Not far off from how actual horse domestication went I imagine. Y'know.. minus the fact that a real wild horse would absolutely push someone's shit in if they tried to get on their back with no prompting.

Bedrock edition where the speeds of new horses remain faster and permanent if the parents have a potion effect like speed or jump boost

I believe this was also a bug on java at some point(shortly after horses were released i think), but i could be wrong
Unfortunately, as far as I know, this was fixed in bedrock edition

Fun Fact: The reason why stereotypical barns are red is because brightly colored paints were expensive back then. The only cheap color was red because all you needed to make that was rust mixed with standard white paint. Farmers did this so much that barns became associated with the color red.

Edit: you can breed horses effected by potions and the baby keeps the effects. therefore, you can get horses faster, and stronger with a higher jump height than the max

I remember in one of my minecraft worlds, I have a mule with GREAT health, he can jump four fences and a slab AND he's super fast.
Bedrock did have a bug where, you can splash horses with speed, breed them, and the result would be a baby horse with those potion effect stats, and you can stack this effect. I got my best horse to around 38 Blocks per second
Came for a cool horse (Dalek made a faster one) but stayed for the music that he made out of mob sounds.
yeah, Java horses cant compete with bedrock. Not with the old potions breeding glitch at least.

Inside of bedrock edition, I believe there is a bug that when you use a potion on two horses and then breed them. The effects are permanently on the child. So in creative mode if you give the horse speed 255 and breed them it’s pretty crazy.
