful for that now as I look back and offer all my suffering to God to use as He sees fit. If you're going through this don't give up. Offer it up for conversions.
I feel what happened to me was a small sampling of what Jesus endured during the agony in the garden. I weep when i think of His suffering so much he shed blood. The attacks from satan and all the blasphemous voices of people of all history he heard. And His heart hurt from the hell those souls were going to.
Indeed, I have a similar story. I had OCD/scrupolosity and it was painful. Still have it too.
I used porn to run away from my addictions but it lead me closer and closer to Satan: solipsism, doubting biblical inerrancy, wondering if God was real. Instead of petitioning it to God, it felt like I was spiraling: desperate for control. After all of those difficulty years, God cared for me and reminded me that as I spiraled, He was patient and warm.
So I pray that you lift your panic attacks and anxiety to God, praying that your sinful flesh or Satan's attacks go away, and you get proper ways like therapy, medication, and ABSOLUTELY prayer. God allows us to suffer, and symphatizes with our sufferings.
Many who see Russell Brand as a mixed bag, to say the least, as a new christian convert needs to remember when we first became converts, and how wild we were then. As a celebrity, there's even more he needs to sort out as time rolls on. Just hope he's in a good church that will give him the proper care and discipleship he needs

Only God knows the hearts of man; it is not our place to decide or give an opinion. We will all stand before Christ one day and give an account of our earthly lives.
Here’s a thought that I just had:
To “die to self” is actually SO hard, that it can’t be done without the help of God. If you could “die to yourself” on your own, you would get the glory for it and your selfish/prideful cycle of being a “self made man” would continue. So before you’re able to die to yourself, I believe you have to first humble yourself or be humbled. Which many times takes a miracle or some type of traumatic event that really leaves you hopeless and deprived of any will to keep moving forward on your strength.
What the conversion process looks like to me:
Hopelessness/emptiness -> hear the true Gospel of Christ -> eyes opened -> repent of sin -> receive and believe Jesus -> die to self -> sanctification -> glorification
*definitely a lot more steps in this process that I’m forgetting* (please correct me if you think any of this is not based on scripture)

Well said. The one thing I would insert in your list is justification. Justification means that when we die to ourselves God sees us 'just as if we have never sinned'. This occurs when we are born again spiritually or put another way, our new birth. So, follow your list... die to self--> justification(new birth)--> sanctification(the process of)--> glorification(in heaven), etc. My conversion was a bit different because I was seeking God at 13 & struggling just as hard as an adult to die to myself as I viewed that as part of the Bible's requirements. Why was I motivated at such a young age to pursue God in Christianity? My grandfather was a man that was so close to the Lord that I intuitized that fact at the age of 5 & wanted to be free like him & know God the way he did. He died on my 6th birthday. Yet at 13, I struggled with my selfish nature, which the bible calls the flesh, for at least 6 months. I read the gospels & realized I was a slave of sin, but I think the sorrow of realizing Jesus made the greatest sacrifice in eternity for my sins by taking on spiritual death for me & then His dying by being separated from The Father kept pushing me to keep seeking Him. I hated the person I was. That summer, Billy Graham came on the TV. At the end, I went to my room & prayed again, confessing my sinfulness to Him & inviting Jesus into my heart. Then He came into me & suddenly I knew that God was real. I knew the truth that my Daddy K had. All the things I'd been looking for came into my soul... love, peace, joy & forgiveness took control. Jesus was & is the only one with power to save my soul. Because of Him I don't walk alone anymore. Now I can allow Him complete control & I am free, because He is real. If anyone wants real empowerment just read the book of John & find out who Jesus is. He wants you to discover Him more than you can imagine.

I got clean/sober 11/03/90. I didn’t get saved till 5/19/92.
I searched for meaning my whole life and discovered drugs/alcohol was a dead end, almost literally for me. I couldn’t stay clean and required a “higher power”to do it for me, literally. Not just help me, but do it for me, one day at a time.
I was so amazed at this miracle, that I started looking for the source and discovered it was Jesus all along. I found a little Baptist church that did “believer’s baptism” in a river for us AA members who didn’t have a home church.
I became a member of the Assembly of God for several years, often attending other denominations during their Revivals when we didn’t have church. I never thought any one church had a monopoly on God. I avoided JW & Mormons.
I guess I’m a Spirit filled Calvinist. Lol
I pray Jesus shows Himself to Russell in His Word and in his life and that well meaning Christians don’t run him off before he really gets started.

Wow Russel is on fire here, amen!! My father was an addict and he talks about how the 12 step program he went through back in the day was faith based. It was very instrumental in his walk with Christ. He even says he grew even closer to God in the 12 step program than in the church he grew up in every Sunday.

I think my parents were careful not to push church but always encouraged seeking God. I became serious about my faith on 2020, during Covid, still consider myself a baby in my faith.
This is very encouraging. My daughter like so many other adult children, has become very hostile to the faith she used to profess. There’s hope. And I sincerely hope Russell’s faith is genuine. Let’s watch him grow!
I like the analogy of wiping the table clean and starting over. I was raised a Christian and professed to be one my entire life. But I led a life for self and feel I am only starting to understand Jesus, Yeshua.

