    Eric mi amigo! This is insane! We love seeing the Wicked models in this scale! They look massive and imposing, we love how the texture looks! Congratulations, you knocked it out of the ballpark!

      Thanks Mike. Would love to paint the 1/3 and it's available if anyone is interested. But things were sorted out and I'll be painting it in 1/4 next. Either way it'll be killer 👍 Appreciate it. big things coming 😎🤘

    Damn that is a pretty sick piece minus some of the fitting issues but optimistic print for sure . I love beast, I ordered that new Iron Studios beast quarter scale on the tree, such a sick character, can’t wait to see this all painted.

      Yeah I don't even collect Marvel and I want one 😁 This thing is really impressive in person. Excited to paint him. 👍
      The fitting issues by the way are common with 3D printing..it just needs prep work. Everything will fit perfectly before getting painted 👍

    Hey man. So you did this at 1/3 scale. What was that sized up to in the slicer? I know 1/4 is about 150% was this a 200% ? Thanks

    • @itsallthingsart
      @itsallthingsart  11 месяцев назад +1

      I did not print this one..I'm just painting it. But apparently it was scaled to 150% so the wicked model might be bigger than its usual 1/6 setting.

    How many printers do you run for theses large models? I have one Elegoo Jupiter SE which is one of their largest and something this scale still takes a while to print in sections .

    • @itsallthingsart
      @itsallthingsart  11 месяцев назад

      I'm still on a small MonoX lol compared to what's available now. It's been a while since I've printed something myself. I want to keep the focus on painting so I've been outsourcing print jobs for now if needed. But most of my customers usually already have their stuff printed elsewhere. Which in this case was a mistake. Lots of clean up needed on the base from being poorly printed. I would have printed the base (minus the sub base) all in one piece. And it would have been the correct scale at 1/4. Currently working with the print guy getting it corrected.

    Hi Eric B, that looks nice, I can only imagine how much better it's going to look after a paint job. I recently saw another Beast that look pretty good as well. I hope you fet to paint it. I'm going to Gmail you I need a heads sculpt repair. 👍

    Do you use acrylic mediums on your prints? If so, can you make a video on how and what to use properly? I can only find videos on how to use it on a canvas

    • @itsallthingsart
      @itsallthingsart  11 месяцев назад

      Not that often. I usually buy transparent acrylics or use ink washes when building up layers of color. But I did just get in an order of different mediums to try so yes I'll definitely include that in a video 👍 Thanks.

      @@itsallthingsartthanks. I'm about to work on my sixth 3D print- Saint Walker. I saw a picture of a glowing effect and was told it could work.

    • @itsallthingsart
      @itsallthingsart  11 месяцев назад

      Ok yep.. for glowing effects I normally buy transparent paint already mixed. But yes it's the same as adding a medium. You just want to make sure you're using a quality brand as some dilute the paint too much and you'll lose the intensity/vibrancy of the color. Golden makes a good medium without disrupting the pigment of the paint as well as Vallejo. Or if you're into Createx paints (personally I don't like the way they spray) but they also make their own transparent medium. Or if you're into spraying enamel, Mr Color has a great selection of color clear coats.

    I’ve always wanted to try something like this but it can get expensive so I’m kind of nervous to try it out.

      If you sell or gift a few prints overtime it pays for itself. But Resin printing is extremely hazardous..it needs its own ventilated space and proper safety gear. It's fun, but needs to be treated with caution 👍

  • @cgalvin123

    Do you have a video on clear coating with acrylic paint?

    • @itsallthingsart
      @itsallthingsart  11 месяцев назад +1

      Kind of...it's mixed in throughout all my videos. Depending on the project/surface, it changes based on my goals. So it's a little in depth. But no not an individual video. But I like that idea, I have tons to share on the subject so definitely will do that in a future video! Thanks for watching.
      Briefly I use a combination of spray cans or hobby varnishes both by brush and airbrush. So depending on where I need to spray (and it alters from locations both big and small) I like Krylon Flat spray can.. that's mostly what I use on everything.. sometimes in a Satin. Or I have hobby store bottled varnishes for both airbrush application and by brush/hand. I'll go more in depth on a dedicated video. Thanks again.

      Some parts.. similar to any regular statue cast.. this one was printed pretty thick so it's definitely got nice weight to it.
