Wow! That looked amazing! I also noticed the nice touches from the chef. Placing a finger on the boards before picking them up so they don't clatter. Gently with the knife and spatulas to keep the noise to a minimum. The extra spatula in front of the meat before the brandy flambe for safety.
I love the way he cuts the vegetables and beef, it always looks so smooth and satisfying

The chef's movements were so gentle and deliberate. It's like he caressed the meat. Hope to eat here one day. I wonder if those eat all you can A5 wagyu places in Tokyo are any good. Hope to find out this year or next year! And can I just say, Satoshi looks so dapper in his outfit :)

That meal looked amazing! When he sliced the steaks, it looked so effortless. I believe the price was not bad compared to what I've seen being charged in the States ( Vegas, Hawaii, etc...) and the quality I don't think you can even compare what you had and what we have. Excellent choice!

That's a Big beef, humongous cut. But I still find it expensive. It must be really good to be priced that much. And for a Japanese who likes eating sushi and everything else raw, you like your beef medium well. I can only dream of having that, hahaha! 😁

I loved this. I don’t eat meat, but loved the whole experience. Thank you. The meat looked quite well done. I thought that they would only do rare! If I went with my hubby, when we are able, would I be able to have fish? I think the whole night looked worth the cost.

Mika Moo and I bought Kobe Wagyu from shin Osaka stn several times and cooked it back in our apartment in Kyoto for breakfast. Some of my favourite food memories.

This is; however, the one time that I didn’t get hungry while watching. The veggies looked amazing. I really don’t think I’d enjoy Kobe beef or even the higher grade Wagyu beef, as I do not like animal fat. I prefer a lean cut of beef and I trim all the fat off before I eat it. It’s a texture issue for me, not taste. I also do not like mango…though the Sherbet would appeal to my tastes. I love anything citrus. ✌🏻💕😊
Mango citrus?
Wagyu beef fat is completely different from ordinary beef fat. It is not chewy and does not need to be chewed. You can literally eat it without teeth. This may not be understandable until you try it once, but it changes the concept of beef. If that doesn't work, there is also a branded cow called Aka beef. Although it is lean meat without fat, it is tender so that it melts in the mouth🤤
@@lindalou7876 no, mango isn’t considered citrus. Citrus is grapefruit, oranges, lemons, limes, ugly fruit, etc…
@@elsk1031 hmm….no one has ever explained that to me. I’m not really close minded enough to say no to a new experience…I’ll have to at least try it before I make up my mind. But I’ll still be trimming the fat off the edges of any meat I consume. 😂
@@melissadunton3534 .....I too dislike animal fat texture and trim it, but then it becomes vitally important to cook the meat or poultry just to its optimum point of fulfillment.
My only complaint is that we didn’t see Satoshi’s face when he took his first bite! Ok, two complaints really….also that you didn’t invite me!!!!! 😢

The meal and service looks amazing but the price is scary.
It's just really fatty beef.. I still don't see the appeal in such a high fat percentage
Beef with heavy marbelling is readily available here in Australia but a far more desired type is beef/steak with seperate fat as we prize the softer, tastier flesh rather than the fat itself. As we have a high percentage of Europeans and Middle Easterners, beef done on a spit roast or directly on coals is the main cooking method apart from a bbq.

Kobe beef is a fad. No one needs that much fat in their meat. Its flavor can't match sirloin of angus (try a taste test). But it's expensive as hell. Nonsense meat! It's only a fad intended for ultimate profit.
It is not a fad. Wagyu beef - which Kobe is a variety of - has been produced in Japan for over a hundred years.
@@restaurantman Hundreds? No it hasn't. And in the west, it is a fad. An overpriced, overrated fad. I've had kobe beef many times, and it's not worth the money at all.