What do you mean by this? Because there is only 1 Truth and it is JESUS. So some one worshipping Buddha or Mohammed or Shiva do it have a Truth even tough they believe they do ..
@@anonyme3123 Even those who currently find themselves in a Buddhist or Hindu or Islamic cultural context and society, if they sincerely seek the Truth they will find Him. A perfect biblical example of this is found in the story of the incarnation, the wise men [Magi] from the east were gentiles, most likely zoroastrians, but their very quest for Truth led them to the very feet of baby Jesus, and they were prepared too, as they worshipped Him as king without having heard a word from Him, and despite NOT having grown up in a Jewish context that WAS expecting a Messiah. So, indeed, ALL truth leads to the Lord Jesus, because He is the Way, the Truth and the Life!
@@anonyme3123read the stories here of people having been in Buddhist temples and Jesus coming to them and showing them the way. If you are looking for the truth, the real truth Jesus will come to you and show you the way wherever you are. Thats what he meant. So many Muslims who actually read the Quran have been converted to Christianity because they were seeking the truth and found it lacking.

Well put! For me it wasnt familiar - I grew up with some occult teachings. So when I finally walked into this christian path by Gods grace, it was a whole new world, and it amazed me that people were so hostile toward my new journey - toward Christ. They all embrace "him" in the occult world - where he is nothing but a product of their own mind.
I myself rejected the bible in my old life without knowing it. I had adopted the worlds take on christianity. How arrogant I was.

My job of 35 years has required me to stay in a different hotel room every week.
During the first three decades I do remember finding a Bible in every nightstand by the beds.
However, as time goes by, I find more and more an empty drawer where once a bible was placed. These books have gradually been removed from hotel rooms - That says a lot.
Perhaps it’s just another outlet to censor His word in the attempt to keep the masses blinded to the truth?
I now carry my own small Bible, and in these rooms void of His presence, I exalt His word throughout my stay.

I think with his previous talks with Brand, he knows how far he can push and how honest he can be, which makes for the best interviews since people can just say what they want and aren't "feeling" their way through.

Everything makes so much sense now. I also tried many ways to find meaning including: weed, theater, buddhism, shamanism, music etc... Everything is empty in the end without Jesus Christ.
I pray for R. Brand 24:24 and also for you. I cannot speak to what others experience I can only speak from my own. It is refreshing to hear folks speaks so favourably about God. Not for a moment can I believe this is a fad I truly believe something happens to us that begins to change our hearts then we become thirsty for God.

Definitely a resurgence. I was an agnostic raised baptist by a lazy Christian family believing my grandma was only so insistent on going to church because she had lived so badly she feared what the God of the universe would do to her in death if she didn’t spend the rest of old age repenting, father was Muslim always pressuring me but thankfully never actually teaching me anything just expecting me to pick up a Quran myself and decide to be one. At 25 picked up the Bible after spending a decade talking to Christian’s about how I could never be one. Christian’s coming up to me in parks, on busses, at the gym regularly all trying to turn me to Christ and I would sit and talk with all of them saying “I wish I could believe in God but I can’t because I can’t believe man could even understand something as amazing as the creator of the universe let alone claim to know his plans for us” asking questions all the time not really looking for an answer and feeling vindicated whenever they like everyone before them didn’t have an answer. But at 25 I said “I’ll read the Bible just so that I can be more accurate in my arguments so that no one could ever say I didn’t read it so I don’t know”. I would flip to a random page even then thinking of a higher power who probably could make it so if it was important it would show up and being disappointed when I arrived in the middle of a story that made no sense without the former context. Later being pleasantly surprised at just how good of a book it is! As an avid reader the stories of the Bible were riveting. The story of betrayals had me on the edge of my seat even as I failed to know the greater stakes. Then one day laying on my bed I opened my heart to the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ and they actually showed up. I was enveloped in so much warmth and love and hope I was immediately wrecked by it and could never go back. I spent weeks sobbing randomly whenever I thought about that feeling and realized it was true, it had always been true, he had been waiting for me and all this time I turned my back on him. All this time claiming to have been begging for him and never once truly opening my heart and even after all that when I did finally turn around and open the door there was nothing but love there. In regards to this being a revival I can say absolutely the Holy Spirit is moving because there was no man on earth that could convince me to be Christian and yet in the end I took no convincing at all! That same month I called back home to shyly share the news with people I was sure would be shocked and full of questions only to find out my little sister who had been until then practicing witch craft and my younger brother who was as lost as anybody had come to Christ at the same time. I came home and another lost sheep friend of mine had also come to Christ and we started to go to church. So many at the same time who hadn’t even been looking for Christ but were found by him and brought home. I see so many young pastors too all so anointed and well spoken I thought they must have been preaching from birth only to find out none of them had even known the lord before 2020! A revival is happening pray for your friends and your family that they may also be encountered by the light. Pray for yourself that you don’t fall away in the great falling away.
