Thank you so much for this tutorial ! My machine was stuck in a boot loop and could not get past a certain boot state. Your method worked flawlessly on my Asus X99 motherboard. I had to take out the CMOS Battery as well for a minute or so to reset the whole thing but after that my BIOS came back to life ! After asking a lot of so called "Specialist" repair stores in my town, who could not find the cause of the problem (but telling me to buy a new mobo..) nor considering flashing the bios chip, i was able to fix it myself, thanks to you ! Now everything is back to normal.
Thank you man. This helped so much. Already done dozens of recoveries and programmed to the same or new chips.

@@erra4electronics I made a backup of my PC bios using universal bios backup toolkit, it saved my backup as a rom file, how do I extract information of serial number, MAC address etc. into the newest bios file from ASUS cap file, I converted the cap file to bin file anyway!
i have the CH341A programmer anyway, I am trying to keep a bin file to flash my bios chip if anything goes wrong if i update my BIOS to the latest version!
