Detroit become human wasn't about a robot becoming human. It was about realizing you have an identity. That you're alive. That is simply because someone asks you to do something. Does not mean you have to do it. Being free. Not bound by others. To make decisions for yourself. An live your own life.
I always thought about this but i think it's just me. Even in the game where android gets his own feelings, we, as a player, still command it to our will, make all sorts of different endings by playing with its life. For me that's how Detroit become human gets another layer of deepness, it might show you that android literally becomes human but only because another human commands him, as his life always been.
