Just finished putting snoods on 1200ft of line. Your video is getting me all fire up to get there. Question, do you prefer hard soft or sandy bottom to crab on or does it make a difference?
Hey Jake if you stick it out father south, in about 3 weeks the peeler run will wear out out!! The ultimate would be calms vrs chicken necks vrs bulllips.
nice video...is that a hard wire crab net? do you have link on where to buy one? I have been looking for a good one to use when dip lining crabs...thanks
Where can you get a bushel of razor clams and how much do they cost? Don’t want to get over charged. Anglers sells them by the gallon but I was told there over priced
@@robertralph739 ok don't use bones. I've used fish in traps along side of a line and fish works great. I'm guessing an oily fish like mackerel false albacore or bunker would work great.
I use to tie eel on the line and when I pulled the line in I would salt the hell out of the baited line and store it in a cool place and it lasted a couple of trips
That was Jimmy Watson old lay.
Interesting study - thanks for taking the time to do it

This warm weather has been great. I'm glad the crabs are coming out. Can you tell me where you get your net from
I can not I have a whole net fiasco going on. Am probably going to start making them.

Where is this at
i stopped crushing the clams over 10 years ago it doesn't help and also when they crushed it seems like the perch n spot can clean out the bags easier
Do you always run your lines that tight?
Run em tight as I can till I start seeing em drop off
How many minute to wait to catch the crab
Lots of variables. My go to is run everything as fast as possible, If I have to wait, I need to move my lines .
Ever tried fish in the clam bags.
It’s hard to get the fish bones out of the bags when your done crabbing.

Recs don't need trot lines. There's only so many crabs you can eat. I like the exercise I get pulling traps.
Have you ever invited a viewer to come help you for a day? And if not would you consider it. My mom lives in Marion station near christfield
Hard, sandy bottoms are better.
