This has to be my favourite painting to date. Snowdrops have a special meaning to myself and my family . When we lost our 3 year old grandson 13 years ago, snowdrops were the theme, and I have managed to grow them in my garden this year for the first time. Thank you for this workshop ❤
I'm left handed and think you are, too. How nice to see how you go about the process. Righties never approach painting as a left handed person does, even when they think they are with their tutorials. I love the Snowdrops. Can't wait to try them. Thank you.
Thank you , this was a lovely tutorial, and one I hope I can perfect . Snowdrops have special significance to our family too .These beautiful little flowers grew in abundance in every possible corner of my mothers garden , always present as we enjoyed the first days in the garden with her after winter . She would simply ease a little group of them up with her trowel, and re home them in a new little spot, off they would go ,creating a new colony . The hundreds of little groups a testimony to the lifetime of happy hours spent in its creation . Sadly when she passed away , the new owner razed her large beautiful gardens to the ground, but I’m willing to bet there will be snowdrops somewhere! Just looking at your beautiful painting , renews the essence of how it felt ,bing in that special place and time , with my Mother and sister, happily engaged in just being together, in early spring , in her garden …. with a trowel ♥️ Thank you again so much x
I love this. I never paint flowers. It's just not my thing, but his video makes me wanna have a go at something similar and also the fact that my daughter photographed snowdrops yesterday and sent it to me.
I always enjoy your teaching but thank you so much for doing this one. I need simplicity so I build my confidence in watercolor. Plus, I love snowdrops, such tenacious little friends.
This is stunning Harriet, I love how the snowdrops stand out from the dramatic background. A glimpse of hope indeed, or I really love the French name, Perce neige - snow piercers! X
This is lovely ❤ I am going to use it as a sympathy card because the snow drop is all about hope during a dark season and I know it will help my friend. Thank you as always Harriet for being such a bright lovely light yourself! You are so fabulous.
This is a lovely painting! ❤ Thank you so much for this video. I’ll try to paint it tomorrow 😊 I can also hear the rain 🌧️ there. It sounds exactly like here in The Netherlands
Looking lovely Harriet Thank you x our snowdrops are just begining to open in the garden so will look lovely soon and they are out of the wind thank goodness. thank you for sharing xx
Very interesting and beautiful. I love this delicate flower and have only seen them when visiting the UK. Your tutorials are so enjoyable band educational. Thank you. 🤗
this is probably something that most people don't know but all flowers have a meaning to them the snowdrop has many like most flowers do but the one i remember the most is hope
Love this...and I am happy to say that I have one of your book and I am absolutely in love with the book...just one suggestion can you increase the number of flower painting projects in your upcoming books if any ❤
Thank you Harriet. This painting is stunning! Can’t wait to “have a go”. 😊 Do you come “ up North” to do workshops? I live in Leeds Yorkshire and would love to do one in person. 😊
Beautiful! Our snowdrops have faint green dots at the edges of the petals. There are probably different varieties. I was wondering what the depth of your painting desk is....that is a great space saving idea since much of the depth is unnecessary especially if you have shelving above. My paint space is located in our loft and I would love to adopt this idea to save space!!
Many thanks for this. Just out of curiousity - did you pour the unused masking tape back into the bottle or have you got a method for keeping it in the palette without it drying out?
Really nice tutorial and produces a lovely piece of artwork! I have always thought that frisket (masking fluid) looked like such a pain in the buttocks but you make it look tolerable and very useful. Must one always sacrifice a brush every time it’s used? I think you said the brush could be covered in soap? Anyway, many thanks for sharing this video with us! ❤❤❤
Wait a minute, I see that your masking fluid is very fluid but mine is very thick, same brand, same bottle. Is this why the paper tears almost every time? I am so afraid of afraid to use it any more 😢. Would really appreciate yr reply, please, thank you. Love this video ❤❤❤❤
Loved this? You can now buy the exact same brushes that I use in my videos on my website dewintonpaperco.com/shop/

Trixie thank you for your moving message. I’m glad this tutorial was a comfort x
Thank you. X
I'm left handed and think you are, too. How nice to see how you go about the process. Righties never approach painting as a left handed person does, even when they think they are with their tutorials. I love the Snowdrops. Can't wait to try them. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!

New here, glad I found your channel. This is just lovely ❤ thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Can you please tell us the size of paper you use for your projects? That would be very helpful to me. I love this painting!
Thanks!
8x6 inches
Love this...and I am happy to say that I have one of your book and I am absolutely in love with the book...just one suggestion can you increase the number of flower painting projects in your upcoming books if any ❤
Thanks for the tip! Will certainly consider it!
What is a good substitute for moon glow? Or mixture of a deep blue and paynes gray?
Thank you Harriet. This painting is stunning! Can’t wait to “have a go”. 😊 Do you come “ up North” to do workshops? I live in Leeds Yorkshire and would love to do one in person. 😊
Oh Julie I would love to come up north, I went to Leeds Uni back in the day!!
Beautiful! Our snowdrops have faint green dots at the edges of the petals. There are probably different varieties.

Yes there are SO many different varieties. I learnt this when researching my latest book
Many thanks for this. Just out of curiousity - did you pour the unused masking tape back into the bottle or have you got a method for keeping it in the palette without it drying out?
Yes I did

Hmm, My masking fluid is quite old but has always been that liquid. Maybe give your bottle a good shake before use.
Lovely video thank you. Have you moved house? Your office is different.
We’ve built a new office!
For some reason I got unsubscribed, and after a couple of months found you again, as I didn’t realise I had been unsubscribed 😢😤🥳
Well we are very happy to have you back!
