  • 4 Chirp Scratch Tips // ADVANCED SCRATCH DJ TUTORIAL
    The chirp scratch is considered one of the fundamental scratches. Despite this, it can be hard to come by more interesting combos than the usual chirp flares, 2 click chirp flares, Joe Cooley's, etc. Because of this, I decided to share some combo's I've picked up over the years,
    Shout outs to Kutclass, Symatic, and ErikUK for showing me them in the first place

    As other people are also pointing out. This is the best scratch channel when you already know the basics like babys, transformers, chirps etc. Thanks for taking the time talking to time explain everything while giving examples without wasting anybody’s time. I like your own personal input as well!

    as usual another great one! loving these new style videos you've been doing. Very well produced. Also really funny and cosmic I'm currently working on moving away from the usual repetitive chirps and adding more rests. keep it up

      Thanks a tonne! it's hard to stay focused on one topic. Especially in a niche one like scratching... Starting to get itchy feet again but I will keep posting scratching content for sure.

    wow! Chirps variations, Dj Hype and Eric Uk - all three my favorites. I have gone hard to Eric videos and listen to the Hype scratching for the last 3 months. They are so dope. And your channel too :)) Top-notch production!
    I have 3 questions about this video:
    1. Tear Flare is similar to reverse OG flare? Basically, it is a reverse OG flare with a pause on backward movement, am I right?
    2. Dj Hype chirp - is it reverse chirp with the release?
    It would be great to have a little bit of a quick slow-down explanation of the techniques you've mentioned in the video. You perform them perfectly and fast, so sometimes it understands that movement:)
    3. Eric UK - how is he doing now? His last video was uploaded 3 years ago :(

    • @SiHargreaves
      @SiHargreaves  3 года назад +2

      1. Yeah man exactly. You actually tear st the same time as a click but it sounds different
      2. Yup on the back pull. It changes the timing slightly but allows you to do releases in your chirp phrases.
      3. Not seen Eric for ages unfortunately! He stopped coming to all the jams and everything 😭

    Chirp og flares are the only scratch combos that come out as default for me lol. Backwards og flares chirps. Then i can think about what to do next.

    are you the same si from skratchlounge a long time ago? i used to hit up all these skratch forms before, stanton boards, ttnn, asisphonics, skratchlounge, ibc, but seems like they all died out, even checked out digital vertigo forum but never we active.

    • @SiHargreaves
      @SiHargreaves  3 года назад

      Hey man, don't think so no. I used to hang out on DV as dooban before Steve went mental and kicked everyone off. Shame that one died off, I think forums are a great way to interact as everything gets immortalised.

      You want to look up battle records and can get special records with them all on. The classic label is dirt style records and more recently cut n paste records or turntable training wax

    Dude I appreciate what you’re attempting to do here but, all these scratches that you’ve listed were ALL originally done by DJ Cash Money as far back as ‘83/‘84. Please go back and review. The history needs to be told accurately. There are enough old mix tapes of Cash to prove this point. Thanks

    • @SiHargreaves
      @SiHargreaves  Год назад

      Ya fair enough. Have you got names of the mixtapes you're on about? Would love to check em out.
